The staff here is extra cool and extra nice and extra patient as you try to decide what to get. We went in the late afternoon and there was still a great array of Donna to choose from. Prices are great for such a beautiful and delicious donuts. Make sure to grab a few extra because you'll wish you had.
Maybe the Best Apple Fritter of ALL Time! Man, they make a mean donut. We got a little variety box and everyone loved it. Also the coffee here is delicious. Too many donut shops have bad coffee, but not here. The service is great as well. Clean, quick and tasty. The ambiance is fun and unique. The donuts are well displayed and the vibe is fun. This is the donut spot in SLO.

I am going to say in advance that this is based on a takeaway my doughier brought in, and we ate it after 24 hrs . Really not great donuts - way too doughy , it airy enough , toppings were just not tasty . Perhaps we should have tried some other flavors and eat it fresh . All together - weak .
The cake donuts were good. The ube was not my fave. Friendly and fast service. Lively and colorful interior. The assorted donuts are so inviting. They have gluten free varieties too.
Friendly cozy local donut house. I reminisced about the legendary Sunshine Donuts that I remembered from years ago in SLO, and the donista (like barista?) said this place actually grew out of those roots. I like these cool snowmen/dough-men, a holiday offering.
Another absolute must-try spot if you're in SLO! Located next to Cal Poly SLO and there were many students studying at SloDoCo when we stopped by so it was pretty quiet. It's also open 24/7 which makes it perfect for a late night snack. They have so many unique and creative flavors for their donuts and some of the decorations on the donuts were amazing! Some of the unique flavors they had included mint, matcha, ube, thai tea, lavender, and even a Dubai chocolate flavor! My favorites would have to be the maple raised, mint, cookies and cream, and Dubai chocolate. But honestly you can't go wrong with any of the flavors and get a dozen if you're sharing with friends!

There's a large variety of flavors, from the classic glaze to more adventurous options like the creme brûlée. The donuts are fresh, light, and not greasy at all, which really elevates the experience. The friendly staff is another highlight. they're incredibly welcoming and always happy to chat about the menu, offering great suggestions if you're undecided. One thing I absolutely love is that SLOCODO Donuts is open 24 hours, which makes it the perfect spot for late night cravings or early morning pick me ups. Plus, there's always a nice buzz inside with lots of students studying, which adds to the laid back, inviting vibe. Whether you're in the mood for something traditional or want to try something new, SLOCODO Donuts has you covered. I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a box to enjoy
Slodoco is our family favorite in all of the world! Sounds a little dramatic, but pretty true. Service is always amazing. All employees are nice and personable. Every Slodoco I have been to has a very welcoming vibe, and this location is no different. This location is actually our favorite. The doughnuts were perfection as usual. We are not from the area, but every time we are in the area, even just passing through, it is the law to stop and get a dozen!
Just here to say that SloDoCo is a not so hidden gem of SLO and a must try donut stop if you're new to SLO or passing through the area. They care about the donuts they make and are constantly on top of stocking great donuts with more vegan and gluten free donut options (that are actually incredible) than any other donut place I've been to. I personally love the maple or lavender GF donuts. They have so many great donuts to choose from including classics and more elaborate flavor combos and designs. Monthly specials are always top notch so make sure to check out the menu. The artistry and themed donuts never fail to make me smile, and you can place custom orders ahead of time if you're looking for something extra special. They've been slaying the game for years! Iconic! If you're not into donuts or want to elevate your experience further, they also offer a great selection of drinks including coffee and espresso drinks, Thai tea, chai, and matcha lattes with nondairy milk options too. I've loved stopping in when I'm in the area and how can you go wrong with a donut? You can't. Open 24 hours, full of great vibes, and have fun events, so you really can't go wrong here. Perfect anytime, any day. One of the best places in SLO!
24/7 donut shop? YES please! This is a very solid donut shop. They're fluffy and not overly oily. Lots of variety and great service! Highly recommend the chocolate devil's food cake and marshmallow galaxy!! Donuts: 8.5/10 Service: 9/10
Everyone was super friendly. Inside is super cute. I like donuts but not love like donut lovers do. HOWEVER, their french cruller donuts are absolute divine! It's the best I've ever had. My boyfriend is not a donut lover either and he LOVED the french cruller (specifically the chocolate dipped one). He loved it so much he got half a dozen to share with my family since we were here on vacation. Side note, I had an iced mocha and it was perfection. We will definitely be back when we're visiting again.
A SLO staple! This location has lots of parking in the plaza as well as seating and wifi, so it's a great place to grab a (very) sweet treat and study, hang out with friends, or play some of their board games. I liked the wide variety of donut flavors from classics to monthly specials like the "Matcha Madness" one designed with a green jersey for March Madness. Many flavors have additional toppings like chocolate chips or rainbow sprinkles, and I liked that the glaze was pretty sturdy and wouldn't smear off so easily. I prefer the fluffy raised donuts, but the crumb cinnamon roll and pillow, which could use more evenly distributed filling, were fun to try. The apple fritter had a nice caramelized crust. I usually love floral flavors, but because the lavender glaze smelled and tasted strongly of lavender essential oils, I felt like I was eating a hand sanitizer or bath product. On the other hand, the matcha flavor could be stronger. Overall, I'm a fan of SloDoCo, and I'm happy they expanded near UCSB too!

