I ordered through the drive through. it's AI. it did pretty well until I asked questions, then had to get a real person. I ordered the chicken meal and subbed the fries for mushrooms. I love those mushrooms. I had to wait a bit for the mushrooms. I got my food and pulled into the parking lot to eat it. I'm anti social sometimes. the mushroo.s were great, the chicken was burn your mouth hot. the texas toast was limp and pathetic. I love the texas toast. but overall it was a great quick meal. the lady working the drive through was exceptionally great. the chicken was still juicy. the mushrooms are great dipped into the Honey mustard. no pictures because I couldn't take the time. read more

The gf and I decided to try something different tonight... We thought about driving to our old standard of Popeyes but ultimately chose something a little closer. It was our first Slim Chickens experience. I got the crispy classic chicken sandwich and fried mushrooms. She got the cayenne ranch chicken sandwiches. It was $27 and change. So a little pricey but from what I understand everything is made to order. We both loved our sides, but the chicken sandwiches were kind of lackluster and sad. They were small and the chicken was a little tough. Especially for the price.... $5.49 and $7.19. The best of both worlds would be to get your chicken sandwiches from Popeyes at $4.99 ea. Maybe grab some biscuits too.... And then grab them mushrooms and okra from Slim Chickens. Maybe we hit them on a bad night.... But when you have chicken in your name it should be what you nail... Right? My three stars are based solely on the sides and service. Service was fantastic and that's being said having never gone inside. Taking our order at the board to the international at the window. Stellar! The sides. Cooked perfectly and really great options for a drive through! The chicken sandwiches. They just fell short. We'd try them again, but with Charlotte's Kitchen, Chicken Heat, and so many other options in the metro.... It's hard to justify paying that much again for what we got tonight. read more

We ordered 3 meals, both wings and strips. Got some spicy bbq and some honey bbq. The service while ordering was fine, nothing outstanding. The restaurant was clean, again, nothing outstanding. The food was good, except the one wing that needed more time in the fryer. Overall, I'll give em another shot. read more

Came here multiple times now and finally got a chance to review it. For a chain it is fresh and yummy. Different compared to other chains because they take a bit longer but worth it! The chicken and waffles are perfect! The chicken is juicy, tender, and crispy with enough seasoning that you can actually taste. The waffles are perfect! It's not some frozen waffle like other places! Perfect Belgian waffle that's soft on the inside and crisp on the outside! Also perfectly flavored with hints of sweetness and butter. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was perfect too! Thick crispy chicken that's not dry, it was juicy and tender. The Nashville hot could've been spicier, for me, but for the public it's definitely a good heat. Slaw and pickles added to the flavor of the San which perfectly to cut the fried food. Fried pickles were great to! It was perfect battered to where it was not overly breaded. So you can actually enjoy the pickles rather than the grease. Would go there again. read more

I understand it was rush time - around 6pm, however, my husband requested no lettuce or tomato & I wanted a grilled chicken wrap just as is. The only thing correct in our order was the drink & side of fries. My wrap came with nothing in it & the smallest amount of chicken & we were able to peel of the husbands veggies he requested off. I added our receipt to show what was asked & how much our meal was. Not worth the price & thoroughly disappointed. read more

This was a Grubhub delivery for us, so we didn't go to the actual restaurant. We didn't even realize that it is also a chain. The meal pack was appealing and really easy to order. The tenders are actually tender, and not too chewy. The Mac and cheese was really smooth and cheesy- as it should be. The leftover was even better heated up just a few drops of Sriracha. Cole slaw was okay, we like it a bit creamier. The only negative is that the Texas toast tasted more like the griddle and was dry. Pretty satisfied over all, now we need to stop in and check the place out because we know the food already is good on the palate. read more

Stopped in due to the Chick's Meal Deal in the app. Ordering online was very easy. I arrived early and waited inside while my food was prepared. Melvin was working the front register and was very kind. He politely showed me where my food would be and offered me a treat while I waited. I haven't seen that kind of care or service in a while. Later, a staff member brought me my food directly. I wish I would have had cash on me to tip them both but since I didn't ... I felt an honest review was the next best thing. The service at lunch today was fast and friendly. I ordered the Club sandwich and was not disappointed. It was full of fresh ingredients and nicely prepared. The staff brought my food promptly to my table. I have experience at several Slim's locations and each time they've been consistent. Personally, I'd like to see them add some life to their sides (seasoned fries, spicy pickles, etc.) They have a southern vibe but are missing some of the kick. read more

Not enough dining room seating. You won't survive on drive through alone, ask the BK that you replaced how that worked out I chose the drive through and spent :40 minutes total waiting on the line and actual food. read more

Too pricey for where (Iowa) and what it is. Although, I did like the honey bbq wings.

This is a great franchise and every meal I have ever gotten in Georgia, Arkansas or Missouri I would put in the category of at least good and yet after 5 trips to this location I can say that they have yet to get a order correct and part of the meal is usually not hot (The fries toast and tenders are never the same temperature at this location). I will not be back but I suggest letting this chain go as the owners of this location don't seem to care and we will be getting a Rasing Canes chicken soon anyway (They make sure their food is good). read more

Bad quality chicken in my opinion, fries cold, bread not even toasted. Just wouldn't recommend unfortunately, I wish it was a canes instead.

New business that is struggling a little. Windows staff not very friendly. Got our food to go and fries were just barely warm and bread was supposed to be browned. but was just soggy with butter. Just didn't find it all that good. Sure was hot but just no flavor other than super salty. Ordered shakes but their machine was down. I had to ask for a replacement drink which was fine just thought they should've told us that when food was delivered.
