He tends towards more traditional tailoring, but didn't make any fuss (like some of the other tailors around town) when I told him I wanted the sleeves a little higher to show some cuff. Took about a week and a half for him to finish, and charged ~$35. As far as I can tell, everything looked well done. Will be returning to him for all of my future tailoring needs. Only problems I had were that a) he doesn't take credit cards (luckily the bank is right around the corner, so not an issue) and b) it took a while to find the door to his shop the first time around. It's very inconspicuous, and I walked right past the door several times before I finally found it.

I had an awful experience with the town tailor. I brought in a bridesmaid dress and gave clear…read moreinstructions multiple times not to un-crisscross the straps and I had her replace the zipper that wasn't zipping up correctly. Not realizing she un-crisscross the straps till after I got home to try it on with my shoes. That when I realized the straps weren't criss-cross. When I pointed out the mistake, she told me, "We cannot undo what has been done." Also, when I went to show the dress to the bride to see if what was done would be okay, the zipper in the back split. The job was done so poorly that the dress became completely unwearable. I ended up having to order a brand-new dress because of the damage. When I told her I had to order a new dress I reached out to see if she would consider a refund. Her response was, "I'm sorry but I don't issue refunds . It took me time to do those alterations and I deserve to have my time be paid for" This was not only dismissive but incredibly unprofessional. I was left with a ruined dress, wasted money, and zero accountability from the business. If you value your clothing and don't want to risk the same treatment, I strongly suggest going somewhere else for alterations.

The business…read moreI left it with had it for a month, on the day I went to pick it up, it had been forgotten about and never even touched. This was the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding. I found Sew Creations on Facebook, sent her a message and she almost immediately responded back. She took my dress that evening, I picked it up by 9:00 the next morning. She did a fitting to make sure all was good, and even had it steamed. And the kicker? She didn't want a single dollar more.
