If you suffer from any type of medical issues, buyer beware and think twice, about coming here. I left abruptly, disappointed and it was truly a waste of time, efforts and my list could go on and on... This is what happened to me, if you're interested please read my experience. Sorry, it's lengthy, no short way of explaining... This place is booked out about two weeks in advance, I'd suggest to put your name on waitlist, due to cancellations. There's an extensive form to fill out, I filled it out truthfully, submitted over a week in advance and knew it would be a long drive (51 mi) from home. I spoke with clinic extensively, daily, with multiple questions because for a person like me, I'm chronically ill and must be careful with my risks. The day of my appointment, we drive down, taking about 1.5 hrs, with traffic and took us in for my consultation. She goes over pricing for what I wanted done, discussed how many sessions are needed. We only had time to do one treatment done. They put us in room, put things in closet and laid on white heated bed with comforter. I'm warm, asked to turn it down and begun treatment. She put numbing gel on my neck and left (about 15 min) I got up to grab phone from closet and laid back down. I think, from moving around, some of cream wiped off, plus I'm wearing oxygen tubing on my face which lays directly on my neck, some could've been rubbed off. As she continued treatment, going along, when she got closer to body, it began to sting and it began to hurt. I thought how strange, because I felt nothing while she was on upper part of my neck, so asked if she could put additional cream on other side in case it got rubbed off. She did and I definitely couldn't feel anything. She provided stress balls, it continues to sting a lot and suddenly, everything stopped. We were only halfway through treatment removal. I've been waiting for weeks to have this procedure done. Then, esthetician got up and left (?) she came back and said, she could not finish my treatment. I pleaded with her, we are almost done and worst part was on other side she didn't finish. Then, manager came in, saying that they cannot finish the treatment. Excuse me? She said, they don't know whether I'd heal, it could get bad if doesn't heal properly. And, she spoke with the owner, she felt it would be best if I left. I explained, I would sign any liability onto myself. All I wanted to do is finish my treatment. Nope, basically, they want me to get up and leave, we are right in middle of my treatment. I asked, why did you even tell me, I could come here, if you were unable to do my treatments? I drove a long way to get there, over 51 miles away from home & I can't drive that far, it's how much I wanted this treatment done. I was little dizzy from laying down, it took me little bit to get ready and got up. I am not going to pay for an unfinished treatment, they said, I needed to cover for esthetician's time and pay $50, they gave me a pamphlet and I left. It was waste of my time, efforts and if you suffer from any medical issues, I'd think twice about coming here. read more

I've been coming to this spa for at least 2 years and love the service. I bought a laser package and my skin still looks good 2 years later! My stubborn dark spots are much lighter and trust me, I've done almost every other treatment such as chemical peels, brightening serums, and retinol and that didn't work nearly as well. I have a history of sensitive skin and hormonal acne so I get breakouts pretty often. Due to this, I have experienced a fair share of skin clinics in the States as well as in Korea. Overall, from my experience, SLA is definitely one of the best skin clinics in the States that emulates the skin clinics in Korea! If you are looking a skin clinic in Aurora, I would definitely recommend checking out SLA! They don't just have acne, but also other laser technology, lifting technology and more! -Overall: The best part about skin clinics in Korea is their customer service attitude, clinic interior design, and services that they provide (usually very high tech). SLA hits the nail on the head for these things! The moment you step into this clinic, you can tell that the interior design (from the soap in the bathroom) to the mirror in the individual rooms, were carefully thought out and maintained. The clinic is very clean but also inviting at the same time! -Treatments: Before my treatment, the owner of the clinic gave me a free consultation of my skin. She advised me on the treatments that she thought would be most beneficial to me and the time frames for each treatments (i.e. every 2 weeks). I also really appreciated that they have a very transparent price list for all of their services. One too many times, skin clinics that I have been to before will recommend certain services to you without telling you the price. However, SLA can literally give you a list of all of the prices of their services and they give discounts through intervals of 5x and 10x. After looking at my skin, I was recommended to do the Skin scaling package for 5x! Usually, an acne treatment is some sort of package where the climax of the treatment is the extractions. These are usually very painful and the intensity of the treatments makes it hard to meet people the day after because your face is very red. However, at SLA, I noticed that they curated their acne treatment in a way that tries to make it as painless as possible. The extractions were definitely not as painful as my past experiences! They also do a lot of calming treatments after the extractions so that your face doesn't look too bad (you can still do your normal things after!). -Staff: Super friendly staff that try to make you as comfortable as possible. They start you off with a short head/scalp massage and they also give you the option of a leg massage (through a machine) during one of the treatments. The leg massage machine kind of feels like a big blood pressure cuff which I think is supposed to help with circulation. It was an interesting feeling but felt pretty relaxing to me! read more

Been coming here for a few months for their pico laser toning. Staff are courteous and efficient. I signed up for 5 sessions of pico laser but felt I needed more so I signed up for another 5 sessions. It has made a difference in the brightness of my skin and I feel my pores are tighter and skin texture is better. It's not as effective as a fractional laser but there's no downtime and safer for my darker skin tone. For the cost, I feel it's worth it to try out for the moderate results. read more
