My stubborn dark spots are much lighter and trust me, I've done almost every other treatment such as chemical peels, brightening serums, and retinol and that didn't work nearly as well. I have a history of sensitive skin and hormonal acne so I get breakouts pretty often. Due to this, I have experienced a fair share of skin clinics in the States as well as in Korea. Overall, from my experience, SLA is definitely one of the best skin clinics in the States that emulates the skin clinics in Korea! If you are looking a skin clinic in Aurora, I would definitely recommend checking out SLA! They don't just have acne, but also other laser technology, lifting technology and more! -Overall: The best part about skin clinics in Korea is their customer service attitude, clinic interior design, and services that they provide (usually very high tech). SLA hits the nail on the head for these things! The moment you step into this clinic, you can tell that the interior design (from the soap in the bathroom) to the mirror in the individual rooms, were carefully thought out and maintained. The clinic is very clean but also inviting at the same time! -Treatments: Before my treatment, the owner of the clinic gave me a free consultation of my skin. She advised me on the treatments that she thought would be most beneficial to me and the time frames for each treatments (i.e. every 2 weeks). I also really appreciated that they have a very transparent price list for all of their services. One too many times, skin clinics that I have been to before will recommend certain services to you without telling you the price. However, SLA can literally give you a list of all of the prices of their services and they give discounts through intervals of 5x and 10x. After looking at my skin, I was recommended to do the Skin scaling package for 5x! Usually, an acne treatment is some sort of package where the climax of the treatment is the extractions. These are usually very painful and the intensity of the treatments makes it hard to meet people the day after because your face is very red. However, at SLA, I noticed that they curated their acne treatment in a way that tries to make it as painless as possible. The extractions were definitely not as painful as my past experiences! They also do a lot of calming treatments after the extractions so that your face doesn't look too bad (you can still do your normal things after!). -Staff: Super friendly staff that try to make you as comfortable as possible. They start you off with a short head/scalp massage and they also give you the option of a leg massage (through a machine) during one of the treatments. The leg massage machine kind of feels like a big blood pressure cuff which I think is supposed to help with circulation. It was an interesting feeling but felt pretty relaxing to me! read more
