I initially hired Gerber to tune-up all my existing pavers, add a new paver driveway, and add some new path lighting. Adding the new driveway was somewhat of a challenge as the adjacent paver sidewalks were initially constructed over 10 years ago. So, Gerber was able to find a great match to my existing pavers and masterfully piece the new driveway together in such a fashion where old and new appear seamless. Amazing!!! During the process, we learned that his team also offered landscaping. So as the hardscaping and lighting was coming to an end, his team met with us for a design consultation. Both Kathy and Katherine brought some great experience/knowledge to assess our current situation and offered wonderful ideas to the overall design. O Reilly Masonry, Arlington, Virginia…read more I am perplexed by the positive ratings given this person and his Company. I did not find his work completely satisfactory. See attached pictures. I hired O'Reilly Masonry to replace the mortar between bricks on my front porch since there were broken pieces and gaps. The brick and mortar work that he performed was generally OK with the exception of one side of the porch which looks sloppily done. See picture. My primary criticism involved the appearance of the concrete pad inlay of the porch which looks worse now than its appearance prior to his work. When I asked him about it's appearance, he said to paint the concrete. Imagine that response! See picture. Another point: One brick on the top step (the 9th brick from the edge) was chipped on its right edge. When I asked him about why that brick was chipped on its edge, he gave me a surly reply that he wasn't contracted to replace damaged brick. That was a True statement, however, he could have reset that same brick on the side bricking of the porch rather than setting it on the very front entrance so as to be visually unaesthetic. This is an indication of careless consideration to design quality. A small point: I would have expected this contractor to have cleaned the screen door glass covered with cement dust before he left. Overall, I am disappointed in the appearance of the final product, not what I expected, and would NOT recommend this person.

Our wall still looks great after a recent downpour.
