This review is not about the Sleep Number store or the bed itself but rather about their relationship with Synchrony Credit Cards. This is our 2nd Sleep number bed and we love it more than we did the first one we purchased years and years ago. However, this may be your last as the experience I had now twice with Synchrony is the absolute worst. With our first bed we were charged a late fee for a payment due to a misunderstanding on the 0% interested rates. I was upset at their handling and the fact that customer service is almost non existent that I paid the bed in full. Fast forward to February 2026... we wanted one of the more expensive warm/cooling beds. I was prepared to pay the full amount but was convinced that I should just set up monthly auto payments. That made a lot of sense so as soon as my new Synchrony credit card arrive I set it up for auto payments. Funny tho as I continued to receive emails from Synchrony that I hadn't set up auto pay. This got my attention so I went on line and saw I was indeed set up so I felt I was good. I continued to receive these emails so I called Synchrony customer service and sat on hold for 32 minutes before a person with a thick Indian accent answered. When I explained my concern he told me he could see I was set up for auto pay and they send those emails to everyone. That's just crazy! First month of auto pay worked like a gem...This morning I awoke to find my checking account and other related accounts were empty because Synchrony took the full balance as the auto pay. I was absolutely crazed and frantic!!! I sat on hold for 44 minutes and 39 seconds before yet another person with a heavy Indian accent answered and when I told her what had occurred she offered to send me back the money. That's just crazy! I told her to cancel the CC as the bed was now fully paid off and Synchrony had already caused me penalties from 3 difference banking/financial accounts. My purpose in writing this is to let people know that Sleep Numbers 0% interest promotion may be more painful than you expect. Sleep number's relationship with synchrony is lousy to say the least and in my opinion does not bode well at all for Sleep Number and its awesome products since this is the 2nd incident with that relationship that has caused me tremendous grief and distrust of of their CC relationship. read more

To start with, I would say that the product itself is very good. The issue comes with customer service which is horrible. I bought a sleep number mattress in November of 2023 without a base. They came a month later to deliver and set up the mattress. They do not allow you to choose what time they will arrive and do not let you know when your 3 hour window is until 2 days before arrival. This barely gives you enough time to arrange your schedule for them. Additionally, there customer service is back east and only available during their business hours. Which means if you live on the west coast and actually have a job, it is very difficult to contact them and talk with someone. Clearly, they do not value their west coast customers. This year in November, I went back to the store and ordered a flexible base for my mattress. Again, over a month until delivery, this time it was on a day I wasn't working, so the time frame was not difficult to adjust to. However, when they delivered it, it did not function properly. The people that delivered it were supposed to contact customer services and let them know the issue, order the part and then contact me the next day to reschedule the delivery and repair. No one called me the next day, so I had to leave work early the next day so that I could call customer service myself. I scheduled and new appointment, this time on a day that I was working. I asked them to schedule it in the afternoon, so that I didn't have to take time off work. They said they would put that into the order. 2 days before my delivery, I received and text message saying my delivery window was between 7:00 am and 10:00 am. Not what I had asked for. I ended up having to take a day off work. When the people came to work on my bed. They did not know why they were there. they thought I had an entire bed and frame that had been delivered but not set up. So, once again, it did not work because they did not have the part with them to fix my bed. I had to reschedule again. Once again it was a day that I had to work and I requested again that it be in the afternoon so that I didn't have to take another day off work for what was there mistake. Once again, 2 days before I received a text telling me that the arrival window is between 7:00 am and 10:00 am. I called customer service on my way to work the next day. They told me they had no way of contacting the delivery/set-up people to change the time, only to change the date, which of course would be at least 2 weeks later with no guarantee of when the time frame for them showing up would be. And of course no offer to make it up to me financially or any other way.This is now nearly 3 months since I bought the flexible frame and it is still not working. This is easily the worst customer service I have ever been involved with. If you have a choice to buy from from someone else, I suggest that you do. read more

If there was a below zero rating I would choose this one. My husband & I purchased a bed from Ten in April and she was super kind at the time of the sale. Unfortunately the bed didn't work out for us so we called to have it returned only to be advised the base was a final sale. We were NEVER told of this otherwise we would've reconsidered because the price of that is almost $4,000. Since then when I looked on their website it is noted but we should've been told this up front. When I called her to talk about it she was extremely rude and HUNG UP on me. Do yourself a favor & purchase your bed somewhere else. Complete unacceptable service. read more

