Veggie pizza

We went a couple of nights ago to Slabtown Cider They are located in Uxbridge just slightly east of Goodwood Highly highly recommend a reservation This place is rammed and very popular and we went on a Thursday evening The place is situated in a nice location and offers indoor and outdoor seating Service was a bit slow but expect this given how busy it is..... The place is a cidery that offers various ciders and also some craft lagers They offer great eats to accompany the drinks The menu offers sandwiches, pastas, pizza etc We started with the charcuterie board, the burrata flatbread and the sweet potato fries The board offers a good variety of meats, fruits and cheeses The flatbread was really yummy I had the Cubano sandwich and it was super super yummy A good stack of pork belly and ham on it The food was done pretty good Some comments on the pizza....maybe needs to be done a bit more in the oven as it was a bit soggy in the middle .... Otherwise we all enjoyed our meals and would definitely go again

We enjoyed a wonderful meal and ciders on the patio last night. Our server, Adriana was friendly, welcoming and very efficient! She made certain that our meals were perfect in every way. The kitchen staff did an amazing job creating 5 perfect meals. The bar staff was flawless in executing our 5 very different flights. The atmosphere was cozy and just what we were looking for. We can't wait to return for fall dinner on the patio!

Super busy spot. A wedding and 2 birthdays this afternoon. Without reservations we had to wait about 40 mins which was fine with us. They have help in the parking lot to direct parking which is kinda cool. Food was good. I felt it could have used a little bit more salt. Burgers looked awesome although we didn't try them. The cider selection is outstanding. Such fun trying different ciders. The beer was excellent too All in all a good afternoon

This place has a total vibe, with outdoor heated comfy patio seating (conversation patio sets) around fire tables. It does get chilly, though, especially during a cold night. It was bearable while enjoying a hot cider, and you can have it with or without alcohol. We were able to score the last table outdoors by walking in. Indoor seating was all booked up. Make sure to book a reservation on Slabtown Cider's website. I heard during the height of the busy warmer season; the wait can be 2 hours to get a table. I was there only for a drink to wait for our ski time booking at Lakeridge nearby. Though my friend who ordered a pizza enjoyed it as well.

The fungi pizza is an absolute must-try, with its rich and savory flavours that will leave you craving more. We seriously think about this pizza all the time!! Their housemade ciders are also amazing. Our personal seasonal favourites are the Peach Bellini and Grapefruit Mimosa. Whether you're here for the fodd, the cider, or both, Slabtown Cider is sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you coming back for more! Would definitely recommend booking a reservation online as they do get quite busy!

I love Slabtown! This place is super popular so reservation is highly recommended. The Funghi pizza is a must when I come here, literally THE best pizza ever. Ciders are always amazing as well, and their seasonal flavours never disappoint - Peach Bellini & Grapefruit Mimosa are two of my favourites. The tasting flight is a great fun to try a few flavours before purchasing bottles in their store afterwards. Friendly, fast service despite how busy this place gets. Will be back!

This one is a bit out of my way; since I am rarely (next to never) in the Uxbridge area. However this place is a picture perfect summertime/nice weather gem if you happen to find yourself in area. Slabside Cidery is a cidery first with a massive sized patio and great food and atmosphere to go with it. The tables inside are nicely spaced out and they have plenty of staff to see to your needs. The menu has enough variety to make everyone happy. I would recommend the double smashed burger. I am also pleased that the place is family friendly. My older one enjoyed their smashed burger. My younger one had chicken fingers (eg. Janes), which isn't anything to write home about, but they happily ate their lunch with no fuss. One thing that is a bonus, they have a large flat field, so you have kids with a little bit of energy - it is not a bad spot to have the kids run around and burn that energy out.

Nice place, great views, friendly service, fun cider and beer options. Food is ok, had the burger, was presented well, little over done, but still enjoyable.

March 26/2022: Lunch with friends. Great cidery in the middle of absolutely no where it seems. Very busy place. I ordered the Taste Flight of 4 Ciders. All of the tasters were very tasty. The pizza I ordered was good but not great. It was under cooked & lacked ingredients. I'd do this place over again but I'd order something different from the very limited menu.

A little slice of patio heaven in the country side! Country breeze, and some top 40's country music just makes you kick back immediately. This is the first season they have a full service patio, that's very spacious with Umbrellas. Lots of free parking on gravel lot, they have some security in parking lot to guide you. The cider house is right by the parking for buying bottles of cider, butter tarts, cookies, pies and hand sanitizers. Large grassy field for kids and dogs to play on beside the patio. It was very comfortable and well organised during the first stage opening of Covid. Lots of young families and cyclists in the afternoon, make reservations as it gets busy. Must order the tasting flights of four varieties of cider, 2oz each for $10. The pineapple and watermelon thyme were very light and summery. The vanilla bourbon is the most dry. Sweet maple heat was interesting, liked the aftermath of heat but couldn't taste the fire going down. Food is decent, hand helds mainly. The shrimp tacos very light, I could easily add another two to my lunch. It had a nice apple pick de gallo salsa on top. Buffalo burger was tasty, a tad over cooked or dry perhaps. Crunchy calamari was lightly breaded and typical. The tasting flight is fun to try a few flavours before purchasing your favourite on way out. There is a kids menu that is just the main, drinks are extra, it's not really kid friendly here. I had to ask for a high chair which they had to find for my 20 month old, this took some time and it wasn't wiped clean before. Nothing to keep kids busy at table, so pack and come prepared! There's a large window to view the brewery down below in the main restaurant. A large apple orchard is taking shape on the property, but not old enough for the apple s to be used yet, so the apples are gathered from local sites nearby. Would easily come back!

