I like this school love teachers help me with stuff I need help with and my needs I am a formal sixth grader first year at the school. The school is pretty fun however there's a lot of school drama like fights in cyberbullying and the counselors are amazing and they help you with everything. I wish that lunch could be longer, but classes are usually 40 minutes early release 30 minutes if you are reading this and planning to go to sky Ridge I recommend you going. The staff barely answers the phone with children behind the desk. Mostly women and feels strange. They have been extremely rude, and I hope this year is different. They do favor passing students and treat struggling students differently. And I see they've paid google to stop the reviews. Absolutely. Disgusting and sad that they can not look upon the vibe They have created. Interesting, there are no google reviews. It's very strange for a local school in Sparks nevada. great local school for the thousands moving here. has a nice cali like curriculum, short hours, lots of recreation time, focuses on rallies and current political climates. many young teachers, lot's of fund raisers to purchase materials. lack of dress codes is a strong plus, no worries about what to wear or not wear. read more

The teachers are horrible. The office is run by children who just sit on their phones and not let anyone in when the weather is at freezing. Mrs tossava is the worst teacher out of all of them. If you get her, CHANGE CLASSES. If you get in the smallest bit of trouble, the teachers send you to the tiniest room with nothing but a desk and chair. They give you no work, and no phones. You just need to wait for the dean to talk to you, which can take TWO PERIODS. The counselors are fine, but if you tell them about something, it gets to everyone in the school. If you are willing to go through actual hell incarnate, then this school is for you. Otherwise, stay far away. read more

Anybody who says that this is a great school is one of the preferred students who the admins like. This school put me through hell. Everything about reporting bullying or something to the counselors is 100% true. I reported someone to Ms. Yost and suddenly the next day everyone knew about it. There's a whole story there, and it turns out that it was never documented. Ms. Bayliss lets students SA other students, and then put in writing, that it never happened. The dean's son's friends can get away with anything. I was told by the dean that the security cameras do not work and haven't worked for years. I have a lot more to say about this school, but it would involve a very long line of cussing. If you are considering SRMS for your child, avoid this school like the plague. read more

My daughter likes this school and she's excited to go to school every morning! That says enough for me!

Brand new middle school/Junior high school opened in August 2019. So far it looks pretty amazing. Since all the teachers are new, students are new, buildings new it seems like there's a really good ' fresh start' feeling about the school. Kids have already done cross country, and there was a lot of effort from the parents and the staff during all of the races. As you walk in the front door, you can see the new style school. There's a lot of new technology in use with surveillance as well as security doors and security windows. It makes a parent feel better, with all of the horrible things that of happened to schools lately. It seems like a lot of thought has been put into helping keep our kids safe. As you drive here, there's a series of roundabouts that help try to keep the traffic flow. During pick up time, there can be quite a back up of cars to get out. It's not as bad as when the school first opened. The only other issue, is there's a lot of building going on to the left and the right of the school. New businesses, so not only is there a lot of construction sites, but lots of areas are blocked off. read more

horrible school. it has ruined my mental health while going here. the office is ran by students that are constantly on their phones, barely any help is served. the school does not solve any type of bullying at all. its always just a small warning and they're off. the staff also favorite the bullies/popular kids for some reason, which is truly unfair. the principal is also a horrible person. she does NOT help with anything, all she does is argue and yell with parents and students (from friend's experience). it is also crazy how this school had told google to turn off their reviews to hide the fact that this school is a horrid. some teachers were okay but most were just straight up rude for no reason at all. I got my phone taken away and to the office on the FIRST warning by one of my teachers while I was texting my mom in a panic after a false alarm (which I did not know was an accidental alarm), and I was obviously shaking in fear after the alarm. I thought teachers were aloud to take your phone and give it a trip to the office on the third warning? forgot to mention that when another student had pulled out her phone out, (she has pulled out her phone so many times through the year), all she got was a warning. I am so glad I am NEVER coming back to this school ever again. it is worse than hell in there. read more

When students do anything wrong, they are put into a small room with nothing but a desk, all day. whilst being in there we do not learn anything. The counselors turn everything into a big deal, and call your parents. one day you finally open up, and the next day somehow the whole school knows. The front desk is run by kids. the kids there are constantly on there phone. The school is full of neglect, dishonesty, and horrible service, unless you want to physically want to go through a living hell, don't go here. if you see the principal, Jill Bayliss, immediately run screaming, and get as far away as possible. Horrible service. Treated everyone terribly. Made me feel extremely unsafe and hopeless. When I talked to the counselors all they did was call my parents and not even try to help me. I was extremely depressed and all they did was treat me like crap. Nobody tried to help me. The teachers act nice around the parents, but as soon as its just the kids they are rude, disrespectful, and cruel. Please don't go to this school. You will regret it. the front office is even worse. They have kids working up there and they don't know anything. If they hear you got back from therapy or your parent is dropping off your medicine to the nurse, the next day the whole school knows. They just go on their phones and don't do anything. When your in trouble they keep you in a tiny room with nothing but a desk and a chair. They don't even check in to make sure your safe, you just sit there. Wondering why you're still alive after going to this school. Honestly I don't know how the adults who work here sleep at night. I went here for three years and all three years I had the most awful experience of my life. The teachers don't teach you anything, and just give you packets all day. My daughter is in her second year here, so far we've been very happy with the experience as we've had. Front office staff has been awesome. Most of the teachers seem pretty great. Overall I would say I am a fan of the school and I would tell anyone we've never had any issues and that it's a good school to go to. read more

I just came from Mendive middle school and that was a bad school.coming to sky ranch really made me feel safe and not feel like I was going to get into fights every day with girls. so that's all I have to say but if you want to find a really good school with good kids,teaching and staff definitely come to sky ranch!! read more
