Favorites here are the milk chocolate bark with pistachios, the strawberry stick, and far too many of the praline truffles. I'm not a big fan of dark chocolate and much prefer milk, even though the milk chocolate at most places tends to be cloyingly sweet - Laderach gets it right, not overly sweet but still rich. If you get a box of this chocolate, know that whoever gifted it truly cherishes you! Depending on who's manning the counter, you may be lucky to get some samples.

I thought maybe she didn't realize I was next in line so let it be, but then when it came time for me to place my order she said she'll help me after she helps them. When I corrected her that it's my turn, she rang up my purchase and asked if I wanted to pay that many dollars. Very disappointed with this experience.

I saw some chocolate alfajores (my fave), and some other alfajores with what looked like a fruit filling. I asked her what the filling was, and her response was, "Um, I don't know." That is an unacceptable response. She works there, and she should be able to answer questions about every item they sell. To me, that question would be a pretty common one, so "Let me find out" would have been a better response. I bought a few things and I'm sure they'll be good. But I hope they'll train their folks more thoroughly.

Wayside Country Store has a great selection of Linda Lou sink strainers, my mother was searching for a few designs she didn't own yet and we found them on Wayside Country Store's website. We placed an order for four different strainers (hummingbird, kitty, fishy & butterfly) but due to a storm and outage the store was unable to process the order. I gave them a call and they happily processed my order over the phone. They were extremely apologetic and friendly. Once the shipment arrived we found that we had received two kitty strainers and no fishy strainer. I emailed their customer service and they immediately offered a replacement or credit. We asked for a replacement stating we'd be happy to pay for it (just hoping maybe Wayside could cover shipping) however they shipped out a replacement to us at no cost. We will be ordering again!
