The coffee table and end table we were interested in, he said they could have it delivered in 6-8 weeks. We asked about purchasing the showroom tables to get a faster delivery and, upon further inspection, the manager said the end table, "has a scratch, but it looks okay." My husband told me that the drawer of the end table did not pull out very well either. Strike one, considering the astronomical price of the table. Strike two: the coffee table's price tag was literally glued onto the top of the table, so peeling it off would also take some of the paint off. Strike three: when we asked about the rug, which was $700, availability, the manager also gave us a long delivery time. The showroom rug had definitely seen better days and my husband said the bottom of the rug was torn up. They were only going to give us 5% off if we were to have purchased it. I'm sorry, but that's trash. If a rug looks that bad, you should be taking more than 5% off. When we told the manager we would think about it and come back, he got testy and said, "If you go anywhere else, they will have to order it, too." I'm not trying to sound defensive, but we are not stupid and do know this. We ended up going to Nebraska Furniture Mart and not only found a similar-looking coffee table and end table, but also a rug that is the same brand as the one we were interested in here, but a lot less, price-wise. Additionally, we found an accent chair. The staff was a lot friendlier, too. The cherry on top of the sundae? The furniture will all be delivered within a week! To the manager of Furniture Mall of Missouri: I know it's disappointing when a customer tells you or any of your other employees no; however, the attitude you had towards us is inexcusable. Another time we came to FMM, we were helped by a lady who, although she also did not take no for an answer and was pushy about selling, did not talk down to us like you did.

During the purchase, I asked the saleslady to hold my items for a week and wrap them in plastic for me so that when I returned for pick-up, I wouldn't have to worry about scratching them. The lady didn't seem very involved in her aim to be appeasing and thought that her response, "Sure" was just off-putting. Upon my return, the items were not wrapped. I wasn't surprised; however, the four people who brought the items out for me to put into my car quickly wrapped the furniture in plastic.

Our sales associate Zach was extremely helpful with no high pressure sales. We did continue to look around at a few more places but as he told us, Mattress Firm DID have the best quality & price. He was extremely helpful & I didn't have to come back in to buy what we'd looked at. He also saved me from making the mistake of getting the free adjustable base~we already have the furniture & that base wouldn't work with what we had. He gave us a great deal on another (nicer) base that we did pay for but it could've been a mess to deal with. (I work in healthcare & can't take time off easily) He sent me a link & the purchase was complete & correct! The delivery was free & the delivery guys were also AWESOME! I didn't catch their names but they were so cautious of where they put the items on our hard wood floors & I couldn't be happier with the whole experience! GREAT JOB MATTRESS FIRM! That being said, Mattress Man could use some tweaks. The good: MM has good quality products. They aren't the flashy name brands, but you don't need those for comfortable sleep. You can find the latest technologies, albeit in a limited selection. The prices are also fairly low compared to big name brands. The not so good: This store is crammed. There were about 10 beds in three rows, and you had to enter and exit one from the foot unless it was on the row's end by the door. Delivery is free only for the first five miles, and then it's $2/mile after that. You'd think with their no-haggle pricing they would at least give you free delivery to a much larger area. I have some constructive criticism for Amy (co-owner). Please don't take this personally, but you need to develop more sales skills. Get to know your customer and their needs. Tailor their needs to your products. Furthermore, reading a mattress' description label verbatim doesn't sell me on it. Rather, if it has a certain feature (i.e. graphite infused foam), tell me why it's better than not having it. Don't say your beds are "good" either. I already know you believe that, but I want to be sold on why they're good. I highly recommend you buy a copy of Grant Cardone's book "The Closer's Survival Guide", because it will make you much more proficient at closing. This is especially vital given your store's out of the way location where traffic isn't optimal.
