In celebration of a few July birthdays, we went to Slabtown Cider in Uxbridge where we enjoyed a delicious meal, refreshing beverages, and even sampled some of their smoked meats. It was all delicious! My friends had the Double Smashed Burger, Bison Mac Pizza, Jerk Chicken Pizza, and Beef Tip Rigatoni. I had the Butter Chicken. Everything was really good, with generous portions that resulted in a couple of takeout containers. Beverages included a flight of beer, ciders, and more, all brewed on site. Refreshing. Following our delicious meal, we were treated to a sampling of smoked meats and sides from their smokehouse trailer. As full as we were, we really enjoyed this. It was all good! If you're unfamiliar with Slabtown, you'll have to check them out. They have a huge patio, with covered areas in case of poor weather, wide open spaces, excellent food, ciders and beer made on site, and just a really nice vibe. read more

Tip: Make a reservation to ensure that you have a table. There's a two-hour dining period, but it's not enforced. I met up with friends at Slabtown Cider last Saturday to celebrate our birthdays. We were a group of six. We made a reservation, which put our minds at ease. There was apparently a two-hour dining limit. We stayed longer, so it's more of a guideline. I have been to downtown Uxbridge. This eatery is in the middle of nowhere, but it's so beautiful when you arrive. There's lots of greenery. The open air was nice. There are apple orchards. It's a charming place. We had a 4:30 pm reservation. I got here at around 4:15 pm. Most parking spots were taken in the main area. Luckily, there was extra parking further back. I managed to find a decent parking spot and backed into it. Mosquitoes love me. I put on my NATPAK patches to ward them off. I love them so much because they work. I reckon that we were here for three hours. I escaped without a single bite. Yay! Two of my friends were out in the patio area. I went to join them. There was a wedding party outdoors. The only downside was having a female staffer tell me that this area was for a private event and I had to go around. As someone who was trying to figure things out for the first time, it was helpful. However, it was her tone that had a tinge of annoyance that I didn't appreciate. It was my first time figuring out where everything was. Cut me some slack. They were in front of the barbeque area. It smelled so good. We relaxed a bit and chatted before we headed to our table that was outside, but under a canopy. The rest of my friends filed in. Two of them have been here a bunch of times. One of them suggested that I take a look at the brewery. It was cool seeing it. We were led to our table. It was spacious and comfortable. We got menus. There was live music. Our table ordered these items (my items have a * after them): Drinks: - Raspberry tea * - Pineapple mimosa - Honey habanero - Beer flight: - Mexican - Blonde ale - Hazy IPA - Scottish ale Mains: - Beef tip rigatoni * - Butter chicken - Double smashed burger with fries - Bison mac pizza - Jerk chicken pizza (2) We got water to start. It was cold and refreshing. My raspberry tea came out next. It's a hard cider where tart raspberries meet earl grey tea. It was fabulous. It was slightly sweet, which was perfect on a warm summery evening. The beef tip rigatoni was excellent. The beef tips were tender and seared nicely. The rigatoni was al dente and fun to eat. It had mixed mushrooms, which I adored. The broth was mushrooms. I could taste roasted garlic. It was divine. The fries are yummy here. Everyone loved their food. The chefs knew one of my friends. They were kind to come out and wish us a happy birthday. They were so generous to offer barbequed proteins with sides to celebrate our special month. I was stuffed. I didn't know if I could shovel more food in me. Luckily, it did take some time to prepare our goodies, so it helped with my digestion. We got an assortment of ribs, brisket, and tender meat on sticks. I didn't know what meat was on the stick, but it was delicious and so easy to enjoy. The ribs had the best barbeque sauce. The rib that I devoured was tender, tangy, and yummy. The only downside to this assortment was the brisket. It was dry and we didn't have any drinks with us. I actually had to rely on eating the ribs with the barbeque sauce with the brisket. We got cornbread, corn salad, and mac and cheese as sides. All three were solid. You could see the corn kernels and carrot in the cornbread. It was yummy and so fluffy. I loved it. The corn salad was excellent. It was like eating elote, but without the corn on the cob. I loved the mac and cheese. The elbow macaroni was perfect, as was the cheese sauce. I used the washroom between our dinner and barbeque. The women's washroom has three stalls. The woman in front of me didn't realize that the middle stall was available. She waited for her friend to come out of the stall on the right. I used the middle stall. Clean. Spacious. No issues. We waddled over to the apple orchard to take photos. A friend gifted me a Grogu plushie. We went to town taking photos of Grogu with food and apples. It was a memorable, wonderful time with friends, good eats and drinks, in a picturesque setting. I'd come back again for more yumminess. (322) read more

