The staff was knowledgeable and had a lot of patience with the younger kids. There's a bunch of fun photo opportunities around the store. The Slime Factory is perfect for a kids birthday party or a large group. There's always deals for this place on Groupon so make sure you check there before paying full price. My sister and brother in law planned a huge birthday party for my niece and had approximately 30 kids here on a Saturday afternoon. For the price that everything cost to be her 1-3pm (with some setup time beforehand), it's crazy that basically the kids just get to do two rounds of DIY slime. Other than the exorbitant price per kid, it's neat that the kids got to choose what charm they want, what color glitter they want, what color of slime they want and even what scent they want the slime to be (chocolate of marshmallow). The three staff members who were present that day were knowledgeable and attentive. Most importantly, the kids loved it! Slime Factory, please install indoor sinks in the facility. Staff didn't let us use their employee-only restroom that was inside, but it was also very difficult to have to go wander around the mall to find the closest restroom (which is fairly close but like with 30 kids, it's impossible). read more

I would NEVER ever recommend the Slime Factory in NJ. My family and I had the worst experience. I pre order tickets on line presented to staff (5 girls sitting at desk) who looked at my receipt from on line order and told me I could not use it as it was "the wrong location" which is was not. At this point my family and I traveled about three hours to get there. The only resolution the five teenagers provided was that we had to buy the tickets again in store. At this point after driving specifically 3 hours to get there I had to buy tickets again that were more than what i purchased on line. I asked for the manager (none on site) I went back and forth with him via email for over a month - as he would NOT issue me back my refund from when his staff had me buy again despite showing my on line purchase/my bank statements etc. showing what and when I ordered/paid. After over a month of ME emailing and calling the "manager" issued me back a cheaper discounted return price and offered me a $10 gift card to there in NJ location - why after this whole disappointing and frustrating ordeal that lingered for over a month would they even offer a gift card back there after all they have caused - such a slap in the face. After all of this and the actual in person experience I would not recommended the company to anyone. We all were highly disappointed and in shock at the lack of professionalism, help, and resolution. read more

I recently visited slime factory and a young spanish girl with black hair and an african American girl with locs were in the front. I went at 7:45 and they turned me away with 7 children. They then proceeded to give attitude . Like they didn't want to even do their jobs.This is false advertising considering it says the store closes at 9 I am aware the experience takes 45 mins which was well into the window before they close . The attitude when I said I thought the store closed at 9 was the first part while the spanish girl was playing with slime right in front of me . We arrived at 4:45 for our 5pm slot. Total experience lasted 30 minutes. A few minor hiccups along the way. There seemed to be a shortage of goggles and lab coats in the front area and the workers seemed to be stressed out about this, yelling across the room to each other. I think walkie talkies of some sort would be a better way of interacting instead of yelling over the customers. The girl at the front desk wasn't too friendly. There was one older fella who seemed to be running the show and everyone else was just going with the flow. I think the young staff needs some proper training on how to interact with customers. For one they could be a little more friendly and outgoing. I've made slime plenty of times so I honestly didn't feel like this was a unique experience for us. I drove over an hour to check this place out. I don't recommend you do the same unless you live in the area. It was cool for the photo ops. The place was clean enough. No bathrooms. read more

