I have been coming to thus salon for about 7 years. Service is mostly okay. The owner and some of the ladies can be brusque. If all you need is a pedicure, and you get one of the friendly ladies, it is a great experience. If you expect a great basic manicure, go elsewhere. Your nails will be abused. Back and forth filing with a really rough file. Nails does not get filed smoothly at all. I left to discover a tear in my nail, which broke while sorting laundry only 5 hours later. To fix it I will likely ruin not only the nail varnish on that nail, but all of them. This will be my second and last manicure here. They recently renovated and enlarged their space. My pedicure is now $8 more than what I used to pay (2 months ago). I always use my own polish as theirs is so old and they lack variety. I will be looking elsewhere. I do want to mention Donna. The boss is always in a mood and has attitude, it looks like he doesn't enjoy his job and looks like I'm bothering him when I go to pay and when I come in the store. The place is okay. I went here for a quick nail color change & the man at the front desk made me feel as though I have no importance as a customer just because I was getting a color change done. I said I wanted my nails filed down & him & the nail tech both looked at me like I had requested something crazy... As soon as I walked in and throughout my entire stay there was an overwhelming smell of incense burner and with hardly any ventilation going on it gets hard to breath. If Im going to a nail salon then I expect a certain level of cleanliness and organization. Every seat is so packed close together, the lady behind me kept hitting my chair when moving out and about. The nail techs are speaking obnoxiously loud making it completely awkward. The lady next to me was getting her nails painted as well and her nail tech messed up her nails and instead of redoing the nail she just painted over that spot making it splotchy. It just looks like they want to fit as many people as they can so they're extremely crowded with their furniture. The lady who did my nails did not remove my previous color completely so I had multiple splotches of my red polish left on my nails AND on my fingers. She didn't even think to remove any of the excess polish from my skin. All in all - ridiculous, unprofessional, disorganized, cluttered, bad customer service, & overall not clean. DO NOT go to sky nails. My customer service was horrible, AND all of my nails are uneven, lumpy, and different shapes. They charged me a total of $45 for NORMAL SNS while their menu says $35. They continued to up charge me. After the session was over I told my nail artist I had left over black polish all over my hands! She took a little amount off then said "ok. Bye" leaving a majority of it on. HIGHLY disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. Also my personal nail technician spoke little English and barley spoke loud enough for me to hear. She didn't ask my name or even tried to engage in small talk. She also tired to blame the lumpiness of the nails on me saying I bumped them when I clearly did not. read more

Worst pedicure I've ever had. I booked four appointments and all of us were done in twenty minutes flat. She forgot lotion on one of my legs then when I reminded her she claimed she did it already. I like to recline my seat and one of the employees kept raising my seat up so the chair didn't "hit the wall". !Heres an idea, let the customer be comfortable and move the chairs! I had been coming here for many years because it was close to my house and service for the most part was acceptable. The guy who runs it has the worst attitude as a business owner. He is usually in a bad mood, never greets you with a smile and make you feel you are bothering him. I called to ask for an appointment and all he said was we are busy. Didn't offer an alternate time (I called 1:15 before they close and can get there in a speed of time) or the next day which is customer service 101. I don't want to discredit all the other ladies who work there as they are all nice and hardworking but their boss truly doesn't care about the business or keeping customers. This nail salon is awful. The guy at the front is so rude and grumpy. I came in on a Friday EARLY afternoon (1ish) so that I could bring my kids with me and not be in any ones way. I asked him if I could bring in a stroller and he seemed confused and angry that I was asking him a question, so a customer answered for him and said her daughter brings one all the time. So I go get my kids and Then I come in with the stroller and he is so annoyed it took me 5 whole minutes to get them in a stroller and then into the store. (All three were all quiet watching videos, taking naps.) he tells me with an angry voice "she's waiting for you" and rolls his eyes. He keeps walking back and forth making sure my kids are not bothering anyone (again still napping and watching videos). Then I come back 30 minutes later (I was at another store and my daughter decided she needed to go potty) and I ask if we can use the restroom and he thinks about it and says "fine!". I would rate them average, maybe slightly above. Certainly worth more than 1-2 stars. I needed a quick pedi and really didn't want to battle the traffic on Cumming HWY to get to my usual spot. I walked in and was immediately seated for my pedicure #winning. I am pretty easy to please with polish color so I quickly identified the gel color I wanted. If you like to have a lot of options and are looking for GEL Polish- this may not be the place for you, as there wasn't much of a selection. The women that did my pedicure was nice and polite but seemed confused that I wanted a gel polish pedicure and not artificial toe nails. Once we got on the same page we were ready to go. I selected the pedicure I wanted (hot stone for $35) and she got started. Now I know, that gel costs more but it would've been nice to know how much more in advance (not that it would've changed my request but you'll understand why this caused some annoyance later on). The pedicure was just alright..... she was very gentle and soft so the massage felt more like being pet not massaged. Outside of the that, the rest of the pedi was good. She cut, filed, shaped, and polished my nails perfectly. Once we were done, I walked over to the register and the young man yelled out something (I assume he was asking how much to charge), the women that did my pedicure yelled $50 and another person (I assume the owner and father of the young man) yelled $45. The young man swiped my card for $45 and almost immediately, the man I assumed to be the owner came over hastily and moved him out of they way while sulking. Apparently, I should've been charged $50 not $45 after all. He stated he would void the first charge and then charged my card again. For this little disorganization/ inconvenience and the lack of a true pedicure massage, I had to knock off 1 star. Otherwise, in a bind, this place isn't bad. read more

Polish must have been old because it was either to thick on one side or too thin on the other. When I got outside in natural light and saw my nails, I was horrified. I just moved to the area and thought I would try this place. The woman who did my nails did a good job but they nickle and dime you and no, they are not friendly. I spent $45 to get SNS nails and when the woman was done, she wiped oil on my nails. I said, "is there no hand or neck massage?" which you ALWAYS get with a manicure and she told me, "No" that I would need to get the deluxe manicure for $55!!!! What??? Give me an *&%$ break.
