They are growing with organic practices and are being certified currently. We were a part of the 2009 season which was their first as a CSA, and we were very impressed. The variety of produce we received was beyond our expectation. We got to try a lot of things we hadn't tried and some things we hadn't ever heard of before! Very educational. For their first year operating as a CSA, they really ran everything smoothly. The 2010 season and beyond is looking really exciting too with a lot of upgrades to information available on the website about the produce, etc., and even more variety in the produce from what I hear. From the comparisons we did, the pricing is a much better deal for what you get than with some other local CSA programs. We very highly recommend The Farm of Minnesota.

We started with Loon Organics in June 2009. We received a monthly box of fresh organic vegetables every month through October. It was excellent and I would recommend highly. Over the years we have developed a number of vendors that we patronize such as the cucumber lady, the asparagus man, the egg guy, and many others selling vegetables and other products that you just can't find at the supermarket However, this year of the pandemic (2020), we decided that it wasn't worth the risk to go to the market in person. We eat a lot of vegetables and didn't want to give up local produce so we decided to participate in Community Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) program. One of the vendors we patronized at the Market was Untiedt based in Waverly. They are one of the largest vendors selling mostly local products at the Market and we particularly liked their grape tomatoes and sugar cube melons. Since they are large they have an extensive network in the metro area for distribution of their weekly shares. We get ours at Wagners on Penn Avenue in Southwest Minneapolis. There is the added bonus of a small Untiedt vegetable stand in the parking lot which we use to supplement our CSA box. So far we have been very happy with our experience. Every week we get a nice variety of fresh veggies. Since there are only two of us at home now we debated about whether to get the family size or smaller sized box. We went with the family sized and are glad we did. However we do eat a lot of vegetables. Quality has always been high. It would be nice if you could customize your order each week but I understand that the logistics would be unmanageable. We miss going to the Farmer's market in person but the CSA box is a nice option to have.

This is now open (it's seasonal)…read more Nothing like the bright white lights of Norm's as you make your way down Hwy 25 to Hwy 10 going home to the cities. For those of you stuck on 10 (or 371) you are missing out on a gem. Norm's has been selling fresh produce for years and have never disappointed. Sure things change as they ripen, but oh is it fresh. Keep the veggies coming.

This location has nice wide aisles, and pretty well stocked…read more For those that are on the shorter side however shelves are set up fairly high - I had to grab a few items for my mother (5 ft 2) certain thing she never even noticed in the open fridge section due to high up they were and you then had to dig around to find the item because even I couldn't see the item physically. I thought aldi locations stopped "aggressively throwing" items in the cart! That was not the case here- if I wouldn't have grabbed our tomato it would have been squashed. I'm also surprised our glass jar food items didn't break as they bounced around the metal cart. Now it could have just been that specific cashier- my mother even commented on how stuff was being thrown and it still continued. The limited edition aisle looks like it was just stocked! I really don't know why you wouldn't shop there. You'll need a quarter to use a shopping cart and the quarter is returned to you, when you return the cart to the cart corral like a good citizen.
