Came…read morehere with my son for his field trip and since I have been an off and on resident of this area since 2000 I thought I should check it out myself as I helped out the 4th grade teachers. Wunderlich farm is rich in history, our neighborhood being heavily influenced on German families is nice to learn where the names of our local schools come from, streets, and local shops. The friendly staff teaches visitors about how it was growing up as an early settler though out NW Houston raising animals with their daily chores and we even experienced doing manual labor work ourselves to appreciate where we are now with advances in technology. I would definitely recommend to take a walk into our local history's past and bond with your family to a place so rich in stories and tales to share even throughout these years.

I really loved learning about different cultures and especially the Ghanaian fantasy coffins! I had never heard of this before. The display of hearses over the years were fascinating and gorgeous. There's many photo opportunities (they're marked for you too) and lots to learn! Make sure to give yourself a few hours to soak it all in.

It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. We've only been here one so far, but we really liked it…read more Specifically, we came because we were in the woodlands area for my daughter's birthday and so we thought it would be fun for her to play somewhere while there. I usually buy The Woodlands Children Museum membership with her birthday money, but we wanted to try someplace new. They do not have a membership, but they do have a punch card, which I thought I would consider purchasing for her birthday gift if she liked the place. My favorite thing about here is that they have age limits and they don't charge if you're over the age limit or younger than the age limit. This was perfect because although I had my older daughter with me, she sat in the corner on her phone the entire time so I would have been more annoyed if I had to pay for her. My son, who also aged out, came in later and played for a couple of minutes with his younger sister, but was ready to leave and get snacks quickly. So I am happy that I would not have to pay for the children that don't actually enjoy being there and have to come with their siblings haha. I wish the woodland's children museum, including others, would adopt that philosophy. Having said that, the videos that I saw online made it seem like it was a larger place than it is. It's probably around less than half the size of the woodlands children museum. They mostly just had everyday toys over there and tiny little rooms that I couldn't really maneuver with my stroller. I was surprised to see that they got busy pretty quick. I would expect a location to be larger if they had more patrons coming. I will have to say, I wish they had a couch or nice seating for the adults who were all pretty much just standing around or following their children. My daughter was able to do the slime for her birthday and I purchased another slime for my older daughter to do which was the only thing that she actually liked ( the older one I mean... the younger one had fun with everything). I will have to say, the girl who was working there, I wanna say that her name was Callie or something (sorry I forgot), was very helpful and made the slime fun for my daughter. She let my daughters choose the different colors and the sprinkles that went in. As long as my children enjoy it, that's literally all I care about. So even though I thought it was pretty small, and wish they had better seating, I will be coming back.

It appeared there was only one person working, and she could have used a little help. Nevertheless, she did a good job, and was helpful and friendly. It would be nice if there was just a little more room. But that didn't stop the kids from having a good time. The different areas were all a big hit, such as the food truck, the office, the vet area to name a few. The kids moved from one area to another with no issues and enjoyed them all.

However this was my first time back in probably over 20 year and they have TONS of things geared towards kids now. I'd be a happy kid! Anything under the sun "festival" will be found here. I was hoping to see more Bluebonnet art, but unlike 20 some odd years years ago it's more commercialized now, just think any festival you go to with "some" bluebonnet stuff mixed it. Home decor, yard art, Texas art, graphic tees, clothes, make your own potpourri, candles, jewelry, festival memorabilia,everything! And let's not forget about festival food! Lots of it! Adult beverages can be found everywhere. You can also get a glimpse into Chappell Hill history by going into the Historical Society building and other buildings along Main St. There is a kids section of carnival rides and face painting for those who have kids in tow. Parking as of this year is $5 and contrary to review number 1 - apparently they have it covered now because there were zero issues. Tip 1 - I would suggest arriving first thing in the morning to avoid any congestion. Tip 2 - There are TONS of yard art vendors. Shop around before you impulse buy. Several venders are much cheaper than the venders at the very start of the festival off Main and 290. Tip 3 - Some venders (not all) only take cash - so bring it! There is an ATM in the Historical Society building....unless they move it. Tip 4 - I laughed when I saw women toting around carts and wagons without kids. But I soon found that they were the smart ones! I bought so much cheap yard art that I could hardly carry it. Who's laughing now. Not me!! Lesson learned - bring something to carry your crap once you buy! You'll be happy you did! Enjoy!!!
