Very good breakfast. Wife and I both had the pancakes which were delectable with melted butter. Also tried biscuits and gravy (gravy has chunks of sausage in it)-yummy and very hearty. Exactly what you would expect from a small diner: food, atmosphere, etc. We showed up at 1:55 and they closed at 2:00. They didn't turn us away or act like we were a burden.. they were friendly and cooked us some DELICIOUS burgers. They don't accept cards though, bring cash. So many memories from our Changing of Colors Rally...the biggest being how all the local merchants were "ready" for the thousands who rode into town on their motorcycles. Excellent fast and efficient service for our group of 12. Especially since we were walk ins at 12:15 pm when they already had a nice crowd.

The house omelet is the best omelet i have ever eaten. The Bisquits are delicious, huge, and fluffy.

The staff is always nice the food is fast but it's always kind of blah to me. Once I was going to order something and the waitress told me that was too much. I was going to order a tall stack of pancakes and she told me I needed a short stack. I felt embarrassed so that's what I ordered and I left still hungry. I will eat there again I am sure. read more

Found this great cafe while on vacation in Mena. Ate breakfast every morning before making our motorcycle rides to see all the beautiful country in the area. Miss Tammy has to be without a doubt the best waitress we have ever had! Food was great, service excellent and very reasonable prices. We visited Mena while traveling on our honeymoon. This is a small local eatery with a true home town atmosphere. It's busy and the servers are attentive. Our meal took a bit too long to arrive but the waitress was very apologetic. The meal was pretty good. We didn't like the potato cakes though. Not what we were expecting. The biscuits are great though. All in all it's a pretty good place to eat. read more

My Husband and I went here for breakfast because it seemed to have good reviews. I told my Husband that nobody can mess up breakfast. Well, it was mediocre. He ordered scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns and bacon. He said the eggs were hard and looked and tasted like McDonalds eggs. Bacon was crisp and hash browns were decent. What really ticked him off is when the waitress finally came back to check on us, he asked for a water refill. She took his glass and went to the back and returned about 5 minutes later with a refill, only after he watched her fix a few other drinks, including one for herself... and didn't seem to be in any hurry. We left and he ended up going across the way to a gas station to get one of their biscuits, if that tells you anything. We can't stand wasting time and money going to a place with such good reviews only to be disappointed. read more

Everything tastes like... bacon. Which is ok, I guess, if you don't want your eggs to taste like eggs, your pancakes to taste like pancakes, and anything else you could want to taste like itself. This could be avioded if the grill were separated into stations. Egg here, hashbrowns there, etc. This everything-tasting-like-bacon thing is a big BIG problem if you don't eat pork product in any form - and there's quite a few of us in town who do not do that whether it's being a vegitarian or for religious reasons. read more

Mom and Pop restaurant at it's finest. The food is great. Try their wonderful salad bar, or go for a giant hamburger. The French Dips are made with slow cooked roast beef and home made au jus. Open face roast beef is moist and flavorful. You can't go wrong with breakfast, whether it's pancakes, eggs, or french toast. Bacon is cooked to order and actually comes out as ordered. Ask about the specials, they are always good. And Sassy waitresses! I laugh every time I go in. If you visit Mena don't forget to stop here. One word of advice, bring cash.
