I'm back in Rosarito and environs after a 6+ year absence and visited Betty's for the first time…read morewith my cousin on September 27, 2023. You may wonder why I would visit an American-themed restaurant in Mexico. Since I was here last, Rosarito has embraced a more eclectic approach to restaurants, so why not? Besides, my cousin--who lives in Rosarito--said Betty's was a must, so there you go. It usually takes me only one visit--one bite, actually--to sum up a place and their cuisine. That may sound snobbish; well, yes, it is. Those who have followed me on Yelp over the past years know my credentials, so suffice it to say that I know food in and out and love everything from the most humble street food to haute cuisine. But before I took a bite of the food, what set this place in my stellar region were the owner and chef: Dante (front of the house) and his wife Stephanie (chef--and yes, I use the term chef as she's no mere burger-flipper). Dante went to great pains to explain how they source their ingredients and that many of them are made in-house--getting rarer every day, unfortunately. The exterior and interior would win no House Beautiful contest, but with food like this, who cares? My cousin and I got the Deli Burger with pastrami that actually would stand on its own. The beef was cooked spot-on with the accompanying ingredients bringing it together into a perfect whole. We got fries and onion rings; both were way above average and with a knock-your-socks-off horseradish sauce to dunk them in, I couldn't have been happier. But what truly sets Betty's apart is they sincerely care about their food and their customers. Let me repeat that--THEY CARE! Many restaurants have lost that but not here. So, if you come to Rosarito and don't stop by Betty's, your trip just won't be complete. And you don't have to take just my word for it--from the multitude of five-star reviews, it's obvious many, many others feel the same way.

He visitado Barrikas, Slowburger, Beverly Burgers, Indie Burgers, Mark Burgers, Nantli Burger,…read moreBurger Jack, Hulk's Y Truck 91. Esta son mis preferidas. (pueden revisar mi perfil para leer las demas) En estados unidos no es comun el concepto de un restaurante con un menú limitado, y si In-And-Out es exitoso, es por que se enfocan en hacer una sola cosa bien. Y te puedo decir que prefiero Yo Mommaz Burgers a In-And-Out.

I recently went to this restaurant for the first time and we ordered two hamburgers with fries and drinks. The ambience was pleasant, and the waitress polite and attentive. All seemed well, and we were looking forward to a nice experience, as my friend and I consider ourselves hamburger connaisseurs. After waiting for 20 minutes for our food, I asked our waitress where our orders were. I explained to her that several other parties that had arrived after us, were already eating. She said they would make them right away, and went to talk with the chefs. For another 20 minutes we watched them prepare and send out for delivery order after order to go, and we never received our orders. After spending 40 minutes waiting for our orders, I walked up to the chefs and told them to cancel our order, explained to them why, and we walked out. What was amazing was that they just gave us a look of indifference. They did not even offer us an apology! We were very angry when we left. This one of the rudest restaurant experiences I have had in a very long time. We ended up going to Carl´s Jr., which is in the neighborhood and did not disappoint.

I came down here because I have a friend from up north who's come down here a few times and suggested this place. He said it's one of his favorite places when he's in town, so that's saying a lot if it's a top place for him and the family. He was right. This was a juicy and incredibly tasty burger. I'd say it's up there with Amboy in Chinatown (Los Angeles) or the newer Amboy spot at Haven City Marketplace in Covina. This place is a gem. Ordering can be a little misleading; hence minus one star. This is a food court setup, and there are menus for each restaurant in these individual stands that are placed on top of a snack wall. If you're going to order from Rey TJ Burgers, it'll be to the left of the main restaurant/register that's directly in front of you when you enter. The main line is Mexican (and seafood I believe?), so I was standing for a while until a lady realized I was holding the Rey TJ burger and called me over. Ordering was easy. Rey TJ's didn't have drinks, so I hard to order from the Mexican food line. The cucumber aqua fresca was AMAZING. Definitely one of the best experiences since I've had since I've moved to the San Diego area. I'm loving it here more and more. I've also had the opportunity to practice a lot of Spanish which I absolutely appreciate. The people here are amazing and much warmer than many of the parts of Los Angeles. Buen dia!

It's a food court with its own shared parking lot. When we went in there was a huge line to the door. As you go up the line, there are multiple menus placed to your left in which they have multiple different food options to choose from. Gave me anxiety as I felt rushed coming here for the first time. A line gathering up behind us, ppl in front of me, didn't want to be rude reaching over ppl to grab the menus. So just waited as we moved up to look at them. There's so many options it's overwhelming. Once we got to the front, we were trying to place our order only to find out we waited in line for nothing. The burger line was the empty line to the left which there's no signage or nothing to explain. We did order 1 adobada taco, a horchata, & a sprite. The girl forgot my sprite, told me to go order in the left line for burgers. So when I was placing our burger order, I asked for the sprite I never received. The cashier for burger spot said I have to go back into the other line to order that. Confusing af. Luckily it had 2 customers & not a line out the door like when we first arrived. I ordered the smoked brisket burger, my son the Russel cheeseburger, & my hubby the "burgers & fries." My son did not touch his burger, literally went to waste. My husband said his was ok. As for my brisket burger, I did not like mine at all. It was super salty. It came with a meat patty & CHUNKS of cubed brisket? When I got smoked brisket I assumed it would've been like a pulled pork texture. Quite the opposite. They were chunks of cubed meat. I didn't finish mine. We took everything to go & didn't eat the leftovers once home. We paid around $50 for some less than mediocre burgers that I could've done better at home. I liked that the food court had a self serve salsa bar with plenty of salsas, ingredients, etc. The presentation of the food was good! But the food just wasn't it for us. Probably would never return tbh. Also, when we were wrapping up - the server was hovering over us to finish so she could take the boards/fry basket back. Not like we're gonna steal them. Lol. But I get it, maybe previous patrons have put them near the trash or thrown them away. As the burger place may be its own individual business aside from the food court.
