However, after our first meeting to discuss the windows and a quote was provided a lot of the skepticism went away. Our concerns were even addressed by the owner Jonathan, by a personal phone call. We could tell both the salesman Ruston as well as the owner were genuine. That meant a lot after many other companies came out to meet and provide quotes. First Choice was able to provide a reasonable, affordable option for better quality windows. They were less costly than so many window companies but able to provide the benefits in windows we were looking for in a great quality. Changing over from aluminum windows to vinyl windows we had concerns about some of the changes in thickness, but the team did a great job and properly installing without them impacting the look, inside or out. They look so much better than before and we love the different options in grid choices! The install team worked well as a team and did a phenomenal job, cleaning up well before they left. We are incredibly thankful we decided to use First Choice and definitely will recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. We feel that due to the 400 lb weight of the glass window, it was due to the placing of it on the ledge during install. They denied this and denied even fixing it, as the contract states damage in any way to the frame is not their responsibility. This was not going to accomplish anything arguing with them about, so this is just a clear warning to all considering such a large purchase.

So we started the process of shopping around for replacement windows last year and interviewed many vendors. we were quoted and listened to many sales people about their products and installations. We narrowed it down to three vendors and brought the sales people back in for a final presentation and quote. Larry Bindel, the owner of First Place Windows, was not only the most thorough but he was also the nicest guy we talked with and he delivered a professional quote. His price was not the lowest but my wife and I liked him and his delivery and we spoke w a few of his customers. We believed and had it proven that Larry really loves his customers and does right by them. Our windows came in when he said they would and the windows were installed from 1:30-6:30 the afternoon we set up. His installers, 2 guys, worked in the heat and did a great job. They laid plastic over everything nearby before they started and then cut the two large windows out and replaced the old with the new. They caulked around the new windows and cleaned up the mess and left. Larry and his son were there also to oversee the job being done. The new windows let no heat in and we cannot even hear our water fountain against the window. The difference is incredible! Silence is golden. Lol. Plus the windows that Larry installs have a much lower bottom window than the other windows we looked at. We liked this because u can see much more. I believe like 85% more. The other windows seemed to be more 60/40 where u could not see as much. Anyway, we loved Larry and his team, the windows, the service and clean installation and very quite and professional manner. Apparently I had…read morereceived defective carpet, so it would pull out easily and also the carpet had a pattern stain that you could clearly see once vacuumed. It also had several gaps where the seams met. The installers assured me this was normal and that the seams would fade. I was shocked considering the price we paid for the carpet. Also, I asked a few experts in the area and they also agreed this was not correct at all. Well two weeks later and it honestly looked worse. So I called them back. They "fixed" the seams they said and left. I didn't have a chance to look before they left as I was on a work call. I checked shortly after and same deal. I ended up calling my project manager at Sunn and she came right out to check. Well lo and behold, she immediately could tell something was wrong even though the installers assured me twice that everything was ship shape. She had me send over a piece of the carpet to get tested by the vendor. That ended up being about a one month waiting period. The vendor got back to me and agreed that the carpet was defective and offered a full replacement at zero charge. They were extremely compassionate and empathetic, so it made me feel much better since the installers made me feel like I was going nuts. So we got the second install done on the carpet and it is MUCH better. There are still issues at a couple seams, so I am not 100% thrilled. But it did take care of the major issues we had. To be honest, I was pretty surprised the whole time that the GM or owner of Sunn carpet didn't follow up on this at all. The only thing that saved them from a one star review was their project manager to be honest. So I am so appreciative of her help in all of this. But I do think that better quality control would help this company a lot. Also, a follow-up after install to ensure customer satisfaction should be standard. But it is what it is. I would be a bit hesitant to use them for my next fooring project given the circumstances. But at least it wasn't left in the state of the first install. DM me if you would like the first or second install pics. If I posted the first install pics here I think it would severely hurt this business, so I refrained from that.

From foundation to the conventional stick framed construction, the home was properly constructed and code compliant. They even got the property drainage right and our foundation has performed flawlessly. To who it concerns at USA Restoration Pros: Please send out a crew to finish the clean up from the roof replacement that was finished on 5/28/25. I have received complaints from neighbors about the debris and I had to purchase a magnet broom to clean up the nails to be able to use my yard or driveway. Since the tarp with the tiles and debris remained on my lawn for nearly a week during a heat wave, large parts of my lawn have died. During the repairs, one of my string LED lights was destroyed, plants were damaged and the outdoor weather electrical outlets were left open which tripped the GFCI. After I filled a garbage can with roofing tiles following neighbor complaints on June 1st, your crew did pick up the tarps and the remaining tiles however a significant amount of trash and equipment, including nails,drip edge, ladders, gloves, coffee cups, etc., still remain. Further, I had to repair my fence panels and gate that were dismantled by your crew. The gate was dismantled because I was not informed of the start date of the repair or asked to unlock the gates until after repairs began. All gates were left open by your crew following the repairs. Richard has stated that the window screens for the final repairs will take 2 to 3 weeks to fabricate however this is an unacceptable amount of time to wait for the clean up. Please inform me when a clean up crew will be able to stop by and I will unlock the gate.

JD Metal roofing made a great impression from the start when the owner came out and did an estimate. He wasn't doing any song and dance, didn't promise the sky (like other roofing companies who told me of their practices which would have been in my favor but seemed borderline fraudulent) and the estimate was reasonable. I really researched the subject thoroughly and they were my top pick. I should add, it wasn't the last time we saw the owner, he also came out from time to time to check on the job. Throughout the process they were easy to stay in communication with (John Jr) and helped me with paperwork I needed for the insurance company and for the then available tax credit. They seemed to treat their crew well like human beings and I think that comes through in the quality of the details. They did the work on time, for the estimated price and were pleasant to deal with. What more can you ask for? We're pleased with our energy savings, the look and that someday we may be able to put solar panels on it. Also look forward to not havng to pay a deductible every time it hails hard. I stay in contact with them once in a while and just appreciate their being 'salt of the earth' kind of people.