I just brought my daughter ( birthday treat) and her 2 friends today (10/10/22 at 12 nn in Menlo Park Mall, NJ). I paid for 3 full Experience Pass. A Totally Forgettable Full Experience! We got there at 12nn and it didn't open til like 12:15sh. The entire experience was a disaster. There were only 2 employees working at that time for 13 kids and 1 of the employees was completely clueless on what to do. Kids were asking for help and he said "it's my first day here so i don't know what to do! " Hmmm.... Glad my girls are slime experts so they knew exactly what to do... my daughter and her friends mentioned that their glue wasn't enough to make great Slime so they were asking for more but they were just ignored as the other employee has her cellphone glued to her ear... she was literally on a call chatting with someone! I was getting upset but kept my composure just to give them a chance to help the kids--They did manage to help some kids ( mostly younger ones with their grown ups ) but not everyone in general! One of the employees was pouring the activator to the bowl of the kids like a priest blessing the kids with holy water.... Oh my! Way too much activators and slime came out like vomit and the kids were getting frustrated and upset. I asked for assistance for my girls and she told my girls i'm gonna help them. Oh great I said.... She turned her back and started pouring stuffs on her own bowl then she made slime and handed the finished product to my daughter. Then, she made more slime on her bowls then handed it to the friends of my daughter.... What a great slime experience for the worker/ employee and not the my daughter and her friends! When it was time to put charms and glitters and beads... my girls asked politely for a specific colored charms and gems and the worker said you can't pick a color! WHew!! It's literally like you get what you get and you don't get upset! The were handed just one piece of charms each. The girls were asking for more but again they were ignored. Your website says charms and beads but the my girls had a charm ( 1 pc) and no beads! Everyone started to leave after making slimes. I paid for the full experience pass so I asked for the other things included such as the Print Certificate, Selfie Picture at the Slime Pool, Selfie Picture at Photo Booth. The employee on his first day at work was cluless again so we waited for the other employee to be available. There was no slime pool and the other worker just directed my girls to a sand basin and said you have only 3 minutes to play there! I have no idea of what their photo booth looks like because there's none! Before stepping out of the store, i asked again for the certificate for my 3 girls and a plastic bag where I can put the slimes since their sloppy disposable slime containers ( chinese take out containers are way better) can't keep the slimes securely. The two workers were now busy for the new batch of kids! We had to wait for a bit in order to get the 3 piece paper certificates and was informed they don't have a plastic bag. In addition, I ended up writing the names in their certificates! After paying 3 full experience passes for my girls, I can simply say this slime experience is a total rip off and an awful experience for the Full Experience I paid! I'm glad it's a weekday rate otherwise, this unpleasant slime experience would have cost me a fortune. Prior to this experience, I brought my daughter and her friends to sloomoo museum ( slime museum in NYC). The experience was amazing and the quality of slime and packaging of the finished product was of great quality with bags to carry their slime and was included in the package. We were hoping for something similiar or if not close at least a pleasant experience. I hope Slime Factory can provide a better slime experience and service for their customers! read more

The owner or the manager on the other hand needs to learn some etiquette on how to talk to his employees. He was not mentoring them instead he talked down to them in front of customers. This place is poorly run and a waste of money. We went for an experience but they called us before we arrived to remind us what time they closed (an hour after our scheduled time). There was no enthusiasm or direction in the experience. The kids kept asking me what to do next. The young lady directing the slime making hardly spoke and didn't give much direction. They made the slime and sat down to play. She them motioned them to play in the slime pool for a timed 3 minutes. No one else was in the place. Another employee kept telling us they have to close at 7 because she had somewhere to go, it was the last day for one of her coworkers and no one else could stay later. After the kids made slime and played in the slime pool for 3 mins, the workers seemed to just disappear. No direction given, no indication the "experience" was over. Staff is rude like I mean really rude, even rude to the kids. This should have been a fun thing for the kids to do but the staff did most of the work because they didn't have the patience for my kids to actually do it. Also we were there for about 20 minutes because she rushed through it and clearly wanted us to leave so she could get back to ripping up a wall? I paid $70 for the staff to physically rip slime out of my child's hand. The energy in the establishment is just terrible because the employees are so rude and miserable. I even watched someone try to deny service because they close in an hour and a half?! I have been so excited for my kids to get old enough to come here and i was so disappointed by the way were so rudely treated and the fact that my kids barely had fun. My daughter even had an allergic reaction and they wouldn't even give her some water to rinse her hands. So we walked in with my daughter and there was no one in the store other than the employees (who I must say were very pleasant and kid friendly) -- it was probably empty because school was still in session at the time we got there. They weren't going to allow my daughter do the "full experience" since she's only 4 but the site says 4 and up, so they said a parent would have to assist if we wanted that package. The experience overall was very rushed which I couldn't understand why since she was the only child in the place. Lastly, online it said she would get a certificate which she did not get. Overall, I feel that it overpriced for what it was. The young adults working with the kids were okay, but not overly engaging. The manager/owner (not sure) was rude and very abrupt with my special needs nephew. He also was perturbed when I asked to see the ingredients on the shaving cream. My son had a dairy allergy and we check everything. The kids--4 ages 8, 9, 10, and 13-had a good enough time, but we're satisfied with only going the one time. My 10 year old commented on how he didn't like the one guy (same one mentioned above). If you go, be sure to ask for add ins (little figures, jewels, etc) for the slime when they give you glitter. One star ONLY because you can't give zero stars! What an absolute waste of time AND money. There is zero direction given, the process is entirely unclear, and the staff are not friendly or engaging at all. The place could learn a thing or TEN about organization. Simple fixes like having the plastic tops for the slime cups actually on the empty slime cup would save them a ton of time, rather than handing them out individually while people are waiting for more activator for their slime or glitter etc. And don't waste your money on the "Full experience" ticket because all its full of is shit. They advertise that you will make two kinds of slime and that is as far as you get for your money. You will make two kinds of slime, but the bead(s) or glitter, charm(s), and scent(s) are not what is offered. You will get one single bead for your child's slime and it's not a choice- you are told to choose one. The full experience also lists sensory play in a slime pool or season pool but after waiting, painfully for the process to move along just to make the first slime there was no way we were waiting for the kids to essentially play with snow in a box. We live in NY and it's December, I assure you we will get plenty of that. And while I understand many places are understaffed, if you aren't able to handle say 30 people booked for 3pm maybe don't allow that many people to book. It's not only unfair to the paying customers (especially those looking and paying for a full experience) but also for the staff. 10/10 do not recommend!! read more

