Very clean restaurant I will give them that. Service was also great very friendly waitress brought us a 3way sample. I have to say that I never put spaghetti in my chili and after this I probably never will. I not a fan of the way dishes to say the least. We did order two coney dogs for 3.05 each and they were very small I did not know they made hotdogs that small (shrinkflation at its finest). Coney dogs with the chili was not bad but chili is made with Greek spices she said and it's good but not something I would return for. Onion rings were very good, garlic bread was good but had a big pile of cheddar cheese that did not melt as it was not spread all around the toast but had good flavor in all. Just because we are not fans don't mean you may not be, it was not bad but not something we would return for just not our taste I guess. Staff was very friendly though and that makes a difference no matter where you go. read more

Mind you, let me preface with I am not a chili fan. I like chili occasionally, but never really a huge fan. I do however like this chili because it is piled high with cheese. And the prices. Can we talk about the prices? It's very easy to get a lot and spend a little. All this stuff and only $25. That's including adding the habanero cheese. Without the fancy cheese it's a bit cheaper. This location is far better than other locations as it is clean and everyone is friendly. My favorite of everything though; the garlic bread. Cheesy, garlic, buttery deliciousness. read more

Skyline Chili - regular three-way - Fast Food Near Me - Ontario, Ohio

This was my first time to a Skyline Chili, as I am from Seattle. I enjoyed that they gave me a sample of the famous 3-way so I could taste the chili and help in deciding what I wanted to get to eat. I liked the sample but wasn't ready to go with noodles yet, so I opted for the cheesy coney. Our waitress let us know that they are pretty small, so I got two cheesy coneys and a side of plain fries. Good call on the two coneys. It was just the right amount. They came with mustard and onions and that added a great cut to the cinnamon in the chili. The fries were hot and crispy. I got a Pepsi and everyone working made sure it was filled. I went with some family around lunch time and it wasn't terribly busy. There were a few tables around with people at them. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Her name tag said Chris and they made our experience more enjoyable with their awesome customer service. The others working today also helped as they made sure our food was hot and fresh and our drinks were full. We will be back here the next time we are visiting family. read more

Skyline is in no way my favorite place to eat, but it is one of my boyfriend's favorite places. I don't like their chili (tastes like cinnamon is in it). I do however like the fact that they do offer "normal" options for people like me who have to suffer and go here with their boyfriend from time to time. I have enjoyed their Greek pasta salad on more than one occasion (my usual go to). This last time we went, I noticed they have added more items to their menu (burgers & chicken fingers). I decided to try the chicken fingers with fries. This is perfect if you have a small appetite. The chicken fingers are small and it came with a small handful of fries. Nothing spectacular taste wise. Just average fingers and fries. Service here has ALWAYS been excellent. read more