I can't recall how I found out about this place, but I'm glad that I did! It's not too far from home & the atmosphere is just amazing! My friend and I went for dinner before line dancing on a Friday. We arrived at 5:30ish and were able to get a high top table on their patio. They don't take same day reservations & I recommend you make a reservation if you can, as it was already pretty busy at that time of the day. Our server, Alex, was a treat! She asked us if we've been there before, and when we said that it's our first time, she pretty much guaranteed that we would be back. She then proceeded to tell us about their apple orchard where they grow their own apples to make the ciders from. She took our drinks order and we told her that we're ready to order food as well. I ordered the bacon & pickle pizza. I've been wanting to try a pickle pizza forever, so I was happy to see one on the menu. My friend was contemplating on either the octopus starter with a side of sweet potato fries or the salmon entree. Alex had no doubt in her mind when she told my friend that the salmon is really good, so she chose that. Our drinks and food came quickly & everything not only looked good but tasted amazing too! My friend said the salmon was cooked to perfection. I loved my pizza. It was tasty and unique. I also ordered the pepperoni pizza add mushrooms to go for hubby. I got to eat some of that & it was really good as well. My hubby said he prefers the bacon & pickle one better. That is truly a high compliment as he usually doesn't like pizzas with a white sauce. The space at Slabtown has beautiful scenery. There is also an open, grassy massive space next to the patio where families can order food from their food truck & eat at a picnic bench, allowing their kids to run around freely. We went a couple of nights ago to Slabtown Cider They are located in Uxbridge just slightly east of Goodwood Highly highly recommend a reservation This place is rammed and very popular and we went on a Thursday evening The place is situated in a nice location and offers indoor and outdoor seating Service was a bit slow but expect this given how busy it is..... The place is a cidery that offers various ciders and also some craft lagers They offer great eats to accompany the drinks The menu offers sandwiches, pastas, pizza etc We started with the charcuterie board, the burrata flatbread and the sweet potato fries The board offers a good variety of meats, fruits and cheeses The flatbread was really yummy I had the Cubano sandwich and it was super super yummy A good stack of pork belly and ham on it The food was done pretty good Some comments on the pizza....maybe needs to be done a bit more in the oven as it was a bit soggy in the middle .... Really a 4.5, but rounded up. Have eaten at least 6 times. HUGE outdoor patios, yes plural. Abbreviated menu, which, for me, is good. Quality of food, way above average. Most dishes are a delightful twist to something you already know and love. Service always friendly and efficient. Their own beer and ciders. Dog friendly at outdoor patios. Only place that makes sure every dog has a water bowl that I've ever been to. Pricing a little more than your average roadhouse. Surrounded on two sides by greenery and one side by a field you can walk your dog or play with your kids. A really big field. Quiet surrounding area. Just on a backroad close to Uxbridge. read more

Super busy spot. A wedding and 2 birthdays this afternoon. Without reservations we had to wait about 40 mins which was fine with us. They have help in the parking lot to direct parking which is kinda cool. Food was good. I felt it could have used a little bit more salt. Burgers looked awesome although we didn't try them. This place has a total vibe, with outdoor heated comfy patio seating (conversation patio sets) around fire tables. It does get chilly, though, especially during a cold night. It was bearable while enjoying a hot cider, and you can have it with or without alcohol. We were able to score the last table outdoors by walking in. Indoor seating was all booked up. Make sure to book a reservation on Slabtown Cider's website. I heard during the height of the busy warmer season; the wait can be 2 hours to get a table. I was there only for a drink to wait for our ski time booking at Lakeridge nearby. Though my friend who ordered a pizza enjoyed it as well. read more

