This review is for Sky Events and Production in Los Angeles. First off Lilit and Dimas are young, accommodating and attractive. They met with me and created the "Wow" event I was after to impress potential clients and make new ones. One of the best assets Sky has is their brilliance with floral design. There are above and beyond and in the top 1% of excellent florists in all of LA and NY. The budget I spent with Sky was well worth it. When friends and acquaintances find out I had Sky Events coordinating and designing my launch party, they have all been immediately impressed. At least the ones 'who are in the know' have been! Is it possible to give 0 stars? We went to Sky Flowers in June 2011 & met with Lillet (co-owner?) to discuss flowers for our wedding in August 2011. Lillet was very nice in person and assured me that she could accommodate our small budget. She promised to get me a quote by the end of the weekend. When the quote never came, I tried to be forgiving and waited a week before calling Lillet to ask about the quote. She apologized for not getting back to me, and again promised to get me the quote by the end of the week. Needless to say, that never happened. I called Lillet again after I never got the quote she promised. She apologized for being so busy that it had slipped her mind. She assured me that she would be emailing the quote by the end of the day since she was going to NY for an event. I waited until the end of the day, and the quote never came. By that point, it was clear that Sky Flowers was unreliable as a florist. If they treat you like this before you've finalized a contract with them, I was unwilling to trust them to be my florist on my wedding day. I had to start looking for a new florist at that point, which already set me back at least 3 weeks. About 1 month after our initial meeting, Lillet finally emailed me the quote, and it was over $500 over our maximum floral budget. I would NOT recommend this floral shop for any budget brides out there. I saw Lillet on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills a few months after they screwed us over, and I realized that they care about celebrity clients more than anything else. In sum, stay away from Sky Flowers if you don't want to be disappointed! Planning a wedding/event is hard enough. You don't need a bad florist to make your life harder. read more

If you're on a budget and want something really nice - this is not the place for you. I had to oder over the phone unfortunately and wasn't able to see what I was going to be getting before hand. I wanted 4 plush reasonably sized centerpieces and what I got were pretty nice centerpieces but they were not plush and the quantity was wrong but its okay. I saw some really nice pieces on her site so I would only use her again if I had a large budget and couls spare no expense. Then I think I'd get the elegance I wanted. read more

So I went her on Valentine's Day to get some roses for my mother. I knew it was going to run a bit more than the other people on the corners selling roses on every block. I agreed to the 50 bucks for a mixture of red and white roses 6 red and 6 white. Not exactly sure why but the white roses all dwindled and died within 72 hours. The red ones are doing fine still 3 days later but I think I got raped on the white ones. If the woman behind the counter would have just told me that the white we're going to die so fast I would have just bought a dozen of the red ones as opposed to having my mothers disappointed face after only 3 days to see her flowers die. Wow!!' From what I experienced yesterday made me absolutely love this place. One of my clients was injured so I wanted to get her "get well" flowers. I was literally driving by and ran in. She sensed my desperation and said "how much you want to spend? $20." I said yes. She said ok, hold on... She went inside the fridge, grabbed some stuff and went to other room. 5 min later walked out with a beautiful and perfect arrangement with a small vase. They did my wedding flowers this past fall, and they did an amazing job, so amazing, in fact, that all the engaged couples who were at my wedding are now asking for the same arrangements for their OWN weddings (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!) They were personable, professional and extremely willing to work within my budget, i.e. they listened to my needs rather than tell me what my needs should be. I could have been more specific in the design of my bouquets, but that was my fault more than theirs. They were nice, just more round than I would have preferred. I know I'm not the only one because I've sent a couple friends there and they've all thanked my profusely. Sky Flowers came recommended by a friend who had gotten married a few months before us. She gave us Lilit's name, and said it was a real pleasure to work with her. I completely agree. First, Lilt made herself available at all times. She answered every email, text message, and phone call. In fact, I just searched for "lilit" on my email, and 48 results were found. I wish I could take a screenshot of this...subject headers include: "Chupah Found!", "Centerpiece Options", "Centerpiece Pics", "Sample Viewing", "Nicki's [Our planner] Contact Info". Lilit did not do this because she knew us, felt obligated, or because of the money. In fact, she had never met us before, and we told her we didn't want to spend too much on flowers. She gave us an array of gorgeous options that all came in priced below our max budget. Lilit's passion to help people on any occasion was apparent from the first day. I remember walking in and seeing her tagging various floral books for new ideas and inspiration. She and her mother are sweethearts, and they made my wedding fun and enjoyable. The rating is really between a 2 & 3 star only because they were extremely nice to deal with and very friendly but they did not deliver. I was underwhelmed and don't think I received what was promised for how much we paid. The table cloth used for the main table for our wedding looked just awful. Plain, wrinkled, not the glam pintuck cloth we had discussed. Also, the flowers on my centerpieces were skimped on, didn't look lush or full. I just had so much hope but the delivery was underwhelming. The cherry on top is that my expensive champagne glass was broken by their employee and they blatantly denied any fault. Lets see: rude people. Fined for disturbing the peace. Fire broke out because of their uncleanliness. You can see where there was a fire. Leaves dog out in parking lot all day, has loud trucks blocking the entrance. When I approached, the lady scowled and screamed at me. There was an awful lot of litter in the parking lot and near the entrance. That didn't give me a great feeling. I called before, and I couldn't understand her. When I asked if she could repeat that, she accused me of not understanding English. I tried to ask about something but the trucks were so loud, I couldn't hear myself think.