Everything I would want in a donut shop! Open late, great variety of donuts all the time, A LOT of space to sit and enjoy. The donuts here did NOT have bland or bad tasting frosting. I have experienced many donut shops that make amazing looking/unique flavoring donuts but the flavor is bland or tastes like grocery plastic frosting. This place hit the marks in every donut I tried. They also have gluten free donuts that are pretty good! Even for someone who doesn't have to be gluten free, I could still enjoy one. read more

Donuts were nice and filling. Did not need to eat many to be full. I got the captian crunch donut and a colorful donut with nice frosting. Two people working. They were super nice and greeted me. HUGE selection with so many stuff to choose from. Unfortunately, I am not from here so this may be my only time to have it. The shop itself was cheery and had nice music. I read other reviews complaining about not many vegan donuts but right off the bat I can see that to be untrue. Feels like the donut slapped me because it really "HIT the spot!" Matcha - This is the most matcha tasting doughnut I have ever had!! It is for all matcha lovers. Boysenberry cream cheese - Anytime there is boysenberry I'm probably going to get it. It is so rare to find anything with that flavor. I loved the filling because it wasn't too sweet. Strawberry cream cheese - Same as the boysenberry, but different flavoring. Also so delicious. Glazed doughnut - When a doughnut shop has good glazed doughnut you know they know how to make doughnuts. All of the doughnuts here were soft even the following day. Whenever I asked someone for food recommendations in SLO, EVERY single person mentioned SloDoCo. In order to beat the line, we planned to wake up super early to get the day started and were able to arrive by 8 AM. By the time we left the store, the line was already starting to build out past the door. We were expecting something special based on all the good reviews, but none of the donuts looked particularly unique (maybe because of the day we came?). I was even searching for those matcha, lavender, or galaxy icing donuts but didn't see any. We ended up going with some recommended ones from the employee and whatever looked most unique. Red velvet raised donut: we specifically got this one because it had just come out fresh. It was amazing warm, but otherwise the texture and taste was nothing too special. If anything, the icing was pretty sweet. Maple cake donut: the flavor was decent, but the cake part was actually pretty dry. I'm usually a fan of cake donuts, but this one left me pretty disappointed. Nutella pillow: definitely my favorite donut that we got. It's a soft and doughy Nutella-filled donut that was a good balance of sweetness. More filling would have made it even better! Espresso filled donut croissant bar: the donut croissant texture was pretty good but the espresso filling had a faint sour taste. It was a bit unpleasant to eat and not what I had in mind for the flavor. Overall, the donuts were decent but I didn't find anything too special about them. I wish the flavors had been enhanced more rather than the sweetness of the icing. If you want to go, it might be worth calling ahead and seeing what flavors are available! read more

Amazing donuts. Walked in randomly at 2am and was met with fresh warm donuts. Everything there was tasty and demanded I return many times to try more. The maple chocolate chip pillow is my kryptonite. It was warm, it was different, and it is one of the best donuts ever. The only thing that would make this place better is if I knew exactly when those pillows were made so I could camp out for a hot, fresh one. Always a treat when visiting slo! read more
Run don't walk, herein lies the best tasting matcha donut I've ever had! Reasonably priced and centrally located right by Cal Poly SLO, this donut shop is a must visit when in SLO. It's a cool spot to hangout, wifi and password located right at the front. Coffee was piping hot and service was quick! I was under the impression I would get a plastic container for my one but they put it in a bag, more environmentally friendly which I'm all for. Lastly, they do accept credit card! read more
Delicious donuts! You can probably try any donut here and you won't be disappointed. Their old fashioned and glazed donuts were standouts for me. The service was super friendly and efficient. PROBABLY THE BEST DONUT PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN TO - must get at least half dozen every time we come to SLO PROs: - popular but not an unreasonable wait time - I think we waited ~10 mins and everything moves along quickly - LOVE the variety (matcha with coconut flakes, lavender, vanilla with chocolate chips, coffee cake flavor, old fashion - you name it) - reasonable prices - aesthetic donuts that don't sacrifice taste (you know how Portland has voodoo donuts but they just taste normal but look cool?) - Vegan options available (I'm not vegan) - Easy parking in a suburban plaza - Good service I used to think Blue Star in Portland was the best...but this blows it out of the water. Don't come too late (even though they're open late) because the donuts might run out. My 10/10 favorite is the classic lavender donut. read more

It's our first time here so went a little overboard and got a dozen to try. First one we devoured was the boysenberry cream cheese doughnut, and it was glorious (the one with the pink dot); if I lived in the area, I'd probably get one of these daily if I could (so maybe it is a good thing that I don't live in the area). We then tried the espresso filled doughnut, and it was good and creamy (just didn't hit the spot like the first one .... Maybe if I had a hot coffee to pair it with it might have been better, but I wanted to try the Thai tea which was delicious) ------- Update: box has been finished and my personal favorites are the boysenberry cream cheese, the strawberry cream cheese, the crème brûlée (delicious custard filling) and the seasonal strawberry crunch old fashioned. While all the donuts were tasty on their own, pairing it with a cup of coffee just elevates it. Will return when back in town read more
We ordered the chocolate pillow, minion donut, maple bacon bar, and the hotdog donut. We enjoyed all of the donuts except the hotdog one lol. The donuts were fresh and flavorful. The worker had great customer service. The inside was clean and they had a huge variety of donuts to choose from. We would definitely come back next time we come down to SLO. read more

This was such a cool stop on the way to Los Angeles! We ordered a chocolate cake donut and matcha donut. The matcha donut was unique and had a strong tea flavor. I love Asian flavors, and this was super yummy. As for the chocolate cake donut, I thought it was basic and nothing too special. The inside space was cool and it looked like a lot of students were studying inside. You can play board games, and it looks like a fun spot to hangout with friends! read more

There was a line outside when we first arrived on a Sunday morning, but it moved pretty quickly. They allow only 6 people inside. All of the donut varieties were also available. My favorite was the galaxy donut - the frosting was thick and soft and not too sweet. read more
