The food was excellent and very tasty, with a nice mix of familiar options like a traditional margherita pizza, along with pastas and Sicilian dishes. Everything we had was satisfying and well done. The outdoor seating is very lively and has a great Palermo atmosphere. We wanted something a little quieter, so we sat inside, where there are only a few tables. That ended up being perfect for us. Overall, this was a very enjoyable meal in a great location. Good food, a fun setting, and a nice way to experience the energy of Palermo.

Everything here looked and smelled so good that our "quick bite" rapidly morphed into full meal with multiple arancini accompanied by a wonderful bottle of their house wine. I went with the "scialatiello" which consisted of pasta with eggplant, pesto, and ricotta salata. The portion was of appropriate size, but the pasta was a little hard for my liking. There also did not appear to be much eggplant incorporated into the dish. The pesto, however, was different than what I am used to, but it was pleasant. It was not a typical green color, but more dark color. I enjoyed it, as it was not too strong of a basil taste. I also had some of the house salad, no complaints there. Will I go back? Probably.

While the quality of the food here is AOK, the overwhelming downside of this restaurant is their amazingly rude and incompetent service! The staff alternated between ignoring us and rude replies to our requests, even though my friend spoke excellent Italian :-( It takes more than decent food for a restaurant to be good, and with service like we received here, two stars is the best possible review I feel comfortable giving.
