There were a few people in there, enjoying their wine flights. To be fair, I would try Aspen sky again and just expect to have a wine tasting! The inside was very lovely though. However, I suspect that the menu prices are inflated to offset the BOGO savings, so it doesn't end up being much of an actual benefit. My wish is that they would focus on improving the quality and consistency of the food and charge prices that appropriately cover their costs while still allowing them to make a profit. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon, which is sad because there is so much to like about the location and atmosphere.

Note their entrees are upwards of $30-50 on average, so if you take this deal you're saving a pretty penny. Here you'll find all of the meat and seafood options to try. In the end I landed on the shrimp & scallop stir fry and boy was it good. Scallops were cooked just right and the flavor was on point. I also had to of course try my husband's steak and it was fantastic. Also fantastic was our server, Shaun. He took wonderful care of our table, and even gave us a great rundown of the entire dessert tray. He knew his stuff! We ended up ordering a handful of sweet treats to end the evening. All in all, this place should be on everyone's list to try!

So we went back to the first fenced in Orchard. There are tables outside and two modern farmhouse type buildings where you can get snacks by donuts. They are both adorable. They have a beautiful little walkway up to the Orchard with a swing and a bench. We would go back. But I would probably go back earlier in the season. Nonetheless, the apples were absolutely delicious! Shadow to the employee who let us carry one small bag because of health issues. The first place that you go to to get the bags would not allow it. So, I just wanted to give him credit for being so kind.

Ticket prices are a bit cheaper at West Bend Cinema and I think their leather chairs are more comfortable than what Marcus has. The building itself is in serious need of maintenance though. For example, part of the black frame around the movie screen in auditorium 5 was torn and you could see a large section of plywood behind it. Also, there were multiple buckets on the floor in the hallway to catch water that was leaking through the roof and the ceiling tiles above the buckets looked really crappy like this had been happening for a while. I hope ownership is able to fix things up so it can keep this place going as long as possible.

I turns out this museum has been here for almost 40 years! After a brief overview by a staff member we started to wander around the two floors that contains over 100 cars. Their speciality are Kissels which were built in Hartford - again, who knew? Lots of interesting cars. They have a very nice display of not only cars but car related memorabilia. Three classes of open wheel cars and we watched follow the leader on the bottom of the track with the winner coming from the front row for 15 races or more. Fastest qualifier was the very first car with the track drying up and becoming a slip and slide and a slow one groove track all night. I have never seen a dirt track watered on the top and bottom with nothing put in the middle. The top was not working until the last race. Four of us drove 5 hours to see the show only to wonder why are they not getting this track fixed/watered. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Probably will never come back...

I'm giving Oconomowoc Days a 3 star review…read more I'm glad the fine people of Oconomowoc woke up and realized they needed to bring the carnival back. Growing up, this was THE EVENT OF THE SUMMER! Why they ever stopped doing the carnival is beyond me. This year is the first year back, and even they admitted it needed some work. They had a TIlt-A-Whirl, along with some kiddie rides / attractions, and a fun house. OK, so that aspect would be about 1-2 stars. The rides were kind of lame. But on the plus side, you got an extra long Tilt-A-Whirl ride. My husband and I did the 5K on Saturday morning, and it left a little to be desired, until the guy in charge explained to us he only had about a month to put everything together. However, all proceeds went to the food pantry and to reinvigorate Champion Field. Hooray on that end! I like the family friendly 'ticket' program - instead of giving the carnies cash, you give them tickets for the game (Purchased at the tent) and they give you fake "Oconomowoc Days Dollars" that can be redeemed. Hokey, but it did work. They also used the tickets in the beer tent, so no pressure to tip the volunteer bar maids. They did offer live music and entertainment, which seemed to draw a lot of people. They also had a drawing to win a Harley. In my opinion, there were a few kinks that need to be worked out, but this was a good start. I hope they bring it back next year, but use the feedback they received to improve on it. Viva Oconomowoc Days!

The food and beverages are always a reflection of the festival (Strawberry or Harvest), and they're tasty. There are several cash stations and banks nearby, but always best to bring cash. Great for families and adults to have fun. It ends at 6pm on Saturdays and 5pm on Sundays.
