Over the past year or so I have noticed that there are more fare inspectors, outfitted in neon yellow shirts, however these hasn't proven to be effective in reducing the homeless presence. Over the years I have seen people smoking on the training, sleeping, and even masturbating....yikes.

We have to UNFORTUNATELY transfer from the Metro Park-n-Rides to the MetroRail to get into the Medical Center which has become dangerous and increasingly unsafe. The majority about 90% have to use the MetroRail en route to the Medical Center. This means that a large portion of Houston's Workforce is at risk every day due to inadequate transportation options. We want Metro to have more Park-n-Rides go directly into the Medical Center without having to transfer to the MetroRail, just like the Woodlands, Conroe, and Katy does. This will ensure safer travels for commuters. MetroRail also DOES NOT take action addressing safety ANY CONCERNS from it's PAYING passengers! Several people including myself have addressed NUMEROUS times incidents such as harassment, verbal assult, physicial assult, fighting, theft, stalking, threats of violence, transients sleeping on trains, panhandling, etc without any protection or care or concern from Metro Police. Passenger's complain to the drivers of the train and they ignore us, they really don't care. The paying customers are the ones that constantly get harrassed going to and form work, it has become a nightmare. Metro harass paying customers while transients ride free all day long and keep constant madness! The MetroRail is dirty, nasty, and always has foul orders of urine and feces smell. On any given day you will see transients eating, sleeping, drinking, or smoking weed on the train, and do you think they get put off?? NO! Everyone turns a blind eye! Wheeler Ave, Downtown, Main Station are the absolute worst!!

For me, this is a rarity, and a big deal. I am such a clean freak, I always clean, and disinfect the chairs, and tables I sit at when I'm at any airport. Thank you Houston for setting the bar high. I love seeing the kids kiosks, and play area. Having this for the kids (and parents) is such a smart idea. I'm sure the parents who have layovers, and delays appreciate it. I would have appreciated it when my kids were young. Thank you to all the staff we've encountered in different areas of the airport. They have all been pleasant, and helpful. Which is another rarity to find. Probably that southern charm. I want to personally thank Officer Vo at the Global Entry desk. A layover brought us back here and it was quiet and not crowded for a Saturday, early evening. As far as US airports go, this was a nice change and a pleasure to fly through. Connecting international flights take extra time to go through passport control, immigration, and recheck bags. Allow extra time for connecting flights. Only downside, hence a deduction of a point is somehow my neck pillow was either stolen or thrown away after going through the security machine. Although there are cameras everywhere, they couldn't find it. All in a matter of minutes. At least all my important items were still there.

This bus line - Houston Metro's 102 - almost requires its own review because its function is unique…read moreand the experience is very different from that aboard regular bus routes, and even those with limited morning and evening runs connecting exurbian park and ride lots and downtown. This bus goes between IAH airport and downtown Houston ... and that's it. The buses are sometimes like motor coaches, with upholstered seats, power outlets, overhead vents you can regulate, and some room for luggage on and below. On occasions, it might be an articulated bus, which is a double length bus and still spacious. You can't argue with the fare. It's $1.25 and it behooves the Houston area to keep it low so people can get between IAH airport and downtown and keep vehicles such as rental cars, rideshares, and taxis off the road. Note that IAH-Bush Intercontinental is the much more distant of H-town's two major airports. This bus line would easily get 5 stars if two things were present. First, the bus uses I-45, which is free of charge, instead of using the quickly moving parallel tollway from downtown and heading toward IAH. The other is that the, for a small part of the trip, the bus plies the streets of Greenspoint, and that part goes slowly. It's that this area, near IAH, has a fair number of big hotels seemingly aimed at airport and business park travelers put up during the '70s boom. I'm sure it does not look like the Greenspoint of the "Brady" years and Houstonians tend to make jokes about that, but many are not suitable for repeating. Lastly, this bus often tends toward being full. I've only taken it twice - once in each direction - and would gladly take it in the future. If picking it up at the airport - right outside Terminal C - you just queue and that determines when you board or if you are slated for the next bus. If picking it up downtown, it runs between the big Metro transit center and goes up linearly along the length of downtown until it merges onto I-45 and starts moving more fluidly. In that short leg, I saw it go from being sparsely populated near its downtown terminus to filling up by its last downtown stop, so plan accordingly if you want a more comfortable ride. - - - - - As I approached the 102, it was as if some sort of a song or jingle was playing in my head. It would have had the tempo and delivery of "ABC" by the Jackson 5. I'll give this the "old college try." Remember that you must infuse a Jackson 5 "ABC" rhythm - you know, when music was spirited - or this won't work. I was shocked to arrive at my gate and see a small plane sitting at the end of the jetway. I was expecting a huge transAtlantic monster, what I saw was something like a plane I would take to Seattle or New York. I asked the men at the gate and sure enough, that was our plane. Seems the little guy's cargo bays had been modified to hold more fuel. More interesting, the whole plane was business class. A-OK by me, since that's how we had booked. The grade A treatment started with the pleasant conversation with the men at the gate and continued happily from there. PrivatAir was operating the flight on behalf of KLM, by the way. The service given to us by the crew was very pleasant. We never wanted for a thing. The wines and food served were highly enjoyable. Actually I have to say it was the best food I have had on any flight. The accommodations for our rest while making the jump across the Atlantic were great. Pillows were nice and big, blankets were warm, thick, and comfy. Our little goodie bags were nice as well and had everything we needed. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a bit more of a recline on the seats, but it was definitely enough to be comfortable and it was not the completely flat seats that are strangely uncomfortable. Waking up was gentle and happy, as breakfast was as good as dinner. I can't say much about in flight entertainment, as I didn't really watch anything. My travel companion, however was happy with the selection and seemed to enjoy herself. If you get the chance to book the late flight from IAH to Amsterdam with KLM and book business class, hopefully PrivatAir will be running the flight for you too. If you can EVER book a flight that is run by PrivatAir, do it. You will be happy with the experience and arrive at your destination much more relaxed than if you fly cattle car or even business class on a larger plane.

The people in downtown have a whole city that the rest of Houston do not know about. With it's own dining experiences, shopping, and architecture. This section of the tunnels was by far the most beautiful. If you are a photographer and want some interesting shots this is the place to go. The history that these tunnels hold are endless. It's cool almost throughout the whole system and will protect you from the rain and HEAT. If you're a tourist staying in downtown this is something neat to check out, or even a local form the suburbs, it only takes a few hours to walk to the whole thing and you'll get your exercise while you're at it.
