A very legit cheese shop, despite being so close to the touristy Red Light District. I didn't know…read moremy way around Dutch cheeses, so just asked the lady to pick a cheese that she thought would go well on each sandwich; expert pairing advice! Also, seems they make some of the meats in-house like the ham, roast beef and pastrami.
Broodje Gezond Kaas: This was a simple ham and cheese sandwich, yet so delicious. The ham tasted very fancy, so you can tell it is a specialty of theirs. And the bread was both chewy and crunchy.
Rosbief Truffel de Luxe Broodje met Truffelmayo: Very fancy roast beef with that truffle mayo in the mix. Same great cheese pairing and crusty bread. The greens worked well on this sandwich to offset the richness.
Spekkoek: Saw a few slices of this multi-layered Indonesian cake behind the counter. It was a bit different from other Lapis Legit that I've had before. It seemed the layers were thicker so there were fewer. Also, the spiced cake flavor was dominant and it didn't seem that buttery.