I was visiting Ohio from Michigan and even took a special 1 hour trip to this location from Bellevue, through beautiful Amish country because I missed this restaurant! Im originally from Ohio and been hooked on Skyline since the early 2000's. Why can't Michigan have one??? I digress... I had a small bowl of plain meat chili w the extra spicy habenero cheese, one regular coney dog and greek salad. Its never a disappoint! The service was great, and the servers went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted. I even cheated on my keto diet to have some delicious oyster crackers and a hotdog bun. I honestly can't believe I'm giving a Skyline 1 Star, but there is no way around it. Just bad food and service, didn't bring me my drink until I asked for it after I got my food, watery chili, pieces of bean and onion in my 3 way, horrible tasting Mountain Dew which I complained about, nothing was changed with it and I was brought the same undrinkable crap. I had been up since 5am, fished all day, and came in to eat at 8pm after not eating all day, so they would have had to work pretty hard to get a bad review from me, especially serving me my comfort food meal, and they did. The only other really bad experience I've had at a Skyline, and it wasn't this bad, was at a Skyline in Louisville, so I would swear off skyline outside of Cincinnati altogether, except I've had Skyline at a few different locations in Florida and it was on point. To be fair, the waitress seemed new so I obviously still tipped her, but there is no excuse for the food! I didn't have the energy to go through all this when asked how my meal was, but I cannot in good conscience allow this terrible misrepresentation of Cincinnati chili go unaddressed. I did mention the bad Mountain Dew however, her response was, "Yeah I flushed the lines and everything but it still tasted the same, I don't know what the problem is, but yeah I agree it tastes bad." Chili , served multiple ways , as a soup , as a salad topping , as a hot dog sauce , as a top dressing on pasta And in every imaginable way possible is the highlight of this well attended restaurant . Burritos , chillitos , salads , wraps , coneys , various styles of potatoes , and black beans and rice , fill out the balance of the menu . The usual variety of Soft drinks and coffee are the liquid refreshments offered . This well appointed restaurant is modern in design and spotlessly clean . Servers are cordial and quick with drink refills . This location is across the street from a large Meijers retail store , and several other franchise restaurant locations like IHOP , CiCIs , Starbucks , O'Charlies , munchies , Panera and other popular brands . Yay! Skyline! One of my Mom's favorite places, we stopped on the way home from the Haunted Prison in Mansfield nearby. Really, we hadn't been to a member of this chain since the location in Bowling Green closed (no shock given the service!) so we were quite excited. Didn't disappoint. Service here gets major props. It was very late when we came in and clean up prep was starting, but we were met with a friendly face offering us a sample of the famous chili-on-noodles (oh that cinnamon makes such a delicious difference). They did then get a bit busy getting ready to shut up (we didn't feel rushed to leave, though mind you) and the server didn't check back for a while. Being a rather casual atmosphere, I decided to just go over and ask for a refill (after all, she had told us to holler if we needed anything :) ). The lady was super nice about it, and very friendly, so, no problems there. As to food, after much deliberation, I ordered a dish that consisted of 3 of the skyline dogs topped with the chili and cheese - my Mom got her favorite - the classic three way. Both were very good (though I confess it's hard to make three hotdogs in chili look particularly appetizing, and I wasn't so sure I liked the texture - will definitely order noodles next time). For about $5 for each plate, the portions were more than adequate, and we both left feeling perfectly stuffed. Someone with a "Hungry man" appetite should be sure to order the large version where such is available. The cheese-bread we ordered - thick slabs of texas toast smothered in cheddar - helped with that. Chewy, slightly sweet, and just a bit crispy, the two pieces of the order made a nice accompaniment. The environs were in good shape. We both really enjoyed some of the pictures on the wall depicting historical events in the city - including a massive blizzard my mother remembered from her childhood. Three words... 4 way-onion! Spaghetti, chili, onions, and a mountain of cheddar cheese!!!! The chili has a very unique flavor. Almost a cinnamon taste to it, which I believe is actually all-spice. But it's great, and addicting none the less. I had to order my 4 Way with light onion and half cheese. I mean they just pile the stuff on like there is no end. I found that too much onion and cheese detracted from the amazing flavor of the chili. But that's just my preference. Yours may be different. The Coney's are pretty good too, albeit, small. I have never seen this location packed, but it does get busy. Service is always good. On my first visit the young lady that was my server explained in detail all about the "Ways" and what they meant. She even brought me a sample. That was the clincher, it was GOOD! Only complaint is that it can be a bit messy. Uncleaned tables. Food on the floor. Especially after a visit by a bunch of lil ones. But that isn't enough to keep me away. Just wish that they kept on it a bit more. I've been in when it's been slow and they have left several messy tables and floors from the time I walked in till I left. About 45 minutes. Unfortunately, I have heard other customers comments in regards to it as well and it wasn't favorable. I even watched 4 people get up after a brief conversation about it. If you're travelling the Lincoln Highway and want some truly regional food, try Skyline. This chain is pretty much the benchmark for Cincinnati Chili. I was already familiar with this unique style of chili, but this is the first time I actually sat down in a restaurant in Ohio to have it. It did not disappoint! The chili is sweet, fragrant, and mildly spicy (which can be heightened with their own brand of hot sauce.) Keep in mind this is a very unique brand of chili. If you are not from Ohio, it will not match your expectations. It's served over spaghetti with a generous portion of cheddar cheese, adding onions or kidney beans as options. Do not let this deter you from trying some, as it's delicious and amazingly filling! To top all this off, the staff at this particular location was some of the friendliest I've encountered anywhere! So willing to explain exactly what their chili is, provide samples, and make you feel entirely welcome. Approach with no preconceived notion of what chili should be, and leave happy. read more

