Playland is best suited for younger children, probably ages two to nine. It has two levels and a small dedicated play area specifically for toddlers. Adults can sit at small tables and chairs nearby, and they do allow you to bring in food, though the dining options in the mall are somewhat limited. On a rainy day, this can be a good place to spend a couple of hours. The current rate was $20 per child, with no charge for adults.

Several birthday parties, almost all tables in use, but this wasn't a detriment. I brought my 2 year old and met his friend there, and they had a ton of fun in the toddler section. A couple of times rambunctious older kids tried to take over the ball pit in the toddlers only area, and staff actually came to redirect those children to the appropriate play structure. This was FANTASTIC! I wasn't sure that they would do that, and was in the process of moving my toddler to a different section for his safety the first time a staff came over. Another time a manager came over to redirect older kids right after they zoomed into the area, and another time a staff member redirected older kids before they entered. It was the busiest I've ever seen it there, but they were definitely well staffed and doing a great job. This did mean I didn't feel comfortable letting my toddler on the larger play structure, but that was not a problem for me. We have gone on it when there were fewer kids and it was fun, but I was especially glad he was happy in the toddler section almost the whole time. I definitely recommend this place as an activity for your family. I'm not sure of when kids age out of it being fun, but it does provide great value. When you pay for admission, you get 2 free adults per kid, free siblings under 1, and can reenter later in the day. They open at 10 am on the weekend and the second time we went, for my son's 2nd birthday, we got there just after opening and had the whole place to ourselves for a bit. It's been fun when it's busy and when it's not.

The booking process is quite simple with the waiver sign off and they quickly check you in at the front desk too. The facility is well maintained and top of all safe and "Kid friendly". I definitely don't find the cost worth it as it relates to paying to have a party there. your basically paying for reserved tables as everything else they give you is not special plus they have additional cost to bring outside food. Overall, probably will be back to have regular play dates but not booking a party here nor would I recommend. My sister did the one in east brunswick a year ago for her son and that was a way different experience so could just be this location.

Outside dessert is allowed at no extra cost. If you'd like to bring outside food, there's an $80 fee. They were also very accommodating with decorations. I was able to bring balloons, and since they didn't have the party theme I wanted, they allowed me to bring my own plates, cups, banner, and other party décor. The party package includes two hours total, with 90 minutes in the party room. Overall, it was a really good experience, and everyone especially my daughter had an amazing time. My only minor critique is that the token to dollar ratio is a bit high, with 10 bucks equating to 20 token and most rides ranges from 4-6 tokens, which is about 2-3 dollars per ride, which is often a minute or less. One of the rides also had a wheel that was broken, so the ride ended sooner due to be unable to dodge the obstacles. The claw machine also costs about 5 token each, which equates to 2.50 per try. Nonetheless, Just Kidding Universe Playground is definitely a great place for kids to have fun and spread their wings of creativity. It's a pretty big playground compared to others we've been to! The ball pit area and climbing n/slide area is really nice and has lots of areas to crawl around and play, even 3 swings on the bottom area. They made great use of the whole space! They have different areas for kids to play, 2 Lego tables to play, different walls to put Lego and other wood sticks to put into the wall, a "sand" box which has small wood blocks instead of sand, lots of activity toys and overall many rides and toys to try out! They also have a supermarket and kitchen area for creative play. The other part of the play universe is arcade games and mini rides for kids from small to older. I like that they have this combines, if you have kids different ages they all have areas to play. Older kids might enjoy the arcade area more while younger kids play in the play areas. I definitely recommend the indoor playground to come and play! You get a few coins when you check in and can try out a few games. Fantastic concept!
