After reading through the reviews here, and noticed how solid they were. I decided to give this…read moreplace a try. Today was our 2nd visit for my son. The challenge is always the same: finding a barber or hairstylist who is experienced in cutting multiple textured hair, as my son has the head of three or four people. Plus, the other issue is that most barbers just use a pair of clippers and cut everything the same... I read the reviews on Dennis, and this guy is the real deal. Not only is his last name Shears, but he also knows how to use them. How ironic. Dennis knows his craft, and what I truly love about this guy is that he really takes his time and educates his clients. He is excellent at explaining things to my teenage son, and you can really tell he is passionate about his trade. He asks before doing something, explains why he is doing it, and teaches how to properly style your hair. I have stories about my son getting cut by barbers, having barbers who use a clippers with one hand while talking on their phone to their buddies... Had a hairstylist cut totally uneven hair... I have seen it all. If you are looking for a professional experience, a place that truly wants you to look your best. Emory Haircutters Barber Shop is your place to be. Dennis is truly remarkable. I couldn't recommend him anymore. He is well worth the 80-minute round-trip drive. [Review 739] - 12th Review of 2025

I wish I had made the switch wayyyy sooner! Miss Veronica was so sweet, and very skilled. She was really attentive and understanding of how I wanted his hair to look, which was great because I'm terrible at explaining anything to do with boy's haircuts. The shop is small, but cozy, and had a family vibe. It definitely seems like everyone who goes there knows what's up. Pricing was great, $20 for a youth haircut. Chuck Simon's Barber Shop (and Miss Veronica) is a gem and I will absolutely be coming back when he needs his hair cut again!

We've been barber hopping for the past two months and it has not been the best experience. I really wanted to make sure my toddler had a pleasant experience at the barbershop. Unfortunately we've had the trap barbers, I won't go into detail. He's walked out the shop looking like he didn't even get a haircut. And I've been scammed on StyleSeat by Someone who had hacked into a barber's profile. I decided to try yelp since I was striking out on StyleSeat. Troy was beyond amazing! I called that morning to find out if they even serviced four--year-olds. He answered. He said they serviced 4 yr olds He said he had same day availability . In my haste I booked the appointment online but did not pay attention to the barber who I selected. As luck would have it, I was in a fender bender down the street from the barbershop 30 minutes before the appointment so I called to cancel due to the fact i was going to be late waiting on the police. Troy answered and mentions that I had not booked with him but the other barber allowed me to cancel. Troy actually drove to meet me at the accident site because he said he was heading in my direction. He told me that once he was done running an errand he would still give my son a haircut. I was nervous. So many people had screwed up cutting this little boys hair. Not Troy!! He was patient and even danced to my son singing Baby Shark while he was in the chair. He pulled up a chair and let me sit close by when most barbers wave you off to the waiting area. We will definitely be back! Glad to have found a convenient, family friendly barber shop!
