I've been coming to Inspiration Studios for many years now, and it's one of my favorite places to…read moretrain and unwind. They offer both Pole and Aerial classes, each with their own vibe and energy. Pole classes are held in Suite N and tend to have a bolder, more expressive atmosphere. Aerial classes are in Suite O and are usually calmer and more focused on flow and form. Make sure you head to the correct suite depending on your class. When you arrive, just check in with the instructor, or follow the lead of others in the room. Some instructors like to check everyone in personally, while others are more casual about it. It's a no-shoes kind of space. For Aerial, you're usually barefoot or in socks. For Pole, you're either barefoot or in heels depending on the class. I've taken a variety of classes over the years, but these days I'm more focused on Aerial. I especially want to shout out KC, who is my favorite instructor. She's clear, encouraging, and just a great teacher overall. Her classes are the perfect mix of supportive and challenging, and I always leave feeling stronger and more confident. I've been a student since the studio was called Poletential, back when it was under different ownership. It's been great to see the space evolve while still staying a welcoming and empowering place to train.

My friend and I came here for a static trapeze class this past weekend on a Friday evening…read more The location is a little tucked away in the center of a business plaza but we both got here early and there's plenty of parking around so wasn't an issue. We were both complete beginners to trapeze so it was going to be an experience to start. I think overall it was very interesting and the other people who were in the class were definitely expert level including our instructor who was absolutely phenomenal in perfecting his craft. I think there were a few drawbacks that would prevent us from coming back here which include: 1) The instructor got quite frustrated/visibly upset at us when I fell after trying to balance myself. It was a bit odd because as beginners, we're there to learn, make mistakes and build confidence especially in an environment completely new for the both of us. We felt like it was unprofessional side and both def felt discouraged even though we laughed it off in person. We are both grew up in the dance community, so we know how toxic it can be to have teachers like this who react out of frustration vs support but we're not children anymore who are actively trying to hurt ourselves. I think it's entirely possible for this place to enforce safety without snapping at or shaming students. 2) This place COVID vaxx checks still. My friend and I have no issue with showing this as we're we've both got this done plus boosters since the start of the pandemic. It's a business' respective choice to ask for this 100% but it did feel a little outdated given it's the Summer of 2025 and we both haven't had to show proof of this in over 3 years. I'm still glad we tried this together and though we will likely never come back, I hope future classes foster a more positive and welcoming tone, especially for first-timers!

They have a number of different classes and you can cross train as much as you want! I have found joy in trying new apparatuses and challenging my body in different ways! Start with the 1 class package to see if you enjoy it - but once i did 1 class i was addicted! I easily do 3/4 classes a week! BE WARNED - you will get bruises and be sore, but its one of the most rewarding experiences ever! All the teachers are wonderful! Celeste is my go to lyra hoop teacher. Jen, Jenn, Christina, Amy are my go to pole teachers now that im more advanced! Mei is my favorite beginner pole teacher and now teaches mostly at the new SJ location. Lisa, Debbie and Jen also have amazing heels choreo classes! Andy is my chair/sensual heels teacher and always brings the heat! Cindy and Rissa will get you flexible in no time! And Luna is an amazing hammocks teacher and performer! Jen fosters a welcoming community and truly cares about each student that comes through the studio. She runs the studio more like a friend group that fosters encouragment and positivty throughout the business.

I love coming here for the art, the comraderie of the staff and the clients are full of love, hugs and joy! I have bought art there, I have bought jewelry there, and we went to NYC to be present with one of their artists who had a piece in the Whitney Bienniel! I was hired to be the personal secretary to Dr. Katz who founded Creative Growth in Oakland, Creativity Explored in San Francisco, and Creativity Unlimited in San Jose (I believe they closed a while back). I was at the first conference of Art and Disabilities held at the center with representatives from the four centers and others. Some came as far away as Canada and Minnesota. At that time, Creative Growth was the star of the group and we all aspired to have their success. Well, NIAD has found it. The idea for the center started after the mental health facilities in CA were closed by Ronald Reagan. But before the closure, Florence, his wife and artist, would drive up with art supplies so that the people could create art. A lot of the clients were relocted to the bay area and he opened the center for them to create art. Eli was passionate about the clients and felt that they had a right to create and he created a center where that's possible. I'm sure that he is beaming over everything that NIAD has become - an inclusive, welcoming place where artists get a chance for creative expression and can earn money from what they make. Good job for keeping it up guys!
