I got the Bro Burger and it was only $6 so I added fries for $5. The burger was fresh and delicious - served with burger sauce, pickles and fried onions on a brioche bun. The fries were tasty and portioned well for the price. My only complaint is that they were cold. That kind of ruins the taste. Cold fries are a no! Service was quick and friendly. The young lady explained the menu to me which helped me to decide. I did feel bad for her because it was pretty cold inside! Might explain the cold fries. I will definitely try SmashBros again but when it's a little warmer outside. We DoorDashed from SmashBros and everything hit the mark. The food came fast, hot, and wrapped up nicely. The fries were golden, crispy, and generously portioned. The cheesesteaks were packed, mine had fried onions and Cooper sharp, no extras needed. The chicken cheesesteak had both big and shredded chunks, also on a seeded roll that wasn't overdone. Great quality, great flavor. Definitely ordering again. I went to one and the chicken cheesesteak tasted like wet dog food. The cheese was so runny it was practically sauce. & it was $16.50. I got violently ill after eating a burger from here. Apparently I am not the only one who has become sick either. they are not storing the meat at proper temps or cleaning their hands properly. I'm surprised they are still operating under these condition, unless you want to be throwing your guts up I do not recommend! Great food! The loaded fries were along with the burgers. Need to come back and try the wings!

FANTASTIC experience -- just go!…read more The Lamb Fahsah was hearty and flavorful, served in a hot metal bowl with just the right proportions of shredded meat, veggies, and broth. Plus it came with FRESH pita bread HOT out of the oven -- slightly crisp outside, hot gooey inside. (Honestly, I think their pita texture and flavor surpassed a certain high-end Lebanese restaurant in Fishtown...) Decor is a tasteful modern pastiche of traditional middle eastern motifs. Overall vibe is relaxed, clean, and spacious. The only downside was having to pick just one thing from the menu, though staff were happy to help. One note: I think they're still getting off the ground, and I stood next to the "wait to be seated" sign for 5 minutes before getting frustrated and walking up to the bar guy. He was SUPER apologetic, as was my waiter, and they made it up to me with a free cup of chai tea -- plus a free refill at the end! On the chai tea: rich and fragrant spices, definitely spoiled me for the standard coffee shop version.

My recent first visit to Malooga was excellent. The service was admittedly unremarkable, but some…read moregrace should probably be extended there - it was a Sunday, the day after Valentine's Day, and it was packed. During my wife's and my time there, they never had an empty table that wasn't being quickly cleared for a waiting party, and we heard people assigned considerable waits when they tried to walk in. I give the benefit of the doubt that the hectic, holiday-adjacent nature of the day we went in contributed to us not receiving mugs for the tea pot we ordered or some of the longer waits between waitstaff visits. But the food and atmosphere? Through the roof. We were fortunate enough to have scored the coveted front window seating section, a luxuriously spacious and cushioned special seating option that only one party at a time can enjoy (all other seats are traditional chair-and-table arrangements), so we were especially high on the subject of atmosphere, but even had we not secured the ideal seating, I would have enjoyed the chill, evocative music coming from the restaurant's speakers. The food was the main event, of course, and it delivered. We started simple, with a hummus app. The humus was great and the flatbread really stood out - ideal density, great, light crispness to the outside, soft but at no risk of being too chewy or doughy on the inside. I ordered the salmon dish, which arrived in a big, black sizzling iron bowl. The salmon and tender little potato chunks were in a shakshuka-like red sauce and paired excellently with the plate of rice, fresh raisins, garlic slivers, and carrot bits that accompanied it. I honestly don't love raisins, but this was clearly a "have faith in the recipe" situation and I really enjoyed when they would assert themselves a bit against the sauce. My wife ordered a falafel salad platter, which she was kind enough to let me try; best falafel I've eaten in a good number of years, and she agreed (which means even more than my endorsement, since she falafel much more frequently than I do). I've eagerly recommended Malooga to friends and associates since and can't wait to get back and order some lamb!

There are a lot of Tex-Mex taco places all around Philly so what would make you want to try this…read moreone? Probably the sauces and salsas. The queso is very nice. The chipotle sauce is even better. It's got a tinge of spiciness. I like the fresh jalapenos that give even more kick. I got the Honey Chipotle Chiecken in my soft tacos. The flavor of the chicken was very good. The price of 3 tacos was not bad at $14.02. You might be wondering when I'll use the "excellent" or "great" superlatives, but I don't need to. If you want to compare this food to, say, Chipotle or Qdoba, you can, and some of you might think this is not much better than those two, but I will say that the additional ingredients that don't exist at Chipotle or Qdoba make this the superior product. The tacos are huge, just like some good Chipotle or Qdoba restaurants, but I think you'll like these better than the familiar places. There's a bit more zing in this food and, for that, it's worth the extra two or three dollars. The restaurant itself has chairs and tables. I can see myself eating there on occasion. The service is pretty quick and you can see all the ingredients, just like Chipotle and Qdoba. Drinks are the usual Jarritos and Mexican Coke. I will warn you when ordering that the tacos start at $9.99 and a protein (from fajita veggies to shrimp) is an additional charge of $1.99 to $3.99. You can have double protein for double the protein price (but a single serving is more than enough). Guacamole is an additional $1.25. It can get pretty pricey if you just say yes to everything. So, let me repeat... take note... if you just get fajita veggies, it's $1.99 more than the $9.99 base price. More fajita veggies? $1.99 more. Guac? $1.25 more. Now you're looking at $15.22 plus tax ($16.44) just for large veggie tacos. So... be careful when ordering!

The honey chipotle chicken is incredible, it is moist and flavorful, great addition to the menu. I got a bowl and was disappointed at the portions. My friend in front of me was being served by someone else. The person serving me had also skipped over some items like the fajitas. Although I opted out of cheese and sour cream, my bowl was half filled.
