Unprofessional and overpriced TLDR; drilled into my heated…read morefloor pipe did not fix it, brought his kid with and was quite overpriced, seek other options. I wanted to give someone local support for my radon mitigation system. From the start he arrived late, we had previously discussed via email that i had a heated floor and he said that would not be a problem, he forgot the tool he needed to check where the tubes were so he left for an hour to retrieve the tool. When he came back he had his son with him i was not asked if i wanted to take part in take your kid to work day at all but here he was. He started by using a flir camera to "see" where the lines were, he had me come to verify what was supposedly there which should have been my first clue that he did not know what he was doing, i have since been told by the guy who came to help me sort this mess out a bit that people who do this more regularly use a kind of xray like machine to verify that they are drilling in the right spot. They then got to work..... with the son drilling the hole in my concrete floor as you possibly have surmised by now they drilled into a water line and he had me shut off the water at which point he most likey should have got a plumber out here at his cost as it was his screw up right? No he kept going despite admittedly not knowing what he was doing with my heated flooring system, he took the rest of the concrete out of the hole and cut the line himself without asking and tried to fix it himself as well when that didnt work he and his son went to lunch..... for over two hours. Then the electrician came to wire the fan up, he was setting up his ladder to go in the attic when he said "i didnt do that" while pointing to the entrance to my attic which had dirty handprints all over it that were not there beforehand, the electrician was professional and in and out in a half hour. The radon guy and his son came back and finished what was left of the radon mitigation system job he said he would be back to try to fix the pipe at this point i should have called a plumber and had them fix it but i sadly waited for him, he came back and tried basically the same thing which had the same results, failure. He then left. Over the next two days i drove to menards twice to get things to try to properly fix my floors, which might i add took out my hot water for the whole time so cold showers, also in trying to fix the pipe i ended up looking in the hole for the radon system that had a bunch of trash in it he had left behind. I finally got the leak sorted myself but the floors apparently needed to be blead of air for them and my hot water to work so i had a plumber come out to look at them then i finally had hot water for the first time in over two days. Where was the radon guy in all this time you ask? He went on vacation. They left their radon detector in my house the whole time and by the time he came back i was understandably not interested in his radon testing services and a bit later they came and got their radon detector. The next interaction i had was him invoicing for the entire agreed upon amount like it had all gone well and they didnt know why i had not paid despite me saying via email that we needed to discuss settling up for payment. In the end i got about 500 dollars off of the overall price and i just accepted it to no longer have to deal with him even though they were overpriced to begin with. Overall it was a terrible experience, the only good thing is that the radon mitigation system works. I would go with anyone else if you have the option.

Our install was done by Derick Leverty. He was on time, was super pleasant to have in our house,…read moregot his job done quickly considering the navigation of my plumbing. He discussed with me aspects of the system and possible future maintainance which was reaasuring. Definitely give them a chance to bid.