While they officially open at 10am they may not open the doors until 11am. They say no need to make an appointment during the week, but arrive 2 minutes late and they will tell you they are too busy and to come back in another hour. I expected the staff to be great with kids, maybe play a slime game with them or give them tips/tricks, instead they were were disinterested and did the bare minimum. They had little to no interaction with the kids. The only reason I gave them more than one star was because the girls enjoyed themselves making the slime and playing in the little slime pool, but that was by default because they love slime! $25 is way to pricey for the "experience" which wasn't much of one, definitely not a full hour . We had the room completely to ourselves (weeknight) so there was no excuse for the bland service. Place has potential, but need more activities and better staff! Oh yea, no bathrooms! What?! I was looking for something different to do with my sons and I found this place via google. When I went to book online there was a 5pm slot open which was later than I was hoping. I called and spoke with Brad who told me to book it for 5 then call him back and then he would change it to 3pm which I did which was awesome because that time worked better for us. I was impressed with the customer service right off the bat. The place is located on the second floor near Nordstrom (almost diagonal from Color Me Mine). It was $34 for the full experience which I thought was reasonable. They have several staff members assisting the kids at the long tables making the slime. They make a clear one and a fluffier one. You can also put topping on (glitter, beads, etc.) but my 5yr old wasn't interested in that. Then you were able to "play" in a slime pool for 5min which my son loved. It takes about an hour to do which was perfect. It is a little cramped but if you have little ones (I also have a 1yr old), you can leave your stroller on the side of the store. It did get hot in there but you're also in a mall plus a lot of people are in there so there's not much you can do. I thought the staff was friendly and the service was great. We had a great afternoon and it was nice to change it up. read more

He consistently yelled at staff members in front of clients (mostly children) who should never be put in that position. Take my advice just buy some glue and shaving cream food coloring glitter and make your slime at home it will be much cheaper and more fun! We visited the slime factory on 2/19/20 and overall did not have a good experience at all. First when it was time for the kids to actually make their slime- the staff took the slime from them and did the kneading for them- and even when the kids- which were all 8 and over- asked to knead their own slime, they were told they couldn't do it... right off the bat that took away from the experience of actually making slime. We were there with 9 kids in total and did the 25 dollar package for each of them. Then it came time to decorate their slime and add stuff to it and my niece was told she could only add a scent to one of her slimes- for 25 dollars she should have been able to add a scent to how ever many slimes she made. Then at the end of the less than one hour experience- the kids were reprimanded quite a few times by A man who to me looked like the owner or manager because he not only reprimanded the kids but the staff as well. He told one of the kids to stop jumping, even went as far as to yell and curse behind the counter when he thought nobody could hear him. There was a display where kids are allowed to take pictures which had some slime and other stuff that looks appealing to kids, so as many kids would do- they touched it- and they were again reprimanded. Overall our experience which cost us over 200 dollars in total- was a total disappointment and not worth it at all. Save your money, buy some glue and shaving cream and do it at home!!! read more
