What a great time! The staff was so friendly. The forms were easy to fill out. I cannot give anything away here - just go and experience! We did the Mayor's office. At a 22% rate for getting out I thought we were sunk in the first 11 minutes. So many great puzzles to solve and the thrill when we figured out a code or found a key was awesome. Great value for the cost. During a time when there is little to do, we were safe in our small group, locked in a room ( well more than one room as you worked through it). This was the perfect way to spend an afternoon followed up with take home food from a Downtown Kitchener restaurant. ....we got out!!!! Can't wait to do another room. Thank you Kitchener team for a stellar experience.

It really adds to the whole environment and experience. The clues tied together really well although there was no story or theme to it. Adventure Rooms only has two rooms and they do not change frequently. The passing rate of the first room (Game #1) is 20% and the second room (Game #2) is 25%. So, not a high passing rate for either. The rooms are European style as well so you go through a house, basically. What made Adventure Rooms a lot of fun was the fact that it involved many little steps/puzzles that you had to solve to get out, rather than just one hard problem. This is one of our top places, and we can't wait to go back for Game #2!

I am a Taurus girl, and anyone who knows a Taurus girl knows that we love to cook. But what is even more exciting to us, is being able to cook things that we've found from the earth and puled out with our bare hands. This tour satisfied the earthy Taurus in me and the Wild Outdoorsman in my Sagittarius boyfriend. Last October, my we were in Stratford to see Othello. Now, he's not the biggest Shakespeare fan, So I needed to find something fun for him while we were there (but also something fun for me, too.) Since we are both great lovers of the outdoors and especially foraging, I did some research on the internet and came across Puck's Plenty. For $35 per person, this outing can't be beat. We all met in a designated area and shared rides to the different hiking sites. Peter had been out earlier and picked some wild cress for everyone and packaged it baggies for us to enjoy later. Our specific goal was to find some fall mushrooms. At our first site, Peter showed us some that were good for eating and pointed out a few that were poisonous. Then we visited a second site where we took a walk through the woods for a couple of hours and found Velvet Foot Mushrooms on the sides of trees. Peter explained that they were good not only for eating, but for thickening and adding extra flavour to gravies and stews. We also found wild ginger root that he dig up for us (and I used some later that night in a vinaigrette on the wild cress and it was absolutely delicious). Our third site was on a private farm with an amazing vegetable garden that we were free to pick anything we wanted from if we left a donation at the farmhouse. There were beets, squash, onions, leeks, pumpkins and turnips. This may sound like nothing to anyone who lives in the country, but as a country raised girl who lives in the concrete jungle now, it was like going home! From there, we visited the most magical forest I've ever been in. It must have been an acre of tall thin pines, planted in formation. It was very dark and there were mushrooms as far as the eye could see. We found Lactaruis, Blewitt, and Puffball mushrooms. I think we spent over an hour in this incredible place, constantly finding new mushrooms, examining them and picking the ones that we could identify as ok to eat. When we reached the farmhouse to leave our donation, we found out they had fresh eggs and bought 2 dozen. Everyone on the tour with us was very friendly and helpful and Peter was a knowledgeable and seasoned guide. I would say that this was no only worth the $35 but far more in terms of learning and experience and we went home with more than enough delicious food for the whole week. No matter what your sign is, I'm willing to bet that you'd have a great time out in the woods on a Puck's Plenty foraging day. Thank you, Peter.

My husband surprised me by bringing me back to Dundee Country Club for a round of golf. Afterward, we decided to grab a bite to eat in the club house. My husband led me outside to the patio, where there was a reserved table with pink gerbera daisies (our wedding flowers) in vases. I was so surprised! The Hospitality Manager, Rebecca, came out to our table and all was revealed to me. My husband had been in touch with Rebecca to arrange the whole thing - Rebecca reserved the table for us, and went out shopping for the daisies (my husband told her what colour) and vases. Apparently that's all my husband had planned until Rebecca asked if there was anything else they could do, like a different menu than just burgers and hotdogs from the club house. My husband didn't know this was possible, but definitely jumped at the chance. Rebecca said that they were big on anniversaries and could do whatever we wanted. So my husband pre-ordered us shrimp cocktails, salads, chicken and steak - it was amazing! He also arranged for the Cake Box in Kitchener to deliver cupcakes, which Rebecca was totally fine with. She accepted the delivery when it arrived, and plated it nicely for us for dessert. We chatted with Rebecca throughout the lunch, and she is truly a wonderful lady! She was more than happy to help out with the anniversary surprise, and willing to make suggestions. I feel like she went above and beyond what her role entails. She's also incredibly friendly and funny. I would happily recommend Dundee Country Club to anyone who wants a little something special done. Oh, and the golf course itself - it was great! A good mixture of shorter and longer holes. The Starter was also awesome - we wanted to golf alone since it was our anniversary, so he was able to re-arrange some groups to make it happen (note: at least one foursome didn't show up, which is how he was able to help us out. I don't think he would have shuffled everyone around if it was a major inconvenience, which is understandable). Overall, the day was awesome and the staff at Dundee Country Club were amazing!

Well, with the recent heatwave that happened, I was in the neighbourhood, saw a parking lot, and decided to stop by. It was 36°C outside. With the humidity, it was much hotter. I am crazy, but I am glad that I stopped by. I walked around the park. It's picturesque and I can understand why folks choose to get wedding photos taken here. There are plenty of benches around. The bike and walking paths are generous. There are a ton of bridges over the water. Lots of folks were out and about. I also got to say hi to a dog and his owner. For kids, there's a splash area. There were plenty of cheerful kids cooling off and having a good time. I liked the canoe that was at the park. It was different, but a good fit. I spent nearly an hour there. I left fearing that I would be a water blob from the heat. I will try coming back here when it's not as humid. It's the perfect way to relax, take a stroll, and take photos of this beautiful park.