I love Skyline, with all my heart n soul. No menu no time needed just ready everytime. But yall. This place was filthyyyyyyy. We walked in and were greeted by this half blonde of the brain brunette, who caught a rough attitude when my friend asked what she'd said, which was just telling us to have a seat where ever, ya know. My friend asked what she said and this girl I kid you not, wrinkles her nose and aggressivly repeats herself. THEN Girl comes over to the table and hands us 3 menus, like we hadn't established we'd only need the 2 for them. Asks what they want for drinks immediately, which is abnormal for restaurants n she didn't really give an option to wait? So my friends panic and one of them gets stuck with a drink she doesn't even likeeeee. She makes me wait till after she brings our drink to even ask for hotsauce for my crackers im handed when we sit down. Then puts our order in n does something else before she brings it overrr. THEN girl gets mad cause FRIEND WANTS THE CHEESECAKE AFTER WE EATTTTTTT. Which was super off textured n gross btw. Obviosuly talkin trash with her home girl too, not even slick.. I've been told this is an acquired taste. I had the classic with beans. It was okay. I ate mot of it so it was not bad but having checked this box I don't have a reason to return. Best thing was the friendliness of the staff. Tried to use Apple Pay to check out but they said it sometimes worked and sometimes did not. I have stopped at this location several times. I usually get a big Greek salad and a potato. I'm actually not a super fan of the chili here - nothing bad about it but my my favorite style . The service is spectacular at this location. Hopefully you get the older lady who works here, she is one of those rarities that appears to love her job and is just so damn friendly you want to come back. Haven't been to this Skyline for a while but always liked the service and food. Noticed that there had been some updating and new menu choices. Food was ok, the new Mac n Cheese is not good and it was served barely warm. Coneys are still great! The sad thing is service. Very slow and the workers seemed more concerned with conversations with coworkers rather than customers. Sadly, we will not be back, there are too many other places to eat that appreciate their customers. read more

I live in Cincinnati, the home of Skyline Chili. I have been to dozens of locations. Originally from Mansfield, I visited there over Christmas with my son and nephew. It was AMAZINGLY! The chili had a great flavor (there are variations in locations). The hot dog was fresh and not rubbery like some places. And they have beer! Megan was a great server and manager (Roxanne?) was friendly and was in her final week, ready to retire after 17 years. read more

Skyline Chili in Mansfield, OH To be honest, I wasn't impressed at all. The only other time I have eaten at Skyline was at the original location in Cincinnati, like 3 decades+ ago. I ordered a three-way regular size and it was served almost immediately, barely had time to think about it. Right away I was not pleased with the serving, it had LOTS of cheese on top(they're not stingy) About four times what I would have used( I know many people would like this situation) Nobody asked about preference in this. This is just my personal feeling. Next, the spaghetti was over cooked, in a fast food place this isn't surprising, it's hard to avoid this type of thing. Most importantly, either they didn't properly drain the pasta, or the chili was very thin, resulting in a watery/soupy mix of pasta and chili. VERY substandard. Lastly, although they used lots of shredded cheese, they cheaped out on the serving size of the rest of the dish. I would have thought that the cheese was more expensive than the pasta/chili(maybe not?). Now, Good things! The place was clean and spacious. The waitress was pleasant and quick. Overall, I won't be back, I would have spent about the same at McDs and been happier with the result. Doesn't say much for Skyline. read more

The atamospher of this place is terrible. We went there to have some food, since we were new costumers we told we'd be given a sample of there cincinatai 5 way despite our protest of not wanting said sample. The chilli was aweful, it tases like the bad canned chilli you get for coney dogs at the store. Infact I am pretty sure I've had the brand at the store. It was also very runny and watery. One waitress took our drink orders, while another took our food orders. The second waitress has to take our drink orders a second time to get our drinks right. I ordered hot tea, all that arrived with that was the tea bag and water, there was no offer of lemon or sugar. I actually had to ask twice for the sugar. The first time I asked she took the order then immedately went to another table and got there drinks before she finally came back and asked me what I wanted again. Took me another 10 whole minutes after i ask for it the first time just to get my sugar which was less the 20 steps away from the table. When the food finally arrived it wasnt much better, I had orded a chicken wrap. it was horribly dripping with sauces all down my hand and plate. My friends food wasnt much better either. During our food session a waitress came over and asked us if vaccuming on the other side of the resturant would desturb us. We said no, this activity should be reserved for closing the restruant, not when customers are there. I highly doubt I will go back, the staff was incompentent as it too 3 people to process our food orders, two of which were servers, and the food was terrible. To add insult to injury, we were unable to leave right away as we had to take bags of sample crackers and a coupon for coming back, neither of which we wanted. read more
