I met Mitchell at the home after his inspection and he spent an hour meticulously walking me through what he reviewed (inside and out) and its condition. Later that day he emailed the same information in a detailed write up with photos. You're not just getting an inspection ... you're getting peace of mind.

Suzanne is detailed, quick to respond (even on the weekend, I found!), and carried us along in the process. We were able to schedule the appointment in perfect timing for our inspection period. Brian is thorough, knows codes exceptionally well, and is willing (albeit at a respectful distance during COVID) to take you through his inspection step-by-step, answer questions, and offer advice within reasonable parameters. The process prior to the inspection outlines the stipulations of the inspection, what is possible and what is not possible (such as when accessing a sealed attic, which is not possible if it is sealed). The report that Brain develops makes him stand out from other home inspectors. It is comprised of labeled photos, with digital markups, and many, many written pages on issues that came up during the inspection, details on areas where he was not able to provide a full inspection (such as invading by cutting into a wall), and plenty of details on how to proceed once (and if) you become the homeowner. That, and the massive 300-page book he (might!) give you on how to operate your home from top to bottom, makes his service very worthwhile. We are also glad we ordered the Radon test, as the results showed us we need to act on it when we move in! Overall the inspection has given us great confidence in making a purchase on our home. When I arrived on site the majority of the inspection was already performed, which was fantastic. The inspector on site gave me a thorough walk around the house and explained everything exactly as it would appear on the report. Along with the inspection came a great deal of knowledge and experience. You could tell this company has a high level of integrity due to the extent the inspector took the inspection too. If anything, I think he's the victim of an industry that preys on naivety of home-buyers and the expectation of having an inspection done at any cost. Our offer was accepted on a small condo, and we hired Inspections Plus to do a routine inspection to be sure there weren't any issues before we had the inspection contingency removed. As background. the building is a bit older, but the unit is entirely updated with all new appliances. In the end I felt scammed. Maybe it's my fault for not reading everything more thoroughly before hiring them, but I wasn't impressed. Essentially we paid $275 for a technician to tell us that the craftsmanship of the unit is great. I was more concerned about issues with the building (possible upcoming repairs that would ultimately fall to us as HOA members) but none of that was really addressed beyond "You don't have to worry about that--it's an issue for the HOA." From my perspective, if I'm buying into this building, I have to pay the HOA fees which could go up if there are building-wide issues. I'm satisfied that our unit checked out, but I don't feel that it was that thorough, and I don't feel any more confident in the state of the building overall. I felt that this service was worth about $100, not $275.
