For $70, the quality and firmness is very good. The mattress is even flip-able, a feature that is not common nowadays, and can extend the useful life of the mattress. The second reason for the 5 stars rating is the selection. There are 3 models of twin mattress in the showroom. All of them are within my budget of $200. The nicest one costs $200, and it looks like something that would cost more somewhere else. I went to another mattress stores before I came to Springmade. There was only one mattress on sale under $200. One note to people interested in buying a mattress at Springmade: all the prices are HST inclusive, and you can pay by major credit cards. My spouse and I gave it a try after coming across recommendations on various forums, then confirming on the manufacturers' websites that they are an authorized dealer for the brands they sell. This is not the kind of mattress store that has locations in every neighbourhood or advertises on every TV show. Besides the store being out of our way, it's sparsely decorated with narrow aisles (which was actually a bit of a challenge with our toddler's stroller). Any mattress that's available to try is wrapped in plastic. If you need help, you may need to wait for a salesperson to be available. And while delivery to your front door is free, room delivery and/or haul-away are extra charges. Some people may not be happy with that style of service, which I understand entirely! But there are lots of options to try, prices are very good without having to wait for a "sale", and the salespeople are knowledgeable and don't work on commission. There's also no need to haggle - though extra coupons are often available through their email list. So why we cancelled? The exact same type of Sealy mattress we ordered went on sale for about a hundred dollars less the next day through a certain membership warehouse. National Mattress said they would honour their price match policy even though it was a different model name, which we appreciated, but could not match some of the other benefits of buying through the warehouse. Getting a refund required a return trip to the store but was otherwise hassle-free. Still, we are very happy to recommend National Mattress to anyone looking for a mattress in a lower-pressure environment where you don't have to negotiate for hours to get a good value.

They're a warehouse more than a showroom but they have every mattress on display for you to try out. This means that it's not a pretty space but it keeps the prices down. When we walked in, it was a bit overwhelming. The salespeople weren't pushy at all, which made it a very comfortable shopping experience. We had some questions which Suraj was great at answering. He guided us through the differences between mattress firmness, coils versus foam, what a Euro top was, etc. He was super knowledgeable and it helped me decide what would make the most sense for my sleep habits. They carry good brands like Sealy and Serta mattresses in all sizes and at different quality levels as well. Each of the mattresses on display shows how much the big stores charge vs what they charge. It's really a stellar deal. The delivery was very smooth as well. There are different delivery charges for how far you want your mattress delivered, for example, delivered to your front door, into the room you want, and drop up and pick up of old mattress. They provide live online tracking and the driver will also give you a call as they're getting close. Really happy with my purchase!