Thanks Yelp for helping me find this charming country Cider Brewpub in Uxbridge. We had lunch inside the pub and then got some cider to go from the building next door. Lunch was excellent. For the four of us we had: Chicken Fettuccine with a pistachio pesto Alfredo sauce Bison Orechetti tossed with olive oil Beet Salad Chicken Caesar wrap Warm nonalcoholic cider We had originally ordered a side soup for the wrap and one to go with the salad, but the soup of the day changed after we ordered, so fries went with the wrap and I got grilled chicken with the beet salad instead. I think that they felt bad about the soup swap and my side chicken was huge! I would go back again for that beet salad. So delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly. The only feedback would be that the washrooms were freezing cold. It was a cool winter day. read more

I love Slabtown! This place is super popular so reservation is highly recommended. The Funghi pizza is a must when I come here, literally THE best pizza ever. Ciders are always amazing as well, and their seasonal flavours never disappoint - Peach Bellini & Grapefruit Mimosa are two of my favourites. This one is a bit out of my way; since I am rarely (next to never) in the Uxbridge area. However this place is a picture perfect summertime/nice weather gem if you happen to find yourself in area. Slabside Cidery is a cidery first with a massive sized patio and great food and atmosphere to go with it. The tables inside are nicely spaced out and they have plenty of staff to see to your needs. The menu has enough variety to make everyone happy. I would recommend the double smashed burger. I am also pleased that the place is family friendly. My older one enjoyed their smashed burger. My younger one had chicken fingers (eg. Janes), which isn't anything to write home about, but they happily ate their lunch with no fuss. One thing that is a bonus, they have a large flat field, so you have kids with a little bit of energy - it is not a bad spot to have the kids run around and burn that energy out. read more

There is a huge outdoor patio and field. Inside is actually smaller but they have a cider production which is really cool. Theres also an area with drums for music night live music. At first we wanted to sit outside, but then it ended up being colder than expected so we requested to be switched to indoors which they accommodated. They also did offer us a personal mini heater but we still opted to sit inside due to the wind as well. They had both beer and cider flights but we opted for the cider flight. The best one was the blackberry current flavour. My least favourite was the honey habanero one - you could only taste the honey and the spice kick a little bit. I wasnt the biggest fan of the ginger one either because in my opinion ginger shots taste better. The fruit ones were . Of course, its all personal preferences. I personally thought I wouldnt like the fruity ones as much but I was wrong. The crab cake was slightly more disappointing than I expected - they looked overcooked. My friend really enjoyed it. I thought the sweet potato fries were amazing. The sauce was so good. Both the pizza and the pasta were really good. The pasta was a seasonal special though. On the bright side in my personal opinion the pizza was better than the pasta. read more

A little slice of patio heaven in the country side! Country breeze, and some top 40's country music just makes you kick back immediately. This is the first season they have a full service patio, that's very spacious with Umbrellas. Lots of free parking on gravel lot, they have some security in parking lot to guide you. The cider house is right by the parking for buying bottles of cider, butter tarts, cookies, pies and hand sanitizers. Large grassy field for kids and dogs to play on beside the patio. It was very comfortable and well organised during the first stage opening of Covid. Lots of young families and cyclists in the afternoon, make reservations as it gets busy. Must order the tasting flights of four varieties of cider, 2oz each for $10. The pineapple and watermelon thyme were very light and summery. The vanilla bourbon is the most dry. Sweet maple heat was interesting, liked the aftermath of heat but couldn't taste the fire going down. Food is decent, hand helds mainly. The shrimp tacos very light, I could easily add another two to my lunch. It had a nice apple pick de gallo salsa on top. Buffalo burger was tasty, a tad over cooked or dry perhaps. Crunchy calamari was lightly breaded and typical. The tasting flight is fun to try a few flavours before purchasing your favourite on way out. There is a kids menu that is just the main, drinks are extra, it's not really kid friendly here. I had to ask for a high chair which they had to find for my 20 month old, this took some time and it wasn't wiped clean before. Nothing to keep kids busy at table, so pack and come prepared! There's a large window to view the brewery down below in the main restaurant. A large apple orchard is taking shape on the property, but not old enough for the apple s to be used yet, so the apples are gathered from local sites nearby. Would easily come back! read more

