DO NOT BUY FROM SLEEP COUNTRY - IT'S A RIP-OFF! I purchased an extremely expensive pillow from Sleep Country after being assured by the salesperson that it was "top of the line" and would help resolve my ongoing neck issues. I was even given a five-year guarantee -- which I later discovered only applies if the pillow physically falls apart. In other words, unless the pillow disintegrates in your hands, you're out of luck. What they never disclosed during the sale -- and what I only found out after trying to return it -- is that ALL SALES ARE FINAL the moment you walk out of the store. I was stunned when I tried to return it and was told, verbatim: "The minute the customer walks out the door, they own it fully. We do not accept any returns." They attempted to justify this by claiming "Ministry of Health Guidelines" prohibit them from accepting returns -- a total fabrication. There are no posted warnings, no official Ministry labels, and no disclosure at the point of sale. Just a blanket "not our problem" attitude once they have your money. This is a classic bait-and-switch. You're sold a dream with misleading promises, only to discover their fine print protects them, not you. There is zero accountability, zero customer service, and zero transparency. BUYER BEWARE: If you're shopping at Sleep Country, don't believe a word their salespeople say unless it's in writing. I had a good experience at this store. I was going to order online but instead thought I'd ask a few questions before making the purchase. I received good and knowledgeable responses and advice, and elected to make the order through the store rather than online. It was an easy process. (I ultimately picked up the mattress instead of opting for free delivery since delivery was booking out farther than we would have liked.) The actual mattress we chose - The Bloom Cloud - is super comfy and we are pleased with the quality. The mattress comes compressed in the box and you can easily set it up on your own. It is also feels really light once open, which makes moving it around and making the bed easy. I would shop here again and would recommend this store. read more

Visited this store a few days ago, Anjum the store associate was fantastically rude. We could feel his disdain upon entry. We were ignored once we said we were not buying today but information gathering, even asking if could help us( aka do his job!). Another couple came in who were white received far better service and his full attention. As people of color in this day and age you don't want to think that's the reason but this is unacceptable, and we will be taking this further. read more

Everything was fine until the delivery. I waited at home for 12 hours and it didn't show up. I've already thrown out my old mattress so I have nothing to sleep on it's like 3:30 in the morning. I had provided my buzzer information so that they could buzz when they got here but they decided to call instead and my phone does not accept calls from unknown numbers/callers so they just moved without attempting to on buzz or even asking security or the management office to acccept my mattress. When I called the office to complain and get my mattress delivered, I informed them that somebody had been texting me, and no less than 3 or 4 times the person on the phone who had somewhat of an American accent told me that I'm incorrect, I don't know what I'm talking about because Sleep Country Canada doesn't text its customers. Well you can see by the pictures I have attached that of course it did happen. I reaaaaaally wish I had read all the stories and reviews on Reddit and Redflagdeals before I bought a bed here... It would've saved me a lot of money and trouble! My Ikea mattress was getting pretty saggy so I figured it was time to do the adult thing and get a proper bed (big mistake, changing my Ikea mattress would've been just fine). I bought a bed with a mattress on sale. You get three months to try it out and within those three months, you can exchange it for a different mattress for a $50 fee. Except you also have to pay for the price difference between the mattresses, which I wasn't told about, and if I had, it would've had an influence on the time I took to pick a mattress because the price difference between a mattress during a sale and regular price is a few hundred dollars that I didn't want to spend. So I picked one thinking I was safe since I could exchange it. It turned out to be a bit too firm for me so I went and exchanged it for a softer one. I had to pay $400 and my so-called great deal on a bed quickly became a not so great deal. And when I received the mattress, it was way softer than the one in the store, even though I went and tried it to make sure it worked better for me. Not sure how you can pick a mattress and get one that's softer than the one that everyone tries out in the store. I thought they may have made a mistake but it was the right model. Arguing with them was pointless since after one exchange, you simply can't exchange your mattress. I'd personally advise you to BUY A MATTRESS ANYWHERE ELSE. read more
