The unit was clearly in unusable condition, that was not at all the unit that was shown on the picture. I sent pictures of the unit to show that it was broken. I was asked to send the unit back to get the refund. Once unit was sent back, I received an email detailing a completely different unit, and refusing to refund the broken unit. This place is SCAM, do not order from this place !!! unless you want to loose your money. Not only do they send you junk, they have you pay for the return of the broken unit and then refuse to refund you !!!

Ahmed gave me a price to do the chairs that was very competitive. He has fabric, or you can bring your own. He doesn't have a ton of fabric to choose from but his selection was absolutely fine for our purposes. He finished the chairs within a week. They look great and are very comfortable to sit on. He did exactly what we wanted. I'd definitely go to JL Upholstery again.

Had nowhere to sit for two months after moving to new house (didn't own any furniture). Expressed my concerns but the store manager simply didn't care. Told me that the two month delay was normal and that the sales person should have told us about this beforehand. I would have ordered my furniture two months earlier if this delay was known. I visited the store in August 2020 and was told it would be a good time to order in October to get delivery on time for early February. Feel very mislead. Would not recommend to anyone.

The store was in complete disarray, grouping pulled apart, mirrors on top of sofas and beds, stacks of product sitting on top of cabinets, a total mess. As I was leaving, I couldn't help but notice 2 more staff members joined the one behind the counter that was on her phone earlier and the 3 of them began to engage in personal conversations and NO ONE was being served in the store. I will not be returning.

Union Lighting is known to have the most lighting selection in all of Toronto. We came here to get…read moreinspiration and to check out some lighting IRL instead of just me imagining through Pinterest. We wanted some statement lights over our dining table and kitchen counters. I don't understand why there are such low ratings here. I'm sure many people here are just browsing, and I rather have a sales rep give us the space and only come to us if we need help and seriously find a piece we're considering. So I have no issues with how no one really came up to us. There's a lot of lighting, but personally, not enough contemporary/modern lighting to our liking. We did take some pictures of the few we liked that are more contemporary-inspired. However, we don't love it enough to pull the trigger. The prices for the lighting are very high for the ones we looked at, about $1500 (for that round chandelier) to $5600 (Criss Cross silver lighting). We liked the look of the round chandelier the most. To our surprise, our neighbour has the same one. So loses that unique appeal. Also don't know how we would change the light if it burns out? Lighting is all personal preference. This trip nothing really screamed "this is the one" for us. If you're into other design themes like traditional, industrial, mid-century modern etc, you may find there is more to your liking than the modern/contemporary styles here. I still recommend to check it out though for yourself if you're in the market for lighting.

Our latest TV, a $2,200 55" Samsung Frame TV was purchased from 2001 AV in June 2021. The TV was the same price at Best Buy, however 2001 AV included an extra year of warranty (2 years total). In December 2022, we noticed a dead pixel on the screen of our Frame TV. We emailed pictures to head office and were told to expect a call. When head office called us, they said our TV wasn't under warranty, as we'd unsubscribed from an email newsletter, nullifying our extended warranty coverage(!). This is a shock to us - we were never told that we would have to subscribe to marketing blasts in order to keep our warranty coverage (obviously we would have). Attached is a picture of our receipt, showing the 1 bonus year of warranty coverage - nowhere on the receipt does it say that in order to use the extended warranty we must subscribe to a newsletter. To say we're disappointed in 2001 AV for not honouring our extended warranty is an understatement. Spent time on the phone with a rep who was no help at all and did nothing to help us.
