Although the inspector was pleasant enough, he left a number of messes and didn't return things back to the way he found them i.e. broke clasp on salt shaker when moving stove and dirt on floor from moving, grim in bath sink, stain on wall, locked windows when they were unlocked, left blind askew, dropped furnace cover etc etc. Seems minor but they need to be more careful and respectful of peoples expensive things. I won't let them hack in my house! When another inspection happens on intend on being in the house to guard it!! read more

They left a mess, were careless, and listed items that were not true, which raises questions about how much of the report is accurate or trustworthy. * several windows were not operational when they were if ALL the locks on the window had been unlocked... * several outlets didn't function, but, they do and they are synced to a 3-way switch at the front of the house. They left a trail throughout the home: insulation fluff and cracked paint on the floor, black scuffs from shoes in 2 bathtubs, tile - black hand marks on attic doors which were on the bright white ceiling. read more

Nice staff and well mannered/pleasant inspectors. However, main inspector could not get up on the roof of 2 story house because it was "too high". Yet, chimney inspector also from Marigold was able to get on the same roof the very next day. So roof was not inspected. Also, paid for sewer inspection, but they did not have the right size camera for scope...Was told they will try to scope next day but did not know when. Had to call and was told inspection was from 10-12pm (the next day after initial failed scope). After further calling at the end of the business day, they couldn't do it and had to delay another day to get a sewer partner involved. Ultimately not having the right equipment caused delay in sewer inspection report which was not available until our deadline day. I do not recommend this inspection company if you have less than 14 days as an inspection window. read more

i would highly recommend not using this company . they did a home inspection this winter and turned the furnace off to the house on the coldest week of the year and froze and broke a lot of water lines in the house . the house floofed with water for about 2-3 days . They also didn't pay for repairs of the work and now they have to be brought to court to get payment for the desctruction they cause . Stay far away from this company read more

He inspected inside and outside (not expecting that), and told me things I should have the HOA take care of. He made me feel comfortable and was super respect even though I don't know much about home maintenance and such. Loved them. I would not recommend Marigold Home Inspections. They recently did a home inspection for us, we moved in, and thank God our water heater wasn't working and CenterPoint Energy came out to look at it. The first words out of the technician's mouth were "Did you have your home inspected?" I replied, "Yes, why?" Answer: Because you see this pipe right here, it is at least an inch short and carbon monoxide is leaking, I may have to tag your home if I can't fix it!" Again, thank God he was able to fix it. My husband wondered why he was experiencing headaches, now we knew why. I sent a letter to Marigold letting them know this was missed and requesting we be reimbursed the amount we paid for the inspection, as this is not the only item we feel was missed, and of course, we have not heard anything back from them. Would not recommend them! read more