We've been here twice for dinner (the first time we ordered take out and ate in the car and the second time we actually ate on their patio). My hubby and I came back for date night. We love this restaurant for the pretty views, great food and wonderful customer service. I ordered the Pineapple Cider slushie and my hubby had the lemonade. This resto is know for their ciders. They grown their own apples on site. I love the patio space. It's very spacious, the restaurant is very clean and the tables are nicely spaced out for physically distancing. We ordered the grilled calamari, shrimp tacos with house salad and my fave, Margarita pizza. The food is delicious and fresh. Our server recommended the Creme brulee for dessert and she was right...it's the best you will ever taste. The creme brulee was soooo silky and smooth Overall, this restaurant is a great option if you're looking for a place to eat and drink cider in Uxbridge, Ontario. This is the perfect fall date night spot! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our group. Thy rearranged a booth for us to accommodate an elderly guest that was with us. The restaurant is extremely spacious with high ceilings. The space opens out onto the patio which overlooks the stunning fall trees and landscape. The cider was remarkable! So many different flavours that were perfectly suited to the fall atmosphere. The Maple Bourbon and Black Currant was our favourites! The Prosciutto pizza was very flavourful and a great portion. The Garden Wrap is vegan and was delightful as well. Two other guests had the shrimp tacos which were also a hit! And the Smashed burger was also perfectly cooked and assembled! We ended the visit by wandering into the Slabtown store where we purchased over 10 bottles of their delicious cider! We went to Slabtown's music festival tonight. To start, the Trews were amazing! Their performance has nothing to do with this review. The poor rating has everything to do with the overpriced VIP tickets. Our waiter started off the night well, but the service got worse as the night went on. We made it clear that we wanted to order food, but we wanted to wait until later. Our waiter reassured us that he would come back to take our order before the kitchen closed. He came back at last call. We ordered pizza. He returned 5 minutes later to tell us the kitchen has closed, but we could go and walk to the food trucks and get food ourselves. It was a complete waste of money to pay for patio food service. We would never pay for it again. We were not impressed. If you go to the festival , we recommend only paying general admission. read more

This place has such an awesome, laidback atmosphere. We sat at their spacious patio where the plentiful tables are nicely spread apart so you and your party feel like you have so much room and don't have to feel claustrophobic. Whether you're here for a date, a girls' night out or even as a family, this place can accommodate all (even a night out with your dog in tow)! The patio spills right into an open field with casual picnic tables and wide space for kids to run around. Let me tell you, family friendly spaces like this where the ambiance still feels nice and a bit elevated for mom and dad are far and few to come by. Food is filling, varied and delicious. I find a lot of similar places, like breweries, just have snacks but you can order actual meals and courses here. Last but not least, the actual cider is pretty good! It comes in a plethora of flavours which seem to switch out seasonally so it definitely makes you want to come back to try more. Their tasting flight where you get to try 4 different flavours at once is so inexpensive, too! We got to try Pineapple Mimosa, Mojito Manzana, Watermelon Thyme and Mint Cucumber. And since it's summer you can get a cider slushie in select flavours (I got the Pineapple Mimosa. Having tried Watermelon Thyme, I really think that one is best as a slushie as well). We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to all our friends and family. Best thing is their farm store so that you can buy bottles of the cider to drink at home! read more

Amazing atmosphere and patio with a gorgeous view. The grounds are pristine and the food is fresh and delicious. We sampled several dishes and they were all outstanding! Loved the shrimp Tacos, butter chicken wrap (wow), grilled calamari, bison pizza (what?! It doesn't make sense but so good) and great salads too. We went to Slabtown Cider on a snowy Sunday afternoon and had an enjoyable lunch with friends. The restaurant has a big outdoor area made up of a covered patio with heaters, and a field where customers can picnic in the nicer months. There is also a little shop on site that sells butter tarts from Annina's Bakeshop. This is a dog-friendly establishment. The dining room is open-concept with tables and booth-style seating. They had live music which was not too loud. There is plenty of private parking, but I didn't get to check out the washrooms. The bison on the menu is sourced locally and they grow their own apples, but they lose a star because neither the lemonade or apple juice were made with real fruit juice, but people go there for the cider. Part of Slabtown's mission is "to preserve the history of Slab Town, Uxbridge and the historic orchards of Siloam now located on the property of Slabtown Cider Co." and that's something that I can get behind.
