I got my nails done last week with gel polish and gel always lasts for two weeks. My nails lifted-- one completely came off after a couple days. I called and they told me to come the next day but I wasn't able to until three days later they said it was ok. I walked in today and they said oh well gel grows as your nails grow. I have been getting gel on my nails for YEARS and never had an issue until this salon. It made me so uncomfortable that I just left. Guess I should have read the reviews first- new manager? Found myself very uncomfortable in an unnecessary confrontation with the male manager. He was rough and ended up ripping part of my nail off. It actually really hurts and he drops his tools, scolds me saying "if you can't handle this then I can't work on your nails and you can go somewhere else." By May 12, 2 had fallen off - which never happens, usually requires sandblasting to remove this stuff - so I took time I didn't have to go back and get repaired for a trip I left for on 5/14. Went in today to ask if I could get a discount to have to do it again so soon and I was told "it was too late and they fall off in 2 weeks". This salon used to be my go too, unfortunately it went down hill. This past month I went to get my nails filled, I made an appointment as usual. I Waited about an hour, I wasn't in a rush so it truly wasn't much of a problem. Douglas started my my fill for my nails, once he started he did end up cutting my around 4 times, everything was going fine until he got to shaping my nails, I like mine square and short because I work within the medical field. He did not like that I needed them short and they were not square at all, they were rounded with slanted tops. Danny ended up taking over and attempted to reshape them, they ended up the same way they were before except extremely thin, they painted them with gel and I went on my way. Not even a few seconds later did one completely break and the polish chipped. I have absolutely NEVER had a nail break on me, I have sturdy nail beds and have no problem with my acrylics. I was so let down, honestly the past few experiences I've had at this salon is enough for me to not come back. read more

I have been to Sky Nails several times and had no problems. Unfortunately, the past 2 visits have been disappointing and today's visit warrants a review. Today, my daughter and mother went for a manicure and pedicure. They made a reservation for 11 am. When they arrived at 10:55 to check in, it was standing room only. All the chairs in the waiting area were occupied. They were called back at around 11:20. It was 11:30 before anyone started to fill the water. Almost immediately upon putting their feet in to soak, they were relentlessly pressured into upgrading their package. My mother agreed to pay extra for an additional treatment to her heels. My mother did not receive the upgraded heel treatment and my daughter was cut on her toe and her finger. The top coat on her toes is chipping and flaking already. To the extent that we reapplied topcoat when they returned home. Overall, the experience was disappointing. They felt rushed and pressured to pay more for upgraded experiences. The salon was too busy to honor reservations in a timely fashion. They were too short-staffed to provide quality service. It was not peaceful nor was it remotely relaxing. read more
