This was a temporary gym for me while I was in the area for a few weeks. I chose this gym for the…read moreproximity and reasonable monthly membership fee and was not disappointed! The gym is very clean and the employees were very friendly. I loved that they have communal chalk for free - great for when you forget or if you are a first timer. There are not too many problems to work on here and even fewer overhangs. Although they make up for it by changing a section of the wall every week so it keeps things new and fresh. For a tall person I also thought some problems were too short (I could reach the top after a few steps). Maybe setters can make problems more interesting by setting longer routes. Overall I would still come back whenever I'm visiting Canada again!

My nieces (8 & 11) absolutely love this place, so I guess it must be OK. To be clear, this is not…read morerock climbing walls. This is "bouldering". The difference being zero help, no ropes, no safety of any kind aside from a padded floor. Some walls are steep and over 20' tall, so a fall can be significant. Guess that's why you sign a waiver. This place is clean and spacious with almost limitless possibilities to suit all skill levels. The colored nodules on the wall indicate a skill level and "path" you should take to reach the top. Using a color other than the one you started with would be considered cheating--but I won't tell. Admission price varies depending on group size and you get admitted for an all-day pass. I would like to see an hourly option since we really only needed 2 hours to get hour fill of fun. We paid about $17 USD per person. Groupon has several offerings to help reduce that cost. My only recommendation would be to offer some sort of instruction, tips, videos, etc related to bouldering. There was only one staff member and he never came over to offer a tip or advice or anything to help us navigate the walls better. They had a TV playing video of rock climbing, but that is of no value here. Overall very enjoyable time with the kids, but I think I prefer Sky Zone instead for the variety of activities available.

After waiting for 30 minutes, my oldest child went to the monkey bars, but even though he was just standing there, they told him to come back and keep waiting. They insisted we wait until someone was available to assist us. My kids do not need help with monkey bars or rock climbing, at least not my 12 years child who has done it many times before. Then, one of the staff members claimed I wasn't following their policy and accused me of trespassing. Their only policy seemed to be making us wait. What started as excitement quickly turned into us being treated like criminals. The customer service was terrible. I'm glad I didn't spend any money there, and in just two minutes, they lost $110 from us. I also found out they charge an extra $15 to rent harnesses and shoes, on top of the ticket price. If I could, I'd give them zero stars.

He also loved climbing the many different rock walls once we were able to belay for him. The facility is geared towards extreme amateurs like my wife and I to very advance climbers. It was also really cool to watch the more experienced climbers. I the facility is kept really clean and their washrooms also have showers if you need to clean up. If you are looking for a great place to have fun with your family, I'd recommend going to Aspire!

There are variety of things to do here from…read morethe rock climbing wall (join the Outer's Club for access), golf simulator, the pool, the basketball court and the fitness centre (including the Astro turf on the upper level). I would say the variety of activities here is quite high as well as lots of fitness classes take place here. The actual fitness centre is aging with far less machines than Columbia Ice Fields. That being said, the environment is best for varsity athletes, bodybuilders, olympic lifters and powerlifters. The gym has that old school Rocky mentality. A new or casual exerciser would enjoy the CIF much more than the PAC. While there are lots of activities to do here the staff here are hit or miss in terms of their helpfulness. I noticed that the older staff during the day to be quite rude at times and are not welcoming. The student staff are usually quite friendly but are obviously some who are newer and still in training. The trainers at the PAC I have found to show extreme favouritism towards their friends and other gym regulars. For example: the PAC does not allow you to take in any bags, fine. However, trainers who are off duty place all of theirs scattered near the desk, and allow of their friends to do the same. If you're going to do that least put it inside of the office so it's not in everyone's way. Lastly, are also off duty trainers. I encountered one gentleman who was super rude to a newer exerciser. He had left for about 10 min and left all of his weights on the bar in a squat rack. The newer guy went to remove this and start his own workout. Once the trainer returned he aggressively said the following: "that's nice, you can go ahead and put 225 LB back on the bar thanks. Apparently you don't know when weights are on the bar that someone's obviously using it". Okay dude, that may be true but if you leave for 10 minutes don't expect it to still be there for you. Learn some gym etiquette yourself. Okay rant over. TL/DR: lots of variety of activities, old facility (but getting a renovation I believe) and super inconsistent staff.
