    Slay Events (Lily) was the absolute BEST wedding planner we could have ever dreamed of. From our very first interaction, we knew we couldn't have made a better choice. Her communication style is professional, prompt, and personalized - we always felt as though we were her top priority (and that she enjoyed having us in that position). The quality of her work is simply unmatched. Lily is knowledgable, adaptable, innovative, elite, thorough, and has a beautifully thoughtful approach to every detail. Every aspect of our wedding day felt elegant, effortless and enjoyable. I could go on for days about how incredible Lily is. She quickly became a very close friend that we love having in our lives post wedding day. She is an incredible listener and curator. Lily took care of us and our wedding as if it were her own, ensuring the flow and schedule of what can be an insanely hectic day was executed flawlessly. She is undoubtedly a star on the rise and we can't wait to see how she will continue to grow and expand her business. The respect and admiration we have for her is unmatched!

    Slay Events was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Lily was warm, attentive, friendly, and responsive to all questions we had. Her communication was top-notch, and she was extremely detail-oriented, ensuring that everything came together seamlessly for our special day. Her planning tools and quick thinking helped us think of many details we would have missed otherwise. Lily truly went above and beyond, even being willing to help us coordinate our tea ceremony (which we hosted the day before our wedding). We asked Lily if she would be open to helping us coordinate our tea ceremony about a month before the event when we realized that we were getting overwhelmed with the details. She was ready and jumped right in to help! Lily ran both our tea ceremony and the wedding flawlessly. We found out later that on both days she was addressing needs that came up without us even knowing - allowing us to focus on enjoying our special weekend as a couple. We got so many compliments from our family members on Lily's fantastic coordination skills. We cannot thank Slay Events enough for the fantastic service that allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding weekend. We strongly recommend Slay Events for all of your event coordination needs!

    I immediately loved Lily. I met her at a bridal bazaar that I really only went to for fun. I had the majority of my vendors locked in, but going to bazaars is part of the fun during engagement! Lily was amazing throughout our entire process. She is the most thorough and detail-oriented person I think I've ever met, and she does it all while smiling and finding humor in everything. Planning a wedding is very stressful, but with Lily, I really didn't notice much. I felt like she wanted to get to know us on a personal level, and we bonded over our love for T-Swift during our months of planning. She really is a gem, and I can't imagine how our day would have went if not for her. 1000/10 recommend. The only sad part is now that it's over, I'll never have the chance to work with her again lol We loved you Lily, thank you for making our vision come to life.

We met with several wedding planners, who were all great, but once we met Lisa we knew she was the one! Lisa immediately felt like family, someone you could trust, someone who listened and asked all the right questions. She always has your best interest in mind and is always there to remind you that everything will be okay. We selected the "wedding planning assistance" package because we truly needed all the help we could get! I would HIGHLY recommend this package to anyone because wedding planning is truly a marathon and Lisa is your coach during the whole process. She helps you sort out all the details that you don't even realize you need to think about. Right away, she came up with a game plan that prioritized our budget. She recommended vendors who, on our wedding day, delivered top-tier service. She is well-connected within the San Diego wedding industry and is beloved by these vendors, and I understand why. She attended vendor meetings with us and made sure the vendors understood our vision all while remaining cost-conscious. Did I mention she helped us stay within our budget?! Bailey and I frequently communicated with Lisa, asking her all kinds of questions. She responded quickly and offered incredible advice when we were torn between certain decisions. Lisa is so positive, always smiling, and constantly reassures you that your special day will turn out beautiful. AND IT WILL, in large part, due to her execution on the day of. Wedding planning isn't just Lisa's business, it goes deeper than that - it's her passion. My husband and I got married at The Darlington House in La Jolla and she was one of a few that were highly recommended, and it was the best decision ever! I am an extremely organized and scheduled person, so when I met Lisa I was instantly at ease. She was so friendly and so organized that I knew our wedding was in good hands. Lisa was also there for me with answers to any of my questions and a couple weeks before the big day when we met, she had everything laid our perfectly. Day-of Coordination: Elena stood out not only on the wedding day but also in the months leading up to it. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process--offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. I booked her early and we initially just did a couple meetings to discuss our vision and needs regarding coordination, vendor contracts and florals since we did not need a full-planning service, only partial. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. Honestly could not have done it without her and she was without a doubt my #1 worth it vendor! Would absolutely hire her for all your wedding planning and floral needs.

    I recently had the pleasure of working with Catherine for my sister's wedding events and let me…read moretell you-- there is no one better to be with in the wedding trenches than this lady! - Knowledgeable and experienced: Catherine never skips a beat with even the smallest details. She knows all wedding events like the back of her hand (including showers, bachelorette's, and rehearsals) so her clarity of organization on the timeline and all supplies needed is like second nature at this point. - Negotiator extraordinaire: Need to find a 9 seater limo for 5 hours on a budget? This lady will find the classiest joint within reason and barter them down to your limit! I needed this exact limo for my sister's bachelorette and she worked magic to price compare and organize it into perfect fruition. To this day I have no idea how she accomplished this, since I had called 3-4 other places and had no luck myself. - Listens to your opinions: If there is something you really want or really hate, she prioritizes your preferences. Sometimes a planner can make your voice feel minimized, but Catherine works over time to incorporate your vision into a practical application. That's not to say that she will let you make bad decisions-- if something is just not feasible, you can count on her to get you the very closest to your ideal as physically possible. - Highly organized: Do you need a layout of your reception area? She will use public google images as a base to manually draw in where each of your guest tables and buffet lines will go. Need a timeline about what will happen on the big day? She made a color-coded itinerary with action items bolded so you can easily glance down at the important parts. The best part about this is that it's not a chore for her-- she is a complete natural at making things organized and maximally aesthetically pleasing given her previous background as an architect. - Dependable: if things start to go south, Catherine is the first one on the job to straighten out any problems. She will be on the phone in an instant to make sure that vendors are pulling through, and if they don't, she has backup solutions on hand. Are you off the timeline due to unforeseen circumstances? Then she is already in contact with everyone else who may be affected to make sure appropriate communication happens. Don't worry- she arrived at least 10 minutes early to everything and has already convinced your venue staff to give you extra services you didn't know were available! Overall 5 out of 5 stars, I would pay Catherine to organize my finances during tax season and also redecorate my house if she would do it for me. This lady is just a fabulous organizer with great design taste!
