It's a very small store, but is efficient. I would normally be freaked out about being in small stores during Covid-times, but this one was designed perfectly and just enough space. Lot's of self-check machines....no cash accepted. But they do accept American credit cards (boooo) and American debit cards (yaaaay)! It's an Albert Heijn "To Go" so kind of a different brand under the original AH. They are a little bit more expensive, but no worries on that, since it's very minor and you pay for the convenience. I love how they dedicate so much shelf space to the european beers and wine here as well. They understand their target market. This is the far east tunnel of Centraal Station - one of the busiest.

Bigger than the other groceries in the area. With that size comes a lot more variety of brands. Not too far from other groceries, it is easy to shop and compare prices. A big plus is the attached DVDB liquor store, so it's one-stop grocery shopping This new location is on Meeuwenlaan, so its easy to drive or bike to. There's plenty of parking as well..

I experienced something very disturbing yesterday at your store on Haarlemmerdijk. I was shopping…read moreand all of a sudden heard some white woman verbally attacking two of your customers who were people of color because of an item of clothing they were wearing. The two people were calmly shopping separately and I don't even think they knew each other, but this woman started telling both of them they were lovers of terrorists because of their clothing choices. The woman became very verbally violent. A worker at your store came over to see what was happening. The worker then asked the POC what their clothing meant instead of just telling the woman to leave them alone. The store worker then said "there are two sides to everything". The people being attacked were so threatened by the situation they left the store without their food. This is unacceptable! Especially during this pandemic time when getting out to gather groceries is life saving and threatening enough, your customers should feel safe. People should not feel like they need to defend themselves to racists and to store employees. I am now very sorry I did not say something myself. I have severe social anxiety and I am not confident in my Dutch but even this is not an excuse. At this point all I can do is write this message to you. Please take better care of your customers. There is NEVER two sides to people being attacked with racist hatred and being scared enough by a situation that POC have to leave without their food. I have no idea if anyone will ever see this but I am hoping that someone might and anyway these things need to be said.

I do like the bread counter and the staff was helpful. But squeezing between columns to get to certain meats was a little annoying. I did like the wines kind are off to the side. Sometimes you just need to browse which isn't too easy in the rest of the store. Love the location, it's awesome for me when coming back from the center. Just pull over and pop in...though I don't believe there is actual posts for bikes to park on, but there is space out front. All-in-all, as Yelp has listed for 3 stars, it's A-ok!
