This new one is making a world of difference. The guys who delivered did a great job as well...very professional and friendly. We highly recommend Mattress Firm Clearance Center in Grapevine!

Showed me the lay-out, explained how they color code inventory in the store from soft to firm and then gave me the run down on prices and pointed me in the direction of sale items. I never once felt he was pressuring me to buy the more expensive items and he was super nice and informative. Ended up purchasing a Serra Queen, plush pillow top mattress with box spring, frame, rail or whatever for $700 which was a great deal because although he told me it usually sold for a little over $1300 I wanted to check to be sure. Looked online and found comparable for more than that price. I even slept on the bed the first night to test it and it was the best nights sleep. I'm tempted to return to purchase this in a King for my bedroom. Pleasant experience and I was able to leave the store same day with my mattress. I'd definitely check them out if you're in the market.

They buy furniture from overstock or company liquidations or closeouts and pass along the deals. I have my a table, two tv stands, sectional couch, three end tables, coffee table, bed set, armoire, four rugs, three lamps and a Tempurpedic from the Dump and I'm proud of all of it and have never found a better deal anywhere else! Amy is my girl. She takes the best care of me and knows me very well. If you seek Amy, you'll find yourself in good hands. The plant store next door and Texas Roadhouse in the same parking lot are huge bonuses too!

Me sitting on my recliner in the evenings. There is no excuse for this terrible workmanship. Because I tried to fix the first leg that broke they have voided my warranty. So just be aware - The Dump will not take care of you when your furniture falls apart. Also, Customer Service will ignore you and not call you back until you start making calls to corporate. Corporate will not help you either. I am on a fixed income and 66 years old. I spent my good hard earned money to buy all this new furniture to hopefully last me from here on out. I cannot say enough about how bad this company is. WORST BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!

Buying a mattress can be a hassle. Often times the employess are smarmy and overagressive in…read moremaking a sale and it's awkward laying in bed after bed while some guy lurches over you trying to upsell you. But not at this Mattress Firm! I mean, our salesman (who actually doesn't usually work at this store) had some of his salesman jargon and smooth mooves but all in all, I would almost say buying a mattress here was fun! The "fun" was getting to try out the SLEEP TO LIVE system, which sounds so so dramatic. But all it is this kinda freaky space age diagnostic bed thing you lay on that measures how firm a mattress should be. I thought it was pretty cool, I don't know if it really saved us that much time but it is a fun gimmick. I was able to weasle myself some meager savings with the bed frame and delivery but they made damn sure I would spend in the higher end of my price range. Also, I wouldn't suggest writing a check here as it was a fiasco, he had to actually call it in which took forever, maybe they'll have it fixed soon.) One of his salesman tricks was to choose three beds in our prices range -one very nice, one nice, and one okay but cheap. Of course, you lay on the other two first and the cheap one isn't even on display, it's a twin they just pull off the wall to have you try. After all that, it's hard to settle for the cheapo one, even if it would save a couple hundred bucks. But as Omar from The Wire would say, it's all in the game. Whether your game is drug dealing or mattress selling, people trying to make money off of you and I can't really fault them as long as they aren't all up in my face.

Mattress stores aren't particularly exciting, but we had a great visit (and buying experience, but…read moreI'll get to that later). Basically, it all came down to Jeff, who was our Sleep Expert according to the title on his business card. This particular store is a better one to visit than most because it has a lot of the clearance items from other stores in-house in addition to all of the normal (read: new) items that you'd see in all the other stores. Rather than look at any of that, or even talk prices, my experience began with a lay-fest to get a feel for the different types of "firm" (my term, my request) mattresses they had. For the self-service folk, Mattress Firm has colored body pillows across the top of each bed. Red are on the softest beds, usually "pillowtop" or "cushion firm" mattress styles. Then, oange cushions lay across the tops of the medium-firmness beds, while yellow cushions mark the firmest third of their beds. We tried out nearly all of the yellow-pillow beds (not in order, but as a guided tour by Jeff) along with about half of the memory foam and all of the "hybrid" beds. Hybrids are basically traditional mattresses crossed with Tempur-Pedic... they're a completely different feel from both and will be experienced differently by everybody :: think of it like when the Simpsons intro is done by a Guest Animator. Back to the story; while we were trying all these mattresses, Jeff gave a brief explanation, expanding on it when asked, and waited either standing or sitting two about beds down while we experienced the different feels. This distance was a very important detail for me -- he stayed involved but did not crowd. Points. Ours was a rather long visit, but he showed no impatience, possibly something from his time serving in the Marine Corps. Once we had decided on 2-3 "finalists" (in terms of style, not specific model), Sleep Expert Jeff opened the conversation to different levels (quality and price points) under each, giving very relatable examples (e.g., fully-loaded Avalon compared to base-model Lexus; I drove up in a Lexus, btw). He also told us about all of the different options in terms of working the store's various promotions to our benefit. Needless to say, we were well taken care of, and things ended with a purchase that was very much win-win. This brings me to my last point, MESSAGE ME if you're going to go so I can get you a card he gave me which will give you a nice discount (and hopefully get me something if you spend enough, haha).
