My mom and I had a 3:00 PM appointment, me for a pedicure and her for a manicure. Despite having an appointment, the salon were taking walk-ins so I wasn't even seated until 3:30, and my pedicure didn't actually start until around 4:00. There was also confusion about the services we had booked, even though we clarified that I was the only one getting a pedicure. By 4:30, my mom still hadn't been helped and had to ask why she hadn't been seated. Instead of apologizing, one of the ladies working prioritized a walk-in because she was a regular customer and lied to us that she had "made an appointment" as the customer's daughter had previously said they were walk-ins, and as another lady (who's appointed was at 3:30) was waiting to be seated as well. I got my nails done last week with gel polish and gel always lasts for two weeks. My nails lifted-- one completely came off after a couple days. I called and they told me to come the next day but I wasn't able to until three days later they said it was ok. I walked in today and they said oh well gel grows as your nails grow. Guess I should have read the reviews first- new manager? Found myself very uncomfortable in an unnecessary confrontation with the male manager. He was rough and ended up ripping part of my nail off. It actually really hurts and he drops his tools, scolds me saying "if you can't handle this then I can't work on your nails and you can go somewhere else." He grabbed a female to finish taking my nails off while he sat in the front scrolling around social media. She was in the middle of one service trying to do two services. This place is probably ok if you get a good manicurist? My appt was at 10:45, there were 3 employees sitting around and I still had to wait for service. Kim took me. I do not wear nail polish (I pick it off) so I just wanted a manicure. She gave me one alright. It was over in 10 minutes! She did not clean under the nails and left them so rough it feels like they've been rubbed with sandpaper. They sent me a survey and I was honest. Not going back. Sorry to say this as I've come here for years, but I had gel nails done on May 8. By May 12, 2 had fallen off - which never happens, usually requires sandblasting to remove this stuff - so I took time I didn't have to go back and get repaired for a trip I left for on 5/14. By 5/18 *all but one* had chipped then fallen off! I got back from Vegas on the 22nd but was sick - I called and left a message no one returned my call. Went in today to ask if I could get a discount to have to do it again so soon and I was told "it was too late and they fall off in 2 weeks". I've had my nails done w gel well over a decade - that isn't true! This is the first time I've had a bad gel process. Very sad as I love this salon, but will go elsewhere after this experience. This salon used to be my go too, unfortunately it went down hill. This past month I went to get my nails filled, I made an appointment as usual. I Waited about an hour, I wasn't in a rush so it truly wasn't much of a problem. Douglas started my my fill for my nails, once he started he did end up cutting my around 4 times, everything was going fine until he got to shaping my nails, I like mine square and short because I work within the medical field. He did not like that I needed them short and they were not square at all, they were rounded with slanted tops. Danny ended up taking over and attempted to reshape them, they ended up the same way they were before except extremely thin, they painted them with gel and I went on my way. Not even a few seconds later did one completely break and the polish chipped. I have absolutely NEVER had a nail break on me, I have sturdy nail beds and have no problem with my acrylics. I was so let down, honestly the past few experiences I've had at this salon is enough for me to not come back. read more
