My go-to items are the Mexican tacos, tortas, and nachos. My wife is all about the Cali burrito, and the kids stick with the burger. The only downside is the inconsistency. Sometimes they're closed when you expect them to be open, and lately it hasn't always been the original cooks, which makes a difference in the food quality. But if you catch them open and spot the old-school red dually truck out front, do yourself a favor and stop by and you'll get a fantastic lunch.

Of all the Mexican spots I've tried, Diana's food truck takes the crown. Their chicken burritos and…read moretortas are hands down the best, packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Honestly, Diana's is what put me on to great Mexican food. I've eaten at other restaurants with really good dishes, but this truck still holds the #1 spot for me. The only downside (and it's not the food!) is the inconsistency of their hours. I never really know when they'll be open. More than once, I've driven out (totally worth the drive) only to find them closed. It would be nice if they had posted hours or even a number to call. But here's the thing: I still take my chances, because when Diana is there, the food is 100% worth it. And beyond the food, Diana herself is so kind, whenever she sees my kids, she gives them a little something for free, whether it's a drink or candy. That small gesture makes us feel like family. Highly recommend! Check this food truck out! SN: They have a little seating area. No frills. I always pick up and go. But if you choose, take a seat and stay.

The quesadilla tasted very much like the honey-lime slaw they put in it and I could hardly detect the pork. The guacamole was excellent, though, and I prescribe to the school of thought that believes everything tastes better with guac. The chicken bahn mi was overstuffed, but the chicken was a little dry. The truck has recently been hanging out in the Park Place Lounge parking lot late (11pm-2am) on Friday and Saturday nights. I haven't seen them during the light of day since my job overlords shoot on site anyone who tries to leave the building while the sun is still out.

The man in the truck couldnt speak English very well so it was hard to communicate.. They have two picnic tables out front to eat at which is nice No biggie so we switched to two tacos(two ground beef and two steak) and an order of Mexican street corn. The meat was so dry on both style tacos we could barely eat them.. the street corn was very sour and the corn had an odd taste that made me weary to keep eating it. The seasoning was also different than anything I have tried.. not in a good way We each only had one of tacos.. i couldnt even finish mine bc of the odd flavor..

They're main stage point is at the plaza where Bed, Bath and Beyond and And That is located (off Southside Blvd). They are only there on Saturdays. What we tried thus far. Shrimp PoBoy (5/5): The Shrimps had nice flavor. I just wish it was a 3 foot long sandwich because I wanted to eat some more. Meatloaf (5/5): I am not a Meatloaf fan; not high on my food list, but this being a soul food item, I just had to try it out and I am glad that I did. It was so bomb. Pulled Pork Sandwich (5/5): Nice flavorful meat. Their side bbq sauces is a must try; compliments the sandwich very well. Step a'Sides; the honorable mentions: Mashed Potatoes (5/5): At a glance, they looked like instant potatoes but they are real potatoes. You can taste some of the chunks. Some labor of food love was spent mashing these mamajammas. Yum. Collard Greens (5/5): Delicious, done just right. Definitely soul food material. Peach Cobbler: Oh hell yes Pound Cake: I'll take it as well The Meh belonged to the Cornbread; it was dry tasting. It was my least favorite. All in all, I enjoyed the food here and planning to come back.

Because of that, hundreds of kids and families ended up with zero food or drink options at an event that was supposed to be fun and well-planned. If a business can't be relied on to show up when they commit to a community event -- especially one involving children -- that's a major problem. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. We won't be contacting them again for future school events.
