When we arrived, my husband explained we were a family of five, including our baby who is 9 months old. Instead of simply charging the admission, the man looked at my daughter and said, "Wow, she looks big for 9 months." This was not an innocent observation--it was a shady, backhanded way of suggesting we were lying about her age so he could charge us. For the record, my daughter is absolutely 9 months old--small for her age, no teeth, not walking, sitting in a stroller with a pacifier. His comment was unnecessary, insulting, and immediately set a negative tone. If the policy is that everyone pays--even infants--then state that clearly. Don't make rude remarks about a child's appearance or insinuate dishonesty. I even offered to pay the $6, but instead of being straightforward, he backtracked. For a place that depends on families visiting, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. If you choose to come here, be prepared for a rude encounter before you even get inside. We won't be returning, and I would not recommend this "zoo" to anyone who values basic respect. To the owner: your mouth is bad for your business, friend.

The staff at the course are very friendly and helpful…read more The pro shop is small, but given it is operated by the US Air Force recreation services, I think it is fine, as they can't stock the amount of gear as a commercial golf course or a pricey private course. The course is in good shape, with a nice layout. There are challenges plenty to tackle, although the course is relatively flat due to the local terrain. If you are not affiliated with the US Military, (active, reserve, guard, retired, or civilian employee) you probably can't get on to play unless you come along with someone who is.

Order your item at the cashier and they will call your number to pick up your food. French fries previously fried and refried give a crunchy but blah taste. The man next to me had ordered the pulled BBQ meat sandwich and I could see a huge chunk of meat that looked dried and day(s)-old however I could not confirm it was. The treed grounds in back visible from the dining area was gorgeous and wish it wasn't raining so I could walk about and snap pixs of the gorgeous trees. I would stay away.... a fast-food diner on- or off-base would have been better.
