They refuse to go their assigned properties if they are in "questionable" neighborhoods. There is zero communication and zero accountability. Upper management does nothing to discipline them. Properties are leaving in droves. New billing system is a nightmare. Implementation was poorly planned. Residents are upset with restrictions on paying their bills. Billing calls go unanswered as do emails. Properties have no money to pay bills and it's because residents can't pay their bills and Garthchester doesn't collect on bad debtors. Agenda driven group in control of things, if they don't like you you're out or at least ostracized. Terrible culture, no professionalism. They talk a good game but it is all lip service. Stay away.

Multiple professionals--including our mortgage broker, financial advisor, and real estate agent--confirmed we were fully qualified to purchase. From the start, the process was a nightmare. After submitting our application on July 2nd (which took hours of careful preparation), we heard nothing from Dawn Martin for nearly a month. When we followed up, she falsely claimed she had responded earlier--a claim that no one on our email chain ever received. This delay caused unnecessary stress for us and the sellers. Throughout, we remained respectful and cooperative, despite her mistakes. When the co-op board began questioning our finances, we provided everything asked of us, all of which checked out. Later, we disclosed that both my husband and I have legitimate psychiatric service animals, supported by official documentation from our doctors. Shortly afterward, we were abruptly rejected without even being granted an interview--under the vague excuse of "financial reasons." It was clear to us and to every professional involved that this was not about finances at all. It was about discriminating against us because of our service animals, which is a violation of the ADA. To cover themselves, they hid behind a false financial pretext. In the end, Stillman took $3,000 from us, strung us along for over three months, wasted our time while we're preparing to welcome a baby, and deprived the seller of a fair and willing buyer. This process was corrupt, dishonest, and discriminatory. I strongly urge anyone considering working with Stillman to think twice.

More rusty pieces fell off last week or two and they never replied my emails. This is what you will be dealing with if you have them manage your property. Consider twice before hire them. Update: our monthly fee has been increased by 30% since they've managed our building. In addition, we've been paying for assessment 2 years consecutively without seeing what major projects have been implemented nor knowing what future projects are planned with estimates. The communication with this company is opaque and they've been acting very shady.

They are always defensive because they do not maintain the properties. We had a huge unexplained overage on a large construction project that the owners had to pay. Nardo didn't seem competent to work with us on such a big project and our Board didn't have the expertise either. Lost common charges checks routinely. When question about balances due, I know several owners that said Nardo insisted they hadn't received payments and had to retract their allegation when the tenant provide proof of all payments. Sounds pretty shady! Who needs that stress and work in their life!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. They are unresponsive, make you regret living where they manage the property, and you will always question whether they stole money from the HOA or not.
