The house was new and immaculate with top notch furnishings in and outside. A huge immaculately kept outdoor space for our dog and for grilling , eating and relaxing. Best bang for buck . We always try to get a spot on the lake with its ducks and beautiful grounds. We were only going to stay one night on our way to Colorado, but we're exhausted after traveling for two days. So we opted to stay the second nite. On Saturdays they have coffee on the porch from 9-10 am. We enjoyed meeting other campers with their doggies and sat and talked while we sipped our coffee. They have added a beautiful pool and kiddie play area. Of course Freckles enjoys her romp in the gated dog park. There are doggie waste bags along the roads, so you can walk your dogs. Some sites have enclosed patios with grills, tables and all the sites have fire pits. It is just delightful to sit outside by the lake and if you like you can catch and release fish. We're looking forward to grilling outside and having a fire. Tomorrow we will be on our way but the memories will stay with us forever!

Cabin 14 at Little Black Creek apparently updated their beds and they were sooooooo comfortable! Some of the best sleep I've gotten while camping! Our cabin mates weren't able to come up with us due to work so they came up on Saturday morning. Early. They said the women in the office was rude to them and charged them to get in, even though they told her they paid for the cabin. They said she even shook her finger at them when they tried to tell her. Friday I went into the office and the ladies that I spoke with were very kind. Must've been two different people. The Halloween festivities were ok. The costume contest was super fun and our kiddos really enjoyed the bounce houses. We were super excited for the parade and I even called to make sure the parade passed in front of our cabins to which the lady in the office replied "yes it just started they will be passing in front the cabins in about 15 minutes." We waited and waited and waited. Finally another camper told us it was over and people were trick or treating. Bummer. Now we were over 40 minutes late trick or treating and it was getting dark. Towards the end of our trick or treating people were out of candy and it was pitch black. People in gold carts were zooming on the roads with loud music (and obvious drinking). Our first experience didn't deter us from booking next year. We still had a great time. We just know better for next year about the parade.

Paradise Ranch is the kind of campground that makes you never want to leave!…read more This was our first trip to Paradise Ranch and we wish we would've went much sooner! The park immerses you in the outdoors offering huge RV spots, plenty of entertainment, and beautiful grounds where you just never get tired of being outside. The park has about 100 beautiful red deer ranging from young calves to 14+ point stags just wandering around the park. It's common to see the deer walking through the campground amongst the campers looking for some food and companionship. Along with the deer, they also have many pot-belly pigs that roam around looking for a snack! Apart from the wildlife, the park has a beautiful lake stocked with fish just inviting people to walk around it's edge and enjoy it's natural beauty. We also enjoyed the nice, easily manageable, hiking trail through the woods. Even though we visited during the cooler months, we found that the summer activities seem to be abundant. Seeing the huge lagoon pool, the air jumping pillows, the water balloon battle station, the corn hole boards, and the horseshoe pits makes it very clear that we will have even more fun when we visit again next summer. Also, if you don't have a camper or someone in your family or friend group is not into RV'ing, the park offers many cabins and 4 very unique and large air conditioned glamping tents that can be rented allowing everyone to enjoy all the park has to offer. Last, but certainly not least, this park nestled quietly away in the Mississippi pines, hosts the best live musical entertainment found at any campground we've ever visited or even heard of. Their lineup (their 2023 lineup is now on their FB page) offers its guests the chance to enjoy music from all genres with artists ranging from Grammy Award winners to smaller well-known entertainers. Here are some highlights of the park: *Large sites with fire rings and picnic tables *Full hookups *Laundry rooms *Large, clean bath house *Cabins and glamping tents for rent *Ample entertainment options for all ages *Abundant wildlife roaming around the park *Golf cart rental *Kayak rental *Large well-stocked camp store *Large lagoon pool with water activities when in season *Camp Grill for ordering snacks while camping *Courteous staff *Great musical entertainment on weekends All in all, this is probably our most favorite park we've ever visited. Redneck Riviera. That's the best way to describe this place. The pool looks like it was made with…read morequikrete. Large areas of concrete are broken up in the water. There are anchor bolts sticking out of the walls and bottom of the pool. Three of our five person group cut their feet on the broken rough patches of concrete. There is a dirt line all the way around the inside. Its gross. The camping spots are all gravel. It's rained two afternoons and our sites were flooded. The power went out two of three days but was restored quickly. There are kids (like young kids) and adults drinking and driving golf carts and side by sides FAST and irresponsibly. Someone is going to get hurt. Rules are not enforced so there are people riding and playing loud music at all hours of the night. Don't expect to get anywhere in a vehicle. People park in the roads wherever they want with campers, trucks, trailers, golf carts, etc. There is NOTHING to do nearby. The closest grocery store is 20 min away. The only positive of our stay was the Fourth of July fireworks show. It lasted 25 minutes. I bumped up one star for that. We will not be back here.
