Home is well furnished: community bathroom, community kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and dining room (red room) for breakfast. Very clean and full of color. She cooks a pretty good "eggs in a basket" dish that's a scramble of eggs, asparagus, almonds, cranberries, and chicken/asiago cheese sausages. Croissant (so good!), coffee, tea, and orange juice is also available. She's very accommodating so don't be afraid to ask. The only issues we came across were the extra soft beds and fleece sheets that may be uncomfortable for some. Room's aren't too spacious but enough to house two people comfortably (but who stays in on a vacation?). She does have cats but they stay in her room and may roam in the breakfast area. I'm allergic to cats but they were not a problem for me at all. Please do keep the library bed and breakfast in mind the next time you come to Ann Arbor as her price is comparable and she'll make your experience a pleasurable memory!

We parked on the street and walked up the curving steps to warmly greeted by a wonderful lady decked out in full Maize and Blue. This was just the beginning, as we entered which could best described as a bibliophile paradise crossed with a museum to all things Ann Arbor/ U of M. Climbing the steps, you first encounter the Poetry and Mystery Rooms, followed by a full Pullman kitchen and sitting area. If your into Ann Arbor's past, you'll find two great hanging lights from the old Pretzel Bell Restaurant, surrounded by books of all types. Last is the Tiny Book Room, which is filled with - you guessed it - tiny books. We had a great dinner later than night at Melting Pot (review forthcoming) and went to bed early and slept great. We woke up the next morning to amazing smells coming from downstairs, where we and another couple were greeted to fresh coffee, OJ, homemade pumpkin bread and pumpkin butter! This was followed by a fruit course and an amazing quiche. Mixed with a wonderful conversation, we felt like we were totally at home. Even the three cats, Kipling, Cinnamon and, well, I forget the third, treated us well. We then spent the next hour talking about everything books - we just didn't want to leave! It's called Beauty Rest's Harmony Plush, by the way. Third, the complimentary breakfast was amazing. They offer the usual that comes with a well-balanced meal. My favorite was the Michigan-branded waffle, which reminded me of the honor of being invited for the official visit. Overall, I highly recommend Hilton's Homewood Suites for those wanting to be near the campus. They are exceptional when it comes to service, bed, and everything else. Because of my stay, I will consider Hilton hotels moving forward.

We were kindly seated even though our reservation did not appear on Terrance Room computer system. We were told that the system was not downloading the information. The waitress was very pleasant and attended to us very promptly. The food array was great with many options including an omelet station. There was a sign by the buffet stating $25.00 a plate. The shock came when we received the bill with a total of $348.00 broken down with these prices: * 4 Easter Brunch 256.00 (64.00/per person) * Brunch Bloody Mary $10.00 * Brunch Mimosa $10.00 * SERVICE CHARGE $52.44 * Tax $19.71. * TOTAL 348.15 Stunned we contacted the waitress, who then asked the manager to talk to us. We explained the situation regarding the posted sign on the buffet table at $25.00 per meal and we were not aware of the Easter Brunch cost of $64.00. After some discussion he was willing to give us a 20% discount. Not being satisfied, we asked to talk to his manager whom he called and returned stating that the F & B manager (Jordan Hoffman) increased the percentage off to 30%, so the total bill was $260.00. Listed below are some of the reasons why the price that was posted was not honored according to the day manager. 1.) The sign was a mistakenly positioned. Someone forgot to remove it. 2.) We should have received an email for the confirmation with the intended price of the meal. BUT........................ a. We did not get the email until we finished our brunch. b. After reading the email, the price was not included in the narrative of the notification. 3.) The price is on the website of the Marriot at Eagle Crest BUT............................ a. Stopping at the restaurant was a "off the cuff" decision. The price of the brunch was not easily visible. b. No indication of the price near the hostess station. c. No idea that the venue would add a service charge! I am very disappointed and feel "ripped off." The experience put a damper on the Easter morning with family. I would not recommend this venue at all................... Very rigid with a lack of empathy!

The rest of the hotel, not so much. As soon as you walk into the elevators you step back in time. The hallway carpets are worn and ripped. The room had a few updates but again, it was worn. My drain didn't have a stopper. The lounger chair had weird spots on it. The security latch on my door was broken off. Low quality shampoo and body wash were provided, something you'd find in a Courtyard or Fairfield. Overall the experience was underwhelming for a Marriott. Self-Parking was $30 a night in a parking lot that was right in front of the building. That's a bit expensive in my opinion.

For a price tag of over five hundred dollars, the Grand Royal Pool Suite gave us every amenity I could've imagined; soaking tub, two person shower, plush robes, electric fire place, soft king bed, sauna and what we really drove all that way there for, our own personal, private swimming pool. During our stay at Belamere Suites we found indulgence, comfort and, as advertised, limitless romance.

The hotel is tucked away in the middle of an industrial park surrounded by semi trucks, which immediately ruined any romantic atmosphere we were hoping for. To make things even stranger, there were pieces of childlike artwork oddly placed on the outside of the buildings--nothing about it felt romantic or inviting. Inside the room, things didn't improve much. While it was clean, the rose petals placed on the bed were fake, which felt cheap and undermined the "luxury" experience they advertise. The fireplace clicked nonstop whenever we tried to use it, making it impossible to relax. The worst part of the stay was the noise. Our neighbor spent the entire evening screaming at a football game. I called the front desk to complain about the noise, and the only solution they offered was to "drive the golf cart around." The yelling stopped for about 30 minutes and then started right back up. At that point, any romantic vibe I was trying to create for our anniversary was completely gone. We were so aggravated--especially considering the extravagant price tag--that it was clear we weren't going to sleep or enjoy ourselves. We ultimately decided to leave at midnight and just go home. When I called to request some sort of reimbursement, I was offered 50% off a future stay. I honestly found that laughable--I wouldn't return even at $100 a night. This was a memorable anniversary for all the wrong reasons, and I cannot recommend Belamere Suites based on our experience.
