skyline chili no beans, cheese or onions
    Deke M.

This experience was somewhere between "meh" and "ok". I was curious so went for lunch. I wanted a quick grab and got a waitress who wanted to play 20 questions beyond "basic cup of chili to go". No cheese, no onions, no beans, smallest chili, no sides, no combos. She still threw hot sauce packets into the order. That was my first turn-off. Parking was 2nd-crowded, small area. I tried the "chili" in the car-it was very ground and soupy, not a pleasant experience. and not how I grew up on chili. Once and done. No relatable nostalgia for me.

5 way chili - small - add beans & onions. Before adding toppings, the chili/beans was ~8 oz.

The chili has no beans in it, so with 5-way, you add beans and onions. The portion is small, but I'm sure will be filling. The guy asked me if I wanted to try a sample and it was flavorful, very thin, mildly spicy, but it makes sense to add lots more to it to customize it to your liking. The service was very attentive and friendly. This seems kind of like fast food to me. This is at the end of a strip mall. As I mentioned with this being more of a fast food place; that is the dining type of experience to expect. I definitely do not miss my road warrior days, being in airports, hotels, having to order every meal in a rush....I don't eat at fast food restaurants pretty much almost 100%. Either way, if you do go here, be careful driving into the parking lot because there is a steep dip...Also, just to save time and hassle, I would eat there because there was a lot of assembly involved. Once I got it assembled having added all 7 hot sauce packets (each has a droplet of hot sauce in them, but it tastes super good/red tabasco peppers are used - I love Tabasco sauce, but surprisingly enough I never knew there was a pepper with that name!). The to go bag included the freshly grated cheese of which I only used about 1/3. I added the oyster crackers, and salt and freshly cracked pepper. It also had fork, knife, lots of napkins. I am not a huge fan of fast food dining atmospheres, but I can see how some people may get a craving for this meal. I did get the small & it was my first meal of the day & it was pretty filling. I would like to try the burritos or other items. The heat has been a killer, so I'm becoming less interested in cooking meals these days also due to pain level. I went here because it is very close to ProScan MRI where I went again.

Skyline is a slice of heaven for me and everyone should grab a quick bite, if they have the chance! Directly from Cincinnati, Ohio, Skyline is on every street corner in every town and this is a perfect reminder of that. Although the chili tastes slightly different, it is still excellent. Definitely get a three-way if you're a newcomer to Skyline. This is a perfect start to the chili spaghetti combination...and that mound of cheese does not disappoint. If you're a bean or onion lover, you can add those on, but, a simple three-way is a great start. If you're not into Cincinnati style chili, I recommend the cheese potato. Again, you can't go wrong with a mound of that perfectly shredded cheese. It's probably the reason to keep coming back!!

I head a lot about this place and decided to try it after seeing a Groupon. However, it was a disappointment. First, I had to rush there because they close super early on Saturday. Second, the hot dogs were very small with mostly cheese. Then, I got the potato with chili but it was blend and not much chili on top at all. We were not impressed with the food. Maybe chili cheese fries would have been a good idea.

Skyline cheese coney, oyster crackers, and hot sauce - what a perfect combo!

Pretty good burger. For those who like to drink under a thatched roof outside, there is a tikki hut. The establishment's motif is all over the map. But let's just stay with the island theme in Naples, FL. Would I go back again? I don't know, I have had this book marked, and I have eaten at another of their establishments, Sonny's. While scrolling through some of the photos and reviews, I saw the stuff French toast and I was immediately in! We came on a Saturday morning and they were busy enough but not packed. We asked for their first available, which was outside. During summer it's a bit of a risk to sit outdoors, but it was in a covered area. They have a little side patio area, but a lot of the outdoor tables are randomly placed up against the building and in the walkway to accommodate additional guests. It's kind of weird when people that live in the building walk by as the walkways aren't very wide. The inside area of the restaurant is not very large. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Even if she did spill a bit of coffee on me which she was apologetic for. My husband got the crab cake Benedict and I got the strawberry stuffed French toast. Absolutely loved everything! My husband's only note was that he did not like the corn inside crab cake. The cheesy hash browns were definitely a hit for us! The stuffed French toast was divine - basically desert! I like that the dish also came with eggs and bacon! The iced coffee was pretty good as well. Overall, this was a great experience with the exception of the weird outside seating arrangement. 8/10 recommend!

Tragic. Food and drinks? Excellent across the board. Major shout-out to Ashley behind the bar -- absolute pro -- though honestly the entire bar staff deserves applause. Watching the bartenders run the room is like watching a choreographed ballet. They somehow keep a mental spreadsheet of the waitlist, open seats, timing, and guest flow, seamlessly slotting people in without chaos or drama.
