Took my vehicle here based on a previous vehicle that was tinted. However, the service and quality this time fell short. I noticed a bubble in my driver door that should have been caught on a quality check before releasing the vehicle to me. I waited to see if the bubble would disappear after the drying process, it did not. I had to contact the business and they were responsive about getting my vehicle back in to fix. I was extremely busy with my work and had to drive 30 mins (without traffic) to the shop so it was a convenient thing to take care off. They replaced my tint once I got there and I had to wait another 3 days to let it cure. I believe they rushed my job and with the price o paid, I could have went more cheaper and locally. Once I did get it fixed, not even an apology or anything said about it..like it never happened. That will be my last vehicle they tint and I will no longer recommend them to others. read more

This would have been an easy 5 stars had he actually listened to me in the beginning. I drove 40 miles from Bowie because I thought Skyline Tint was the best and most professional tint shop in the area. But the foul attitude I got in the end left a lot to be desired. When I walked in the FIRST question he asked me after Make and Model was if I had decided what I wanted. I simply answered "35% all around." He asked me the type and I answered "CTX." Fast forward to the end, and my front is 50% and the back and rear are 35%. When I told him he had made a mistake in the front, he tried to accuse me of asking for the VA legal limit which was false. How is that possible when A) I told exactly what I wanted in the beginning & B) I clearly had Maryland License Plates? This man tried to make me look like a liar as if I would have anything to gain from it. As if I was incapable of remembering exactly what I said to him. When someone is willing to pay $360 for a tint job, they want it done correctly the first time around. Thus, I had done ALL my research and knew exactly what I wanted when I came in. The only thing I was unsure about was the eyebrow tint on the windshield. So now instead of apologizing for not listening, he's visibly upset (very unprofessional) after he just accused me of saying something that never came out of my mouth. At this point I'm willing to come back later for the front to be fixed as long as it's today, because I live 40 miles away. I was not gonna waste gas because HE made a mistake. So he frustratingly says to me "FINE!!! I'll just do it now." At this point, his entire demeanor had changed from mild to hostile. In 15 minutes he had fixed the mistake which was made. This was very interesting to me considering it took them over an hour to tint my Ford Fusion. So now here I am wondering if the front windows were neglected and mishandled the second time around because of a personal vendetta he had against me. So now I'm a bit paranoid. So I guess now I'll just have to wait a few days to see if the job in the front windows was done with tact or neglect. Needless to say, I'm never returning to this establishment again, nor will I recommend it to friends and family. When customers are made to feel as if they're a nuisance just because they demand what they paid for, it's not a good look on the business even if their work is indeed good. Professionalism and Customer Service are everything! And today I paid $369.90 to be accused of lying about what I wanted. Not cool! UPDATE: To Paul's credit, he contacted me the day after I posted this review to apologize for the ways in which he fell short. He explained himself and I understand that we all have our bad days and we're not always 100% at all times. Called in at 0900 (7/1/2022) and Paul said he was full but would call me back if there were any cancels. He called me back about 10 mins later and stated he could squeeze me in at 0930. I requested for my GX460 - IRX (Llumar) 25% for my two front windows and the Airblu80 for my windshield....he and his crew finished in about an hour...........pretty blown away by not only the service but the finished product. Called Skyline to ask if they could remove some poor wrapping on my bike and Paul was able to remove the vinyl wrap and something like plasti dip that was on the bike. I used to get the cheap tint jobs and never knew that those films only provided privacy and didn't block the heat and uv. I had been shopping for paint protection film (PPF) for my Jaguar, and John Lanham (L&M Body Shop) suggested I reach out to Paul at Skyline Tint. Not sure how this place has consistent 5 star reviews but I would not recommend. I've had 5-6 different cars in the last 10 years and all of which have been tinted, this is the worst quality of installation that I've experienced. Took it in to get tinted, picked it up and right off the bat noticed a few bubble/blemish spots, owner said they would go away in a few days. A few days later bubbles/blemishes from dust and particles (not micro but very noticeable grains of dirt/sand) were still there. Called the shop he said come by any day he can fix it right away. I took it back 3 days later, owner saw it, wasn't too happy about it, and told me to make an appointment a week later... so I just wasted an hour out of work to make that drive after I was told to come by "anytime". So I made an appointment for 3pm a week later, arrived promptly to have two left windows installed, and it took him 1.5 hours to do 2 windows while I sat there and waited. At the same time cars that came in after mine for full tints were done before my 2 windows... makes sense since I wasn't paying this 2nd time around I guess. Owner said he redid the front window 3 times and won't be perfect because the car is more than 10 years old... and guess what, it's now worse with a big line across the drive window. Will not ever come back here and going to pay another shop $70 to redo my front window. This place is not worth my time or money. Really upset that I didn't stick to my normal FX tint shop that's I've been going to for last 6-7 years.. shame on me I guess. P.S. if you look at the response from the owner that will give you insight into how the business is ran; calling his customers immature because of a bad review. Just for clarity: 1. I did not pick up your call or chose to have you fix it again b/c I have been to the shop 3 times and it still wasn't done right so why would I waste my time driving there for a 4th time? It is not revenge, it is getting it fixed elsewhere more dependable and moving on. 2. I'm not offended that my car is 10+ years old (b/c I not drive old cars) just surprised that this was the excuse for the poor installation. If after 7 tries you were able to clear the dirt/dust than it means you didn't do it right the 1st 6 times. 3. You've clearly said come by anytime; I remember exactly that I asked you whether I needed an appointment and you said no. This day and age a picture can be sent to show what needs to be repaired and the fact that you asked me to "come by to see what needs to be done" is total BS; what needs fo be done is a re-do of the tint job.
