Fortunately, we met Ivan at Chable's Concrete who was an absolute delight to work with. He showed up on time for our appointment, offered us several great solutions for our challenging backyard (which is narrow, and slightly sloped), and promptly sent an estimate. He understood our plan that seemed puzzling to other companies. When we made changes, it was no problem. Ivan came by the next day to measure, finalize the design, and answer any other questions we had. He scheduled our installation the following week. Day one of our project, Ivan and Rodger excavated, leveled the site, and laid the forms. Day two, he poured cement and created a beautiful custom patio design. Patty offered great design input, while the Lakewood team efficiently installed the fireplace and even set the stone fireplace surround. The 6000CLX is a huge upgrade from our previous fireplace. We now have a truly all-season gas fireplace with a lot of flexibility. During the winter, the higher flame settings and built-in fan add a lot of needed warmth to the downstairs. In the spring and fall mornings and evenings, the lower flame settings add a warm ambiance. On summer evenings, the electric embers feature adds an nice accent without the heat.
