This was a last minute decision for me. Someone bailed and I went instead. There loss my gain!!! The most exhilarating experience of my life.....so far. Chris was great!! I HIGHLY recommend skydive Newport. You WONT be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing experience all around! The owner and staff were great to work with and so knowledgeable with years and years of experience. This was our first time skydiving and we cannot wait to jump again! Definitely recommend the photo package. Photos were already in our inbox before we got home and were fantastic. THANK YOU!!!

    Wow. Just wow.

Beautifully kept airport. Super friendly and very informative staff. My tandem was Eric. It was my first jump and it was absolutely gorgeous. Never thought flying would be twice as blissful as it is frightening at first!

This was the most amazing experience of my life! The instructors were so great and Eric was the nicest and coolest guy ever! He had me hooked and I will be back asap! They even gave me information on how I can learn to do this on my own! This was absolute euphoria and no drug any person could ever take will ever match this feeling! Please go!

I cannot describe how amazing these people are I would definitely do it again the experience was unbelievable

Skydive Newport is a great place for beginner-level tandem skydiving. My friend and I had an easy time booking a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of our jump, and the experience day of went smoothly as well. My friend was an extremely nervous first timer, and her tandem partner Nicky was definitely instrumental in making her feel safe and comfortable with her jump and was very personable and chatty in the plane. The pricing here is slightly higher but comparable to nearby competitors. A student discount (currently about $20) is also available with an ID and you pay in cash. For those with their own photography equipment, I would recommend verifying if it's allowed b/c I was told on the phone that they have a policy of requiring rental of their own equipment for safety/liability reasons (thus they are more strict than some other places that I've been to when it comes to using your own equipment and costs would increase for you if you elect for a photo/video package). In addition, for those that are more advanced adventure seekers or have more experience skydiving, the planes they have (Cessna 182 planes with wing extensions) allow for causing altitude of around 20,000 feet total, but the standard skydive here is made at 10,000 ft altitude of which 5000 ft is free fall (around 45 seconds total, but my friend said it felt like 5 minutes since she was so nervous). This jumping altitude is pretty standard from all the places nearby I've checked out, and if you want to jump from a higher altitude, I'd recommend finding out prior if they would allow it (I know I will for my next dive). Overall, even with the slightly higher price, we're glad we chose Skydive Newport. The instructors have a lot of safety credentials and diving experience and honestly, the views of Newport can't be beat. Skydive Newport is unique in the immediate area in that most of the other competitors jump from landlocked areas whereas Skydive Newport has the advantage of all the beautiful mixed land/water terrain. I wouldn't hesitate booking here again.

Absolutely awesome. Great staff. I am terrified of heights, but I felt safe and in good hands.

    Very excited!

My dad had taken my son ziplining 2 weeks prior and after that amazing day he said, "How would Jacob feel about jumping out of an airplane?" I talked it over with Jacob and he was excited to go do anything Papa wanted to do. Unfortunately, age requirements leave him waiting 4 more years for his first jump, and I plan on taking him for his 18th bday. (If he still wants to go.) I thought to myself, Why does my dad want to do all the fun stuff with Jacob?! So I said, "Whats the matter, you don't want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane with a 40 year old?" The next message I got was, "Thursday morning, 10am, Mom and I will meet you at The Boston Skydive Center." After nervously reading through and signing all the forms online, we were good to go. When we arrived the weather was damn near perfect. Everyone who works there was so amazing. Checking in was super easy. They were extremely thorough with the instructions and made sure you felt safe and educated about skydiving every step of the way. On the walk to the airplane we did a little pre interview and went over the events that were about to take place one last time. Then, with a high five and thumbs up we were on the plane. The views while getting up to altitude were absolutely beautiful. It was such a peaceful ride. Getting ready to actually jump out of the plane was terrifying, but what are you really gonna do when you're already halfway out of the plane?? JUMP!!! It was the most insane feeling I've ever experienced. The views were even more breathtaking, and from up there, the world looked perfect. We jumped with two of the best, Boris and Ratin. Couldn't have asked for two better guys. (For multiple reasons ) The videos and still pictures they got were phenomenal and I am so impressed that they can video like that, multiple times a day, while jumping out of a plane when I could barely keep my eyes open from the wind. A core memory was made that day, not only from the jump with my dad, but also from seeing his video and the pure, whole hearted happiness that was written all over his face. Made my heart smile. Thank you for making this day so memorable for my Dad and I. It is one I will NEVER forget.

My companions and I were treated wonderfully from start to finish. Everybody is really nice and accommodating. They make first timers feel at ease, and explain everything multiple times, so that you'll know what to do. Our scheduled jump time had to be rescheduled, because of a nearby presidential visit and a no fly restriction after a certain hour. Skydive Danielson reached out to us the day before, and worked with us to find an earlier time that worked for us. Even though the cause of the delay was beyond their control, they took it upon themselves to find a way to accommodate everybody. The jump itself was an unforgettable experience. My instructor was excellent, and made me feel very at ease. If you're debating whether or not to spring for the photo and / or video packages, DO IT! You'll always have a really cool keepsake and proof that you're a total badass who jumps out of a perfectly good plane at 14,000 feet! What are your waiting for? Book your jump!

Turns out the Duck Tours were tours in semi-aquatic buses that mix history, jokes, and sightseeing. We also got to go into the water and folks took turns driving the duck boat. What was delightful about our tour was our captain who entertained us with magic tricks, punny jokes, dad jokes, and history. We quacked at passerbys, other duck tours, recent graduates, kids in hi-vis vests. He pointed out the marines organized in a park with the Osprey and other planes. I left my knowledge of American history in elementary school, so everything was super fascinating to me. I thought my honey would enjoy this being a historian and all but he didn't care for the jokes, which I thought were the best part. Oh well. Worth a tour when you're in the Boston area!

Our host boasted over 4000 duck boat tours, and I certainly didn't question his knowledge of Boston's history. However, I wish we heard more of the history he was clearly an expert on. Most of what I remember from the tour is him going on with personal anecdotes, telling stories that sounded made up, and interacting with a large family on board. I'm sure that family had a memorable and special experience, but for everyone on the other end of the many, many times he stopped to talk and joke with that group, we felt like outsiders. We felt downright ignored a couple times- once he asked if anyone was celebrating anything, I raised my hand to say it was my fiancé's birthday, but he once again fixated on the group he had a report with. The same thing happened when he allowed a group to drive the boat on the river, we volunteered but no use. For the steep price, I just think there are better ways to learn the history and see the city. However, the sunset view of the river is pretty.