The beds are a little pricey but I did almost fall asleep during the mattress demo that the gentleman gave me. They'll do an analysis that shows you wear your body presses against the mattress which is really interesting to see. Once they find out where you've got pressure they will set your sleep number which will adjust the bed to your body. I'm not going to lie...it almost put me to sleep. They've got the basic option all the way up to the Cadillac of the show room. The customer service is good and you get to try out any of the beds you may be interested in. At the time of my visit they had financing and while I didn't end up getting the mattress due to the price I think if you've got the budget it's worth checking out. Update: still waiting for Sleep Number to refund my friend. Have made a complaint to the BBB and so far they hide behind the signature on what they called a receipt that is actually a contract stating the customer agrees to all the conditions that the sale people don't say anything about. Including that adjustable bases are final sale/no returns. Very deceptive. Sneaky is another adjective that they have earned. read more

She was wonderful, she was so knowledgeable about all the beds, answered all our questions and most of all her personality was a ten+. About 2 weeks ago my wife and I went to the Sleep Number store on Camino Arroyo in Gilroy. We were assisted by Isabel. Isabel was a great help. She was courteous and didn't try to pressure us for one type of bed over another. Isabel was able to answer and questions we had in regards to differences between each bed. The whole experience at the store was much more than we could have expected. We've had our bed for about a week now and love it. To top things off, Isabel let us know there was a possibility that the bed we bought might go on sale with 4th of July coming up. She made sure we knew that Sleep Number had a price guarantee so if it did go on sale we could call customer support and have the price adjusted. Just like she said, the bed did go on sale. I called customer support and within 10 minutes (that's including time spent waiting for rep, which was next to nothing) we had everything taken care of and the price was adjusted. UPDATE: Joan apparently transferred to the Oakridge store. Find her there! I've had Sleep Number (aka Select Comfort) beds since about 2003. I bought my first bed at the old Hillsdale Mall, and then another at the Great Mall (both branches have since closed). This brand new Gilroy store is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and well-staffed place by knowledgeable people who really know their beds! Marcel is an excellent, experienced manager (he transferred from the Oakridge Mall, check his reviews on the store there for specifics). Joan is my favorite salesperson who I highly recommend; she is very good with people, pleasant to talk to, and never made me feel pressured to buy. She obviously believes highly in what she sells. I bought a couple of very nice, unique pillows from her this past weekend...a new "curve support" design that curves around your neck and is very nice in that it doesn't bunch up. I plan on buying an iLE "limited edition" bed from her very soon to replace the old Select Comfort 7000 model. As for the beds themselves, they are extremely comfortable, adjust to your body, and perhaps best of all, light enough that you can lift a king-size mattress with one hand very easily when you need to change your sheets. They are also quite easy to assemble or take apart if you need to move, although they will have someone put it together for you when you first buy one, in addition to taking your old bed away if you need them to. My Husband and I came here about a year ago to look at getting a new bed and we didn't follow through with a purchase. We were undecided for an entire year! We came back yesterday to revisit and see if the Sleep Number option would still be our best option as our family is growing... (not to mention the President's Day Sale) TEN is the best sales rep ever! (Yes, that's her name!) she's so outgoing, relatable, funny and so knowledgeable in every Sleep Number product available. There was absolutely no pressure from her. She understood all of our needs and understood that we wanted to go home to discuss the investment details. Ten said she worked until 5pm the next day and said if we had any questions to just call her. So, today (President's Day) my husband calls at 5pm and Ten said she would wait for us to get to the store to help us with the final purchase! Talk about superb customer service! We purchased the P5 and will be delivered and set up in our home next week. Thank you Ten for making our experience better than amazing! My fiance and I were in the Gilroy location on Sunday of last week. We have not yet received our mattress, but I wanted to review the great service we received. We were met by the Salesperson named Ten and she explained the method that would be best to find the right model for us. Which led us to a bed that had a computer attached to show us the pressure points and locate "our numbers" of comfort. Once we had that we were taken to several other mattresses to check for desired comfort. Our number one concern was for reducing movement. After a few trips around we located the mattress that seems the best for us...no pressure ever to go with the most expensive, or any "special" deals, just our personal comfort., I could not have been more happy with the approach and help we received from Ten.
