WARNING: THIS RESTAURANT REFUSES TO PROVIDE ANY CHANGE WITH A CASH PAYMENT…read more Stopped here for lunch with some friends during the Haddonfield Arts Festival. It was a chance to refresh from the heat and grab a bite. With all the choice of restaurants, we did not choose well. The three of us were in there almost an hour to have lunch. Two of us ordered the shrimp kebab entrees, one ordered the chicken kebab. It took almost half an hour for those to come out. The shrimp plate had only THREE shrimp! For $21. The chicken plate had FOUR small pieces of chicken. Service was terrible and the food was just OK, although the vegetables were good. The surprise came when the bill was delivered. They do not provide change!!! If you pay a $61 check with a $100 bill, or any bills greater than the amount, you get nothing back! They just presume that's what you want to tip! I never heard of such a thing. We didn't have a lot of small bills with us after shopping at the festival, and had not expected such an absurd policy. So we paid as they requested, with exact change to meet the bill. The waiter got himself a 96 cent tip. No manager was available to ask why there was such a ridiculous policy. None of us would ever ever ever go back to this restaurant ever again. There are so many good restaurants over there, my suggestion is to try anywhere else.

The sandwiches were fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by everyone. The staff were incredibly kind and generous. The person preparing our order gave us extra sauce and even added baklava sweets for free. When he found out the order was for a school event, he also gave us a discount, which we truly appreciated. Great food, great service, and wonderful people. Highly recommend!

My Albanian wife and I loved our lunch experience here. It was our first time…read more They had a special hummus with ground lamb appetizer. The ground lamb didn't overpower the already expertly executed hummus and added fantastic depth and richness. We also sprung for the grilled calamari tubes and the chef did a great job of not overcooking while achieving an excellent char. We shared the baked cod and the spice was delicate and perfect. Using cured lemon was a very clever idea as the sauce was not too strong but still had depth; the saffron and turmeric were well balanced. The fish itself was NOT overcooked and flaked perfectly. The vegetables were also executed well and cooked so they could be eaten with the same bite. The star of the show was still the cook on the fish with the wonderful sauce. The sever gave us some Moroccan mint tea which was also wonderful. We will be making the drive from the Maine Line to just to dine here again.

I have no idea what it was called, but the one that was slightly spicy and had a similar flavor to a Mexican salsa was a surprise and a delight. I loooooooved the fluffy bread that was served to the table. Fresh, steaming hot, and the perfect utensil for testing out the dips. I'm not sure what it was called - it wasn't a pita, I don't think, since it was much lighter. But 10/10, no notes, give me 14 of them. I was craving beef, so I went for the shish kebab. Hands down, one of the most memorable I've had in a very long time. So tender. I loved the perfectly grilled vegetables. I absolutely loved adored the rice - so well seasoned, light and fluffy. Finally, baklava. I would say this was my only disappointment. The serving was miniscule. Service was lovely.

I'm very fond of the interior which is charming and understated, with an area for prayer for Muslims which is exceptionally convenient. We got lamb shank with Kabuli Pulao and chicken kofta kebab with pulao. Both were absolutely amazing. The lamb is extremely soft and tender while being juicy at the same time. Their chicken kebab is amazing too; the rice is some of the best I've had. And we always generously douse it in their white sauce, some of the best sauce I've had. I think the flavor profile is great even for people who can't handle spice, it's flavorful and very manageable even for mild Western palates.
