One of the most interesting museums I've ever been to and not to mention, beautifully curated!…read more This is a must visit for anyone interested in learning funeral history (family-friendly) and different traditions around the world. I really loved learning about different cultures and especially the Ghanaian fantasy coffins! I had never heard of this before. The display of hearses over the years were fascinating and gorgeous. There's many photo opportunities (they're marked for you too) and lots to learn! Make sure to give yourself a few hours to soak it all in.

There is also a petting zoo with llamas and goats and horses and even giraffes but the kids have usually been more interested in the aquarium and aviary. There have been some changes to the pricing and the play area with all the bouncy houses has drastically changed since we had a membership last year, so I'm not sure if we'll renew. But it is still definitely a place we'll hit up at least once a year!

Depending on what you will be doing, it ranges from 30 to 90 credits. About $3 to $9 depending on how much credit your purchase as they give free credits the more you buy. The koi were huge and hungry. For 30 credits, got to buy some koi food to feed them. The sting rays were fantastic. First time to feed stingrays. Mouth is on the bottom... a staff showed us how to feed them. Learned something new. We got to throw some fish to the otters. Petted lemurs and kangaroo. Went up close to an Asian water monitor lizard. It was big... 8 ft in length. A lot of firsts for us. They also had a camel, giraffe, turtles, different types of lizards, ant eater, baby armadillo, warthog and so much more. We didn't get a chance to interact with the capybara as they were cleaning the cage. We went in a Friday afternoon and wasn't busy. I can see how kids would love the place. Oh yeah, they even had penguins that you can interact with too. Another first. Definitely worth visiting if you like animals.

Seems like this town was a real Tiny Town there till the oil boom hit and things got rolling. The equipment was that was used in medicine during this era is very interesting and sometimes appalling but that's the way it was. To obtain entry to this facility you must schedule an appointment at the humble Museum which is about a block away it to holds a wealth of information about this Tiny Town that was once way out there from Houston but real near where the oil was in the ground.

This small free museum facing Old Spring explained the way things stood in the early 1900s with relics from the time period. The volunteers working there were readily available to give you some extra history and it was good to see how times have changed . Recommend a look .

It's worth looking around if you enjoy small town American history and is exactly what you would expect but very well-maintained and usually very quiet. Their tag line is - "Historic documents, photos and memorabilia tell the story of Spring and the surrounding area." So exactly what you expect. My fave part is that they have quite a few things that look like they were lifted right out of a haunted house.