We've been here twice for dinner (the first time we ordered take out and ate in the car and the second time we actually ate on their patio). My hubby and I came back for date night. We love this restaurant for the pretty views, great food and wonderful customer service. I ordered the Pineapple Cider slushie and my hubby had the lemonade. This resto is know for their ciders. They grown their own apples on site. I love the patio space. It's very spacious, the restaurant is very clean and the tables are nicely spaced out for physically distancing. We ordered the grilled calamari, shrimp tacos with house salad and my fave, Margarita pizza. The food is delicious and fresh. Our server recommended the Creme brulee for dessert and she was right...it's the best you will ever taste. The creme brulee was soooo silky and smooth Overall, this restaurant is a great option if you're looking for a place to eat and drink cider in Uxbridge, Ontario. We will definitely be back to try other dishes and dessert

Fishbone by the Lake is hands down one of the best dining experiences you can find in Stouffville,…read moreand honestly, I would compare it among the top restaurants in the entire York Region and GTA. From the moment you walk in, the combination of good food, warm service, and that beautiful lakeside view sets the tone for a memorable meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the standout was definitely the grilled sea bass. It was simply outstanding. Perfectly cooked with a crisp skin and tender flavorful bass. The fish was completely boneless, which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce and garnishes elevated the dish even further, and the presentation was so well done that it looked as good as it tasted. Honestly, it was so addictive that I would come back just for that dish alone! Service here is another reason this place shines. Our server, Christian, deserves a special shout-out. He is friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent from start to finish. It is rare to encounter service that feels genuinely thoughtful, and it made the day even more enjoyable. Yes, Fishbone by the Lake is on the pricier side, but it's absolutely worth it for the quality you can get. From the freshness of the ingredients, to the upscale presentation, and the relaxed lakeside atmosphere, everything comes together to justify the cost. There is also a good amount of free parking conveniently located across the street, which makes visiting stress-free. A few quick tips: reservations are a must. This is a popular spot, and with good reason, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. Weather could throw you a curveball in summer time since the venue is basically outdoor with a nice shade. Between the incredible food, stunning view, and top-notch service, Fishbone by the Lake is a solid 10/10 in my books. Honestly, whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a place to treat yourself with friends or families, this restaurant will not disappoint. Recommended!

I love this little shop…read more The staff are super friendly and helpful. One of my favourite things here are the potato volcanos!! It is a bacon wrapped baked potato with some cheese topping. Next on my "go to" list is the Guiness Steak pies. So easy to make and very flavourful. They also have chicken pot pies, steak and kidney pies and a few others. If you have a dog, well they have very nice bone marrow bones for your fur baby. Just pop in and see what may appeal to you. As I said, the staff is very helpful here.

These people have very questionable business practices. I just read a review that accused them of…read moremisusing copyrighted material on their website. I was in there at the beginning of the month and I purchased some steaks, a haggis and some other items. I called them back to order a 5 pound haggis. They were unable to get what I wanted and when I reminded them of our previous conversations where I told them that five individual haggis's were not acceptable because I needed a single haggis as a part of a Funeral ceremony they simply pulled up my past sale data and used the credit card information to process an unauthorized transaction?? Who does that? My family is trying to get ready for my Mother's Funeral this Saturday. I have no haggis, and a charge on my card. So on top of all of the arrangements that I've been dealing with this week I had to reach out to MasterCard and cancel my card for fear of further unauthorized transactions. Stealing people's copyrighted material is completely disrespectful, however putting through unauthorized charges while a family is trying to get ready for a funeral is despicable. As a consumer please keep in mind If a merchant tries to push a charge through just because they have your card on file from the past, but there was no new agreement or order, it's not valid, and you're absolutely within your rights to dispute the charge and demand a reversal. My advice...pay cash if you are shopping at The Meat Merchant but honestly the steaks at Costco are better and cheaper, and if you need haggis go to McComish's Wee British Shoppe in Orillia. The owner is an absolutely lovely chap and his steak and kidney pie is absolutely the best that I have had this side of the pond.

Service was decent but the food was average (for a premium place). Many of our items were not prepared the way we wanted and hence were sent back: Medium rare came as blue and when it came back it was quite dry which is not acceptable for a $74 steak but the person did not want to be a jerk and send it back again. They also messed up on the service-they gave wrong dish (order) and drinks to many people. The server also had to ask many people "what did you order?" Not good! Good thing this time i was with friend's and I was not entertaining clients or it would be quite embarrassing. A bit of a disappointment considering we have been here many many times. The actual experience is 3.5 but in this case I have to round down instead of up since they are not a 4. Downhill considering my previous reviews was a solid 5 without hesitation. Hope they can get back to the previous standard.

The patio area was clean & well-maintained, while the interior reminded me of a fancier dining area - complete with armchairs & cozy booths, chandeliers, and a fireplace. There were plenty of kind servers, and none of the tables seemed neglected for too long. However, the food didn't live up to the same standards considering the premium price, which was disappointing. We ordered the prime rib and grilled Chilean sea bass. Food presentation was pleasing, but the prime rib was overcooked (asked for medium rare), as were the fries. The vegetable and mashed potato sides were pretty basic too. I expected more buttery, whipped mash. The sea bass was alright, but it didn't stand out. The things we liked the most were the Yorkshire pudding (came with the prime rib) and the complimentary warm bread with olive tapenade.
